Kitchen extension We would 100% recommend Adam and his team for any building project. They were calm, tidy, organised, great to work with day to day taking into account our busy family and need to keep things running despite not having a kitchen. The whole team were happy to answer any questions we or the kids had for them. Thanks to them the whole project was a very positive experience. The end result is more than we could have hoped for.

No hesitation in recommending Adam and team. They recently completed our extension and we are delighted with the result. Every member of the team was respectful, friendly and a pleasure to work with, experienced and efficient. They have an excellent attitude towards problem solving and making things right. Costs and timings did not drift from quotation.

Highly recommend Adam and his team. Let's face it, having major renovations done is very stressful, and Adam fully understands that and goes out of his way to make everything run smoothly. Most importantly, he is honest and transparent, which is especially helpful when quoting. Our project came in very close to his original quote, which was a relief. Adam and his team have a genuine passion for what they do, and nothing is too much trouble. Phase 1 of our project has been done to an amazing standard, and we are keen to get Adam and team back for phase 2!

As an architect working across the residential sector, I work with a number of different contractors regularly, and am introduced to new ones consistently by clients. I have worked with A Hurst for over 5 years now. Their approach to building projects has remained top throughout this period. From start to finish, their communication and coordination skills are highlighted as stand out performers. Starting with being always responsive, quick to arrange meetings and producing detailed quotes, they immediately make clients want to work with them, as organisation and reliability are key factors. Their proposed timeframes and quotes for projects are always competitive, ensuring client satisfaction. Once appointed on site, their investment in an app to keep clients in the loop of on-site operations and timescales, makes in quick and simple to keep track of. With a team that is friendly and efficient with what they do. All of this combined means I am sure both myself and my clients will continue to work with A Hurst for years to come.

We hired Adam and his team for a full reconfiguration of our home, including new bathrooms, kitchen, plumbing, electrics, and windows. From the outset, their integrity stood out — it’s clearly more than just a motto for them, it’s how they operate. They were sympathetic to our budget and helped us make smart choices without compromising on quality. Their work ethic, problem-solving ability, and creative ideas were exceptional. They kept the project moving forward at a rapid pace and delivered high standards throughout. Communication was always clear and everyone was super friendly. They were a genuine pleasure to work with. When you hear from friends about difficult projects, Adam's team exceeded all expectations and we had total trust in them. I’m more than happy to recommend them and talk about the great work they’ve done for us.

Adam and team have been absolutely fantastic. They have gone above and beyond doing a fantastic kitchen extension and then helping us out when other tradesmen have let us down. High quality and superb service. Couldn't recommend them more.

Adam and the team completely renovated the ground floor of our house, replacing an extension and going from digging foundations to final decoration. All his staff and sub contractors were brilliant and always polite and delivered to a high standard. Highly recommend.

Full house renovation and extension Adam was a builder recommended to us by our Architects so we knew already his company had an excellent reputation and quality of work. From the moment we met him to start our project we clicked and knew he was the right person for us to make our dream a reality. Our project was massive and we moved out for 7 months so it was very daunting as we had never done anything like it before. Adam and his team are all highly professional but also kind and communicative. We had a full timeline and everything was costed out, they kept us up to date daily with updates and photos via an app. Amazing.

Patio landscaping We wanted to build a patio to complement our downstairs renovations and once again we called on Adam and his team. We were so happy with the house renovations and again we are really pleased with our new patio. The whole team worked really well with us, helping to visualise the space, chose the correct materials and complete within the estimated timeframe and budget. Very tidy, very friendly and the workmanship was excellent. We will be calling on Adam and his team for the upstairs renovation next.

Single story extension Adam has some how managed to find the most polite trades in the area. Everyone was considerate and polite. They did a good job cleaning up and the quality of the build was fantastic. Adam was great to work with, he didn't sqauble over pennies and when things did need to change he went out of his way to make sure it didn't impact costs.

Really disappointed to see one of your drivers so busy tailgating the car in front to barge an ambulance out of the way. If you want to keep work in Lakewood Road I suggest you ensure your driver's represent your business better, your ratings for your actual work are excellent.

Garage conversion Adam and his team were fantastic from start to finish. The worked quickly and tidily and used their wealth of experience to offer advice along the way. They transformed our garage into a beautiful bedroom with en suite and the suggestion of a vaulted ceiling really makes the room feel so spacious. Any issues that cropped up during the work were discussed and a quickly resolved. The quality of finish is exceptional. Adam and his team made sure every detail was completed. We are extremely happy with their work and will not hesitate to ask them back again!
