Stylish and simple - perfect location We stayed here on a friends' recommendation and weren't disappointed. A really lovely welcoming hotel. We arrived early and although our room wasn't ready we were able to use the restrooms and store our luggage securely so we could go off and explore. Only a 3 min walk to the station (perfect for transfer to and from the Airport) Our double Room was clean and enough space for 2 people. Beautiful bathroom with toiletries supplied and tea and coffee making facilities- even a little fridge. All staff we encountered were incredibly friendly and the lovely relaxing reception and bar areas were stylishly decorated for Christmas 🎄. Breakfast was plentiful however nobody seemed to be checking if you were even eligible for breakfast? We were able to arrange a slightly later checkout as our flight was in the evening (at no extra cost). Would definitely recommend staying here as the location is very central and easy to navigate.

Great little hotel in a big city. We had a superior room on the top floor which had an entrance hall with sink, coffee machine with selection of teas and coffees, fridge, coat hooks, small wardrobe with hangers, free safe, iron, and a small cupboard housing bathrobes and slippers. Shower over lovely bath. Under tile heating and excellent lighting. Very comfortable sitting area in room. Beautifully presented bed of good comfort which was made up nicely every day. Only thing to improve the room would be some bedside drawers - even though the glass tables look nice, they are not as practical for guests. Breakfast was good. There was more choice and plentifulness than at first met the eye. I liked that the tables and chairs were comfortable, attractively upholstered and carefully spaced to make even busy times feel relaxed. All staff that we encountered were genuinely interested in the experience of guests. One reception member of staff came up to the room on the first night to show me how to use the coffee machine - with such good humour at the end of a shift! I wasn’t put off by some more negative reviews. Yes, there are all sorts of people going in and out of a capital city central station or hanging around but I was not put off by the area. The proximity to the centre and the station was a huge advantage. Inside the hotel it is quiet and welcoming.

Highly recommend! Would highly recommend this hotel. Just returned from a stay here with my mum. The general essence of the hotel is very inviting. Decorated beautifully. Giving a very calming and relaxed vibe. A nice retreat when being busy in the city center. Staff on reception were very helpful and friendly. Just a few minutes from central station and Tivoli. Perfect location. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful.

Loved this hotel Just returned from an excellent stay at this hotel and genuinely couldn’t fault a thing. The place is spotless, modern, and so well looked after. The staff were incredibly efficient and friendly — their English was so good it put my language skills to shame! Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and they did not run out of anything. There were 2 serving stations, the upstairs area was slightly larger and had more food but both areas had exactly the same food selection. The location is brilliant — only about a five-minute walk from the train station and perfect for visiting Tivoli Gardens. There are so many fantastic cafés nearby and so many fabulous restaurants within easy reach. The whole area feels clean, safe, and welcoming. I honestly wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

Would stay again, double bed please. 2 minute walk from the central train station, perfect. Smart looking, clean hotel with warm reception. Staff friendly and efficient. Hotel was modern, clean and comfortable. Didn't eat here but food looked good. Room was well heated, bathroom was small but city bathrooms tend to be. Only gripe, why is it so many hotels push together x2 tiny beds. Couples want a double? Bed was comfy but too narrow.

Great hotel for a short break Well located close to station and 18m from airport. Receptionists were polite and friendly and told us all about the hotel and provided a map with the location of Christmas Markets. Our room (443) was in a quite part of hotel with views over the courtyard the only noise was from other guests holding loud conversations in the corridors! The room was great, plenty of space well lit, warm, very clean, toiletries provided and we opted out of room service in return for vouchers. Breakfast was excellent, great choice of foodstuffs considering it was a continental style, waiting staff were polite, friendly and efficient and none of the foods on offer ran out. Check out was smooth and Id recommend this hotel for a short stay in Copenhagen.

Gutes Hotel mit Nachholbedarf bei der Kommunikation Ich verbrachte vier Nächte in Zimmer 259. Vorweg muss ich sagen, dass ich den Aufenthalt erst über die Hotelseite gebucht hatte, dann jedoch bei einem anderen Anbieter einen günstigeren Preis entdeckt hatte und dort buchte, eigentlich mit dem Ziel, die Buchung per Hotelwebsite anschließend zu stornieren. Nachdem ich einige Bewertungen zum Fremdanbieter über Unregelmäßigkeiten bei Hotelbuchungen gelesen hatte, schrieb ich dem Hotel einen Monat vor dem Aufenthalt eine Email und bat um Auskunft, ob mein Aufenthalt über diesen Anbieter im Hotelsystem hinterlegt sei. Leider erhielt ich keine Antwort. Wenige Tage vor meiner Ankunft fragte ich erneut per Mail und erhielt wieder keine Reaktion (auch nicht im Spam). Man könnte meinen, das Hotel braucht keine Gäste. Um sicherzugehen, nutzte ich daher die hoteleigene Buchung. Der Empfang war neutral und gab nur die allernötigsten Informationen zu den Frühstückszeiten, mehr aber nicht (siehe auch unten). Das Zimmer ist hell mit neuwertiger Einrichtung. Es ist ein Einzelzimmer mit einem 90 cm breiten Bett, einem Fenster, das man öffnen kann, in Richtung Straße und einem für dieses Zimmer angenehm großen Bad. Die Zimmergröße ist angemessen. Die Fenster schließen dicht und halten den Lärm von der Straße gut ab. Aus den angrenzenden Zimmern habe ich keine Geräusche gehört. Die Matratze war für mich etwas zu weich. Auf die Zimmerreinigung habe ich durch das "Bitte nicht stören"-Schild verzichtet. Erst nach der Abreise habe ich über andere Bewertungen erfahren, dass ein Reinigungsverzicht mit einem Geschenk belohnt wird (laut anderen Rezensionen soll es sich um einen Bargutschein handeln). Diese Möglichkeit hat der Mitarbeiter am Check-in mit keinem Wort erwähnt. Von einem 4-Sterne-Hotel erwarte ich hier eine bessere Kommunikation. Das Frühstück ist sehr vielfältig und wirklich gut. Das hauptsächlich spanischsprachige Servicepersonal ist motiviert und freundlich und ist beim Nachfüllen immer schnell zur Stelle. Wichtig zu erwähnen ist, dass es zwei im Wesentlichen gleich ausgestattete Buffetstationen gibt, nämlich eine auf Straßenebene und eine im Souterrain etwas weiter hinten, wo es auch noch Tische gibt, falls im vorderen Bereich alles besetzt sein sollte. Insgesamt war ich zufrieden mit meinem Aufenthalt. Indiskutabel ist jedoch das Defizit in der Kommunikation. Auf E-Mails nicht zu reagieren und auf Vorteile eines Verzichts auf die Zimmerreinigung - wovon auch das Hotel profitiert - nicht proaktiv hinzuweisen, sollte nicht vorkommen. Da aber die positiven Aspekte überwiegen, kann ich das Hotel trotzdem empfehlen.

Ausgezeichnete Lage und sehr freundliches argentinisches Personal. Wir kehrten nach mehreren Jahren nach Kopenhagen zurück und wollten ein Hotel in derselben Gegend, in der Nähe des Bahnhofs. Das Hotel ist dadurch sehr gut gelegen – sowohl für die Fahrt zum Flughafen als auch für Spaziergänge durch die gesamte dänische Hauptstadt. Sehr schön renoviert, mit geräumigen und sehr sauberen Zimmern. Das Bad ist groß und verfügt über eine Badewanne, was unserem Sohn besonders gefällt. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet und das argentinische Personal sehr freundlich. In der Nähe gibt es viele gute Restaurants – vor allem Tony’s Pizza

Good Hotel in central location Stayed here for 3 nights, Thurs - Sun. An easy few minutes walk from Central Station. Check-in was quick & efficient. Staff all friendly and welcoming. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Hairdryer, mirror & toiletries in bathroom. Tea/coffee making facilities on desk/dressing table. Beds we felt, were a bit on the small side. You can for go cleaning if room for various incentives - bike hire or voucher towards drinks. Breakfast was plentiful, variety of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, breads, pastries, cold meats, cheese, boiled & scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes, jams, Nutella. A selection of teas, coffee, apple, orange juice and water. There is a bar in the hotel (this is where breakfast is served) a beer & Aperol spritz cost around £19.00. There are no other food options other than breakfast. We ate nearby at Jensens steak restaurant and SSAM Korean restaurant. Apropos was a nice bar couple of minutes from hotel. Further along this street on the other side was the Meatpacking district. We wandered around on Sunday morning, there was quite a few people having coffees and breakfast here. I don’t know what it would be like of an evening? This other side of the hotel felt a bit rougher to us. There are a few gentleman’s clubs & ladies of the night hanging about on the hotel corner and a few blocks beyond. The Tivoli foodhall has lots of options too. There were quite a few food outlets in the station including a McDonald’s, 7 Eleven, Max & Subway. The Scottish, Irish & English bars had various drinks offers on. Everything is within walking distance of the hotel albeit it may take about 45-60 mins to Nyhavn depending on your pace. The metro is an alternative to getting around and cost c£5 for a day pass. We took the train to Malmo and spent an afternoon there. It was direct from Central and took around 40 mins. Fare was c£23 return per person. We also took a canal cruise from Nyhavn it was 60DKR each from the vendor across from H.C. Anderson house whereas the other vendor as you go down steps to the waters behind the anchor wanted more than double this. We were just a bit early for all the Christmas markets as they were just setting up for this weekend coming (14 Nov) we did manage to wander through 2 of them but I found it very expensive. Paper plate of salmon, 6 small Baby potatoes £24. Decorations were expensive too. We enjoyed our trip. I would recommend it, but be prepared (we were) before you go, of the cost of things then it won’t seem so bad. It made Edinburgh Xmas markets seem cheap!

A brilliant hotel and lovely stay!! Me and my partner stayed here for 3 nights in October and we would definitely stay again in the future! The hotel is in an excellent location - a short train ride from the airport (15-20 minutes), and is in close proximity to the train station (approx. a 5 minute walk), as well as the Metro too! We were also approx. a 5 minute walk from Tivoli Gardens, which we loved as we knew we wanted to visit during our stay. Tivoli is amazing and we spent a whole day there - would recommend! The hotel is also in close proximity to the Meatpacking District, which we could walk over to, and had a few great options for food! Our room was great - clean, spacious and looked nice. The breakfast was a really good selection - I managed to try a few different things over the 3 days we stayed, and they had a good variety of different milks e.g. oat, lactose free. It was a nice touch that in the lifts, they had a list of time ranges that showed when breakfast is generally quieter/busier. A lot of positives: the bar has a lovely ambience, the green scheme is a fantastic idea and the staff were really friendly and helpful too! Overall, we had a lovely stay and loved our trip to Copenhagen. We would absolutely stay here again!

Style over subtance The hotel is great for location, close to the train station and also Metro which is great to get around or even walking is possible. Whilst the rooms are clean they definitely offer style over substance. The hoteliers have focused on the interiors and looks, rather than the function of the hotel and what it provides. Our bathroom had a broken toilet seat which moved when sat on it. The shower screen is so small that when you shower the whole bathroom gets completely soaked. Our friend stayed previously and said they had the same issue. The noise from outside the corridor and also from guests above is loud, so the rooms aren’t well insulated. It would be beneficial to have an iron and ironing board in the rooms, although this can be requested. The pillows are very soft and not comfortable. Great that the rooms had coffee facilities and an amenity kit, this was a nice touch. Breakfast was great. However, tables were limited at peak times meaning you had to wait and there is no evident queuing system at the buffet style area, just a free for all, with everyone pushing and getting in each others ways. The staff, however, were all friendly and helpful. For a 4 star hotel it lacks the finer touches in the rooms, but is good for location and okay for a few nights.

Lovely staff , we arrived early and there was toilets and luggage room available. Breakfast plentiful and good variety. Tea/ coffee in rooms . Loved the deal that if you didn’t need housekeeping you receive a free gift / discount off bar . Quiet and comfortable beds, shower brilliant. Our room was a tad small but that was our fault but book a bigger one if you are staying longer than 3 nights . Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!

Fabulous Stay! Absalon hotel was 5/5 for this stay! The location is fabulous- right by the central station and a short walk to Tivoli. We arrived 2 hours earlier than the check in time but our room was ready so we could check in straight away. The rooms are well designed and the hotel offers a “Green scheme” where for every day you don’t get your room cleaned you can choose a gift- 100 DKK hotel bar voucher, 50% bike hire or a travel shampoo. The breakfast is nice and there is enough for everyone to be able to eat something, was particularly impressed with the vegan options as someone who is lactose free. The bar is lovely and fairly reasonable with a glass of Prosecco at 60DKK (about £7). The whole hotel is decorated very nicely and is very clean. Fabulous- would recommend!

Excellent experience. The hotel is quite new and perfectly located, in the center of the city, close to all means of transport. Personnel is very smiley, professional and available to any request. The possibility to choose the "green option" has been very appreciated. The breakfast was delicious, with a large variety of food and drinks that satisfy all tastes. The bar is furnished and with regular prices. If we should go back to Copenaghen we would choose it again.
