Friendly staff, nice service, however you can find that most places... especially for the price.
My main problem was with the clinics' inability to know what services were covered by insurance and which were not. Essentially, I initiated care to get a crown, which I paid out of pocket for (~$1400). No problem. That said, I was told that they require an intake appointment - e.g., X-rays, initial exam, but that'd be covered by insurance and wouldn't be an additional expense. 6 months later, I am given a bill for $100 for X-rays which weren't covered. I was also given the standard "I thought it would be covered" excuse. When you pay $1400 out of pocket to receive care at a nicer dental office, you expect folks to know what is covered and what is not. My qualm is not the cost, it is the fact that I was assured there was not a cost, then a bill arrives on the backend bill 6 month later. Further, with $1400 out of pocket having been paid, not to mention my recurring business and the resulting fees from the insurance the dental office did collect, the dental office should have eaten the $100 fee. It was their mistake. I find that to be wholly unprofessional, sloppy, and something that wouldn't fly in any other domain of business.
