We booked this company over a month in advance for an interstate move to the Blue Mountains. We were quoted for 20m³, which aligned with an independent online calculator that estimated 19m³. On the day, the two removalists told my partner we had approximately 35m³ and could not proceed without us agreeing to pay $120 + GST per additional cubic metre, an extra ~$2,000 on top of our original quote. Under pressure, we chose to cancel rather than agree to what felt like an unreasonable demand, forfeiting our $500 deposit in the process.
We then booked an alternative removalist, who confirmed our load was approximately 21–22m³, including additional items we hadn't originally planned to take. They were shocked that a professional removalist had estimated 35m³.
We presented A1 with photos and videos of our belongings loaded into the second van as evidence of the gross overestimation. They dismissed our complaint and refused to refund the deposit.
The removalists on the day also appeared to be unaware they were travelling to the Blue Mountains, which was concerning.
A stressful and disappointing experience. We feel we were either misled or subjected to a pressure tactic on moving day.

My move was arranged by Sam and MIchael. They were efficient, friendly and helpful throughout and made a point of contacting me ~30 minutes before pickup and drop off.
Very happy with the service I received and would use them again/refer them to others.

I did an interstate move, David and Sam were azingly quick, within 40 minutes my things were on level 7 from the truck.

Ricky and his team we prompt, friendly and efficient with their work. They were careful with our belongings and worked hard throughout the day. On arrival at our home, Ricky was able to determine that not all our gear would fit into the supplied trucks and suggested I rent a van for the day. He was right: it was needed, and having the it allowed us to complete the move on the day. Recommended.
