JORDAN/QATAR TRIP I just want to thank AFS and my fellow travelers for an amazing trip. While the places we visited and the things we did were wonderful!!! It was also the people we were with that contributed to the experience. The locals were warm and friendly. This was my first trip doing this sort of travelling and I felt safe. I opened up myself and went with the flow and it did not disappoint. It was truly amazing! If you're on the fence contemplating or want to try something different give AFS a try! I will be looking forward to my next trip !

Overall great experience; enjoyed the other travelers and organization of events was awesome! hotel in Istanbul was disappointing. Not enough time in Istanbul. Turkey guide Mehmet agitated at times, perhaps because the group was so large. A smaller group would have been better.

We stayed in the most beautiful glass igloos that were temperature controlled and you could literally lay in bed and look up at the night sky! Aurora Borealis hunting the first night, snowmobiling, dog sled rides, a visit to Santa and a chance to feed the reindeer. A unique, fun-filled, beautiful trip to a winter wonderland! Truly a Trip of a LIFETIME, and Adventures for Solo Travelers made our dreams come true! Thanks to Suzy and Terry for creating such a great trip for all of us world travelers!

Just returned from the most fabulous trip to Finnish Lapland, Helsinki and Tallin, Estonia with Adventures for Solo Travelers. We stayed in the most beautiful glass igloos that were temperature controlled and you could literally lay in bed and look up at the night sky! The activities, as outlined in the itinerary we're plentiful and oh so fun... Aurora Borealis hunting the first night, snowmobiling, dog sled rides, a visit to Santa and a chance to feed the reindeer. The itinerary included a little free time for other activities offered, like night Aurora Borealis hunting reindeer sleigh rides, or ice go carts, the Planetarium and other interesting offerings. Food at the Lapland resort was plentiful with breakfast and dinner all you can eat buffets, and if you needed more, lunch buffet or snacks we're available for purchase. Many of us grabbed a snack and an adult beverage and enjoyed making new friends amongst the Wonderful group in the lovely Igloo bar! As for the group, lifelong friends were made as travelers new to the AFS family were welcomed with open arms! I have never seen a group bond as much as this one!!

While the Aurora Borealis is a natural phenom, we were lucky to see it all three nights! You just had to look up and pay attention! We saw them on the first night when we went looking for them and again from the resort property, and even from the cozy Igloos. The trip finished up with a city tour of Helsinki, including the beautiful and unique Rock church.

On our final day day, we took the Ferry over to Tallin, Estonia to help them celebrate their Independence Day (105 years) with a guided tour of the walled city, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

I cannot say enough good things about AFS! I just returned from a fabulous trip where I experienced one adventure after another- snowmobiling, dog-sledding, reindeer sleighs, Northern lights, glass-domed igloo huts, and more. Our GTL, Carol, was wonderful and the group was so friendly and fun! I made so many new friends! This was my 7th trip with AFS and I wouldn’t use any other tour company. I have had experiences and adventures I never dreamed possible.
