In 2024 we were planning our fourth African safari experience, and had previously used Africa Endeavours when booking one previous trip. This time time our experience was to visit Zambia and we chose this company to plan and book out the trip. We were not disappointed. The communication with the company, both during the planning and while on the trip, was excellent. There was always someone who could address our questions and suggest alternatives if we wanted to change any items. This trip was an experience that we will find difficult to beat! The hotels and safari camps were excellent, and in all of them the staff were friendly and knew the kind of experience that we were looking for. Africa endeavours had warned us that at the time of our visit was likely to be hot, and it was the end of the 'Dry season', This turned out to be to our advantage. The animals were concentrated around the water holes, and resulted in fantastic photo ops. Thank you to our Travel designers Vanessa and Maloo for the excellent service.

Shannon arranged the trip of a lifetime for us. From the time we landed until our departure 19 days later every part of our trip was effortless. The insights Shannon shared from her personal experience were invaluable to us. Our Cape town excursion and the helicopter excursion stood were incredible!! We would highly recommend Africa Endeavours!

We booked through Shannon our Fiji and Maldives trips. We didn’t want to come home. Both were fantastic. I dive my wife snorkels. We both saw some of the most amazing things. Swimming with Whale Sharks and Manta Rays is the best. There were no glitches all accommodations were great!! Diving was the best. I loved the small infinity pool at our villa. I was in it every afternoon watching the fish and small black tip sharks swimming by on the water. We will book again, next year through Africa Endeavors very happy with them.

Our family has just returned from the most wonderful trip to Africa, organised by Shannon of Africa Endeavours. In the nearly three week long trip we went to South Africa on safari, followed by a beach holiday in Mozambique. Working with Shannon before our travels was easy and enjoyable. Shannon is a great communicator, responding promptly to our messages, setting up video calls and making sure we were on top of everything needed for the trip. After finding out what we were looking for, Shannon gave us some options to choose from, which ensured we went on a trip tailored to our liking. Our holiday was like a well-oiled machine: all transfers were well organised, all accommodations were beautiful and welcoming, and all activities were perfectly planned and executed. We had nothing to worry about, we were in great hands. It was clear to us throughout our trip that Africa Endeavours has some excellent connections who they can rely on to make their clients’ travels as seamless and friendly as possible. Our South African safari was just perfect. The lodgings was a small private game reserve. The land it was on was huge! But the safari camp only had 24 guests at a time, and we were in our own private camp which was only for our family of six. With it being so small, it offered a very personalized experience with staff who took care of our every need. Our game drive guide and tracker were very experienced and made our outings so much fun. They were not only good trackers but also very safety conscious. We saw the big five several times, as well as so many other animals. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the animals and also the bush in general. The experience was thrilling! Our week in Mozambique was pure bliss! We stayed in a tented ‘suite’ which was a first for us. It was like glamping. The lodging was so comfortable and unique, it is a special memory we will treasure forever. Each suite had their own, small pool with a view over the Indian Ocean. We enjoyed spending time on our deck.
We also loved swimming in the ocean at the resort. The water was so warm, we joked that it was like being in a warm bath, and on some days it even felt like a hot tub.

The resort offered some delicious and healthy food, as well as a daily massage in your room or at a hut overlooking the beach.

They also offered various outings, including visiting nearby islands, where we snorkeled and saw the many colourful fish they have in that area. We also saw dolphins, but missed out on seeing whales due to it being the wrong season for whalespotting.
We also went on a sunset boat ride in one of the traditional fisher boats, with drinks and snacks provided by the resort. It was a very charming outing.
We visited the nearby town which we enjoyed a lot as it allowed us to learn a little about the local culture.

Candice and the team at African Endeavours helped us plan an incredible two-week trip to South Africa in October 2022. From start to finish, the guidance and attention to detail was exceptional. Candice helped us to narrow down lodges for safari, and the result -- Tanda Tula in the Timbavati -- was the perfect combination of incredible game viewing, luxury, and hospitality. Candice's guidance was incredibly helpful in planning the day-to-day itinerary, putting the different stops in our trip in the ideal order and making sure transfers were seamless. A few highlights: her recommendation for a food tour in Cape Town, surprising us with special dining experiences to celebrate our anniversary, and arranging a day of activities at Babylonstoren during our stay there in the winelands. We look forward to working with African Endeavors again...hopefully sooner rather than later!

We used Africa Endeavours for our honeymoon in Kenya. The trip itself was incredible, and the itinerary allowed us to visit an awesome variety of places. Everyone in Kenya was so helpful and friendly, particularly the local travel company they partner with (Albatros Travel), and we felt very well taken care of. However, we were frustrated by our experience with our travel agent. After we booked, we had a hard timing getting her to answer our questions thoroughly or timely, and we got a lot of incorrect information (maps that were wrong, visa instructions for the wrong country, another traveler's lodging info), which didn't give us a lot of confidence that everything was taken care of. Our biggest issue was that we were grossly misquoted for our trip. We provided a budget upfront and were deciding between Kenya and South Africa. Our agent gave us sample itineraries for each, and we specifically asked if both were within our budget. She said yes, that both were, though Kenya may end up being "a touch above". We spent weeks researching each place to ultimately decide that we wanted to go with Kenya. After we paid our planning fee, we received our final cost, and it was 40% more than our initial budget, exclusive of flights. We expressed our surprise and frustration at this, trying to understand what caused such a drastic increase, and our agent's response was "the price is the price". She said the best she could do was waive our planning fee (which she did not actually do). In the end, we'd spent so much time going back and forth and now had our hearts set on Kenya, so we ended up moving forward and paying it, but we would have explored other options or different travel agencies had we known upfront that our initial budget was not realistic. Ultimately, although the trip was great, we wouldn't book with Africa Endeavours again because of the lack of transparency around pricing.

I am the owner of Africa Endeavours, and wanted to respond to you personally, as well as offer to continue this conversation with me directly at 312.951.8517. I am thrilled Kenya was everything you hoped for, for your honeymoon. The country, people and wildlife are so incredibly unique. I always value feedback on how we could improve our services, especially during more challenging travel times these days. Every traveler is very important to us.

I have reviewed the correspondence, and that Kenya and South Africa were discussed as possible honeymoon options, with South Africa being the less expensive of the two destinations. When options were quoted based on your desire for Kenya, there was immediate follow up, presenting ideas to help reduce expenses so you could make decisions based on what was best for you. Things like downgrading lodgings, removing a location completely - which also helps reduce transfer costs, looked at reversing the flow of the trip based on availability etc.

While we cannot adjust the cost of lodges, as we have no control over that, we can and did provide alternatives on how to reduce the overall cost of the trip. I do see Vanessa worked hard with you, continuing to finesse the trip to ensure it was your perfect honeymoon. And lastly, I’ll pass on your kind words about the Albatros ground crew to them - they really are fantastic.

We recently worked with Vanessa for a 2 week trip that included Victoria Falls, Cape Town, a safari and a beach in Mozambique. Vanessa arranged all the flights, hotels, tours and transfers. She had people meet us at each plane to take us through customs and the airports, which relieves a lot of stress when traveling abroad. The hotels were amazing and the tours were fabulous. We loved every minute of our trip and wouldn’t hesitate to use Africa Endeavours again.

This is the second trip that Corinne (and team) planned for our family. Our Australia trip in 2018 was so phenomenal that Corinne was the first person I contacted when we decided we wanted to travel to Africa. The team at Africa Endeavours took the time to learn what our family likes (and doesn’t like) and created a tailored travel experience that we will never forget! We had just the right number of days on safari, which bookended experiences in Victoria Falls and Capetown. The team on the ground in Africa was easy to communicate with and tremendously helpful. Shannon at Africa Endeavors was absolutely wonderful in helping us to plan our honeymoon! She provided us with a number of options for our trip, and allowed us to customize to exactly what we wanted. She provided us with wonderful suggestions/recommendations as well as alternative ideas, which we really appreciated. I was really looking forward to having my first international trip planned by AE, but was quickly met with disappointment. The itineraries posted online are what prompted me to reach out, but I was quickly told that the itineraries online are not available and the website is not up to date. I was advised that I would have to pay a fee of I believe $500 which I had no issue with until I was told that the itineraries were outdated online, so not even sure what I would be getting. I was also told they would not be able to assist with booking airfare which it states on the website they would. I had to agree to a minimum booking of $8,000 not including airfare, which again was fine other than the fact that now I have no idea what sort of itinerary I am paying for since they are outdated on the website. From the first couple of emails, I just had the overall feeling that my budget probably wasn’t the most desirable for this company, so decided to take my business elsewhere. If you are advertising itineraries, I would recommend you keep the information up to date so that people don’t have to waste time and money not knowing what they are getting. Response to owner: As noted above, I cancelled the call and didn’t pay you fees because I have no idea what sort of itinerary I am paying for since the ones you advertised are not up to date and I was told all I needed to know via email prior to you even speaking to me on the phone. As I’m sure you understand, we rely on information to be updated to make decisions and I just want to share my experience with others in case they find themselves in the same position. I will definitely enjoy my trip. Thanks!

Shannon was absolutely amazing. She helped plan the perfect trip to South Africa for our honeymoon. She was very responsive, listened to what we wanted out of the trip and planned everything accordingly, and helped reschedule everything after a covid related delay/change of plans. It was so stress free while we were there knowing we had her on our sude pulling the strings behind the scenes. Highly recommend her and Africa Endeavors!
