Very good hotel for a city break.
A very comfortable hotel, well located for exploring the city. Very close to the main train station, Tivoli Gardens etc. Room was very clean with tea/coffee making facilities and decent toiletries. The bar had a good atmosphere in the evening. 2 glasses of wine for around £10 isn't bad. I was happy with the breakfast - cereal, yoghurt, cold meats, nice breads and pastries. Limited hot food.

Absalon Hotel exceeded our expectations with genuine hospitality and solid quality – a well-run, classic hotel in the heart of Copenhagen. The overall offering is great, with thoughtful initiatives that also encourage more sustainable choices. For example, if you skip room cleaning, you can choose a discount at the bar or on a bicycle rental. Breakfast was excellent – relaxed, generous and without the usual morning rush. A great stay!

Un buon albergo tradizionale a Copenaghen
Un bell'albergo in stile classico, confortevole e in una buonissima posizione. Una bella sala colazioni con divanetti e tavoli anche per grandi gruppi, ricca di proposte dolci e salate. Nota di merito a Francesco in reception, supergentile e disponibile, ci ha indicato locali per mangiare e cose da vedere. Nel complesso davvero un buon hotel ci ritornerei senz'altro.

Lovely hotel in great location
Lovely hotel with very helpful staff. Brilliantly located just a short walk from the metro, train station and Tivoli. Breakfast had a limited selection, but was enough for us. Pillows are a weird square shape, we asked for extra pillows and slept much better with 2.

Perfect Stay in Copenhagen
This charming hotel is a gem and I strongly recommend it. First, the hotel is well located, very near the Copenhagen City Central train station. This makes it very convenient to travel to and from the Copenhagen airport. The rooms are cute, brightly-colored, modern, and comfortable. Moreover. the room was immaculate and very clean. There was little noise and the value of the hotel was great considering you get a buffet every morning with a variety of breakfast foods -- croissants, cereal, meat, cheese, yogurt, jam, etc. The staff was friendly and check in was a breeze. I will absolutely stay there again on my next trip to Copenhagen.

Great Hotel
What a fabulous place to stay. 2 min walk to the train station station and very close to Tivoli Gardens. The Green concept is a great idea. We chose not to have our room cleaned on 4 out of 6 days and received a bar voucher. Breakfast was good. Good variety of choice from croissants to cereal to eggs, something for everyone. Staff are so lovely and friendly. Would definitely stay here again

Fantastic Stay
Absalon Hotel is in a great location, a few minutes walk from Copenhagen Central Station, the Metro and Tivoli Gardens. It has a friendly atmosphere, the staff are all so kind and helpful. We stayed in one of the Absalon Rooms which was just right for us as a couple; it was very clean and we liked the Green Concept. We could also 'skip' cleaning in exchange for a gift. We found it very comfortable as well as nice and quiet. Breakfast offered a good selection, including dairy and gluten free options. Great value for money.

Returning to Copenhagen after 47 years absence and not disappointed
Very clean hotel located a few minutes walk from Tivoli Gardens in the City Centre. Friendly family hotel with excellent and very helpful staff, spent two days there post cruising the Northern Baltic Countries. Good pre book in and post book in luggage storage routine with key card system that is controlled by reception. This provides confidence against any theft. Breakfast runs from 06:30 to 10:00 through Monday - Friday and 6:30 to 11:00 Saturday and Sunday allowing lots of options. The breakfast was first class and ample to sustain a great start to the day. Variety of rolls, cold meats, cheeses and salad vegetables. Plenty of cereal choices, yoghurts, fresh fruits and melon. Danish pastries, fresh and hot, lots of different breads. Pancakes, sausages, bacon, scrambled and boiled eggs. Plenty to see and do on foot, or hop on hop off bus and water taxi. Eating out is very reasonable and plenty of choice. Prices are in Danish Kroner and roughly 9 Dkr to the Pound. Highlight was the light show in Tivoli Gardens and revisited the house where I worked in 1997 - 1999.

Perfect location and great rooms!
Location: Outstanding This hotel was perfectly located adjacent to the central station and walkable to everything you’d want to visit on a quick break to Copenhagen. Atmosphere: Good The atmosphere created in the common areas was good, the bar was a little lacklustre but not too much to complain. Rooms: Great The room was a decent size with an okay view, great amenities to be discussed. Cleanliness: Great Everything was kept clean in the rooms as well as in common areas, with staff walking round tidying up as they go. Noise: Not great In my room I could not only hear the room next door but all of their conversations and footsteps, as well as being able to hear people on occasion from the hallway. Further, due to its great location the hotel is on a busy and loud road which is able to be heard from the rooms quite distinctly throughout both day and night. Amenities: Outstanding Amenities included: En-suite bathroom (with a lock on the door, which is not standard in many European hotels), high quality wifi (usable throughout the entire building), in room mini fridge, kettle, coffee and tea sachets, tv, soaps and cotton buds. All good quality all underrated features to a hotel room! However, the breakfast was restocked slowly often going up to find no plates or certain types of foods. Definitely worth the money!

Excellent hotel in Copenhagen!
This is an excellent hotel! We got upgraded to a suite - the "best room in the hotel" per the front staff. It was superb! The room itself was awesome and we had a great experience with the entire hotel. Breakfast was great! Staff was super helpful as they recommended dinner for us each night and every one was exactly what we wanted. Perfect hotel location for a first time visit to Copenhagen for sightseeing. Highly recommend!

A Copenhagen star!
My friend and I recently went to Copenhagen for a few days. On arriving from the station, the hotel was easy to find. We were made to feel so welcome and our room was super. Breakfast was delicious again all the staff were kind and helpful. The hotel was clean with little noise. I can't recommend it more highly.

Great hotel for visiting Copenhagen
Absalon Hotel is conveniently next to the train station. The room are spacious with air conditioning, wifi, and refrigerator. Rooms are very clean. Staff is extremely nice. They were great help with dining recommendations and hailing a taxi. Breakfast was complimentary that offered a large selection of food including vegan Smørrebrød with vegan cheese and vegan deli slices. Our room faced the courtyard. It had no noise from other guests or anything outside. We recommend staying at this hotel.
Family room
We had a great stay here during our week in Copenhagen. The hotel is central by the train station. But manages to be quiet and not too noisy. The courtyard was nice for a drink and some snacks. We were in a family room and space was ok. We managed. The shower was a bit wayward and unless you were careful it soaked the bathroom. There was an air con unit which we had running through the nights to keep the room a good sleeping temperature. The reception team were always really helpful and we were allowed to check in a bit early and out a bit late which made our stay even easier. Breakfast can be manic, don’t go at peak time, but do go downstairs and use the second self service area there for a quieter experience. There is a coffee pot on each table. The coffee is ok, I didn’t ask for a latte so not sure if they do. They do have teapots and tea bags for those that like tea.

Robbed in Reception
Central location and good clean room. Being robbed in reception however spoilt our Copenhagen break. As we booking in at reception a man stole my wallet from my bag. The thief was clearly caught on the hotels CCTV taking my wallet and going into the hotel bar. The staff said it was nothing to do with them. I was joined by another hotel quest who said her husband had had his wallet stolen between the station and the hotel. I was told that in Denmark it was the victim who had to report a crime to the police. (Zero murders then!) Eventual the hotel manager agreed to send the video to the police and assured me he would report the crime. On checking out I was assured that they would contact me about matter. Four months have now passed without a word. So much for duty of care.

The rudest check-in ever - unacceptable!
The hotel as such is OK, but we got a check-in that was - by far - the worst we’ve ever had. A gum chewing snotty young girl approached us in a way that was totally unacceptable: hugely rude, very unkind and below any basic standards. We’ve travelled around the world but literally never experienced this kind of rude behaviour anywhere. Very disappointing! Our advice: find yourself another hotel, with decent staff at reception.

Decent hotel in convenient location
We chose the Absalon for its air conditioning (in the superior rooms) and proximity to the central train station and nice restaurants. We were glad for the AC as it was in the low 80’s at the end of July. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast very good, and the staff very helpful. They helped us with the public transportation app and got us a very nice cabbie when we were headed to the cruise terminal. The lighting in the bathroom could have been better and the cleanliness in the elevators should be addressed. There’s a lovely bar with comfortable indoor seating plus an outdoor courtyard with seating. All in all, a nice place to stay. Definitely make reservations for the restaurants you want to go to.
