I met with lawyer Rosen today for a workers’ compensation case, and I was shocked at how dismissive and unhelpful he was. He wouldn’t answer any of my questions, his response to everything was “I don’t know” or “I can’t answer that.” When I asked for basic guidance about what to expect or how to handle my financial situation since I’ve been out of work for a month due to an injury I sustained on the job, he completely brushed me off and said, “We’re not the right fit for you,” then walked me out.
For someone coming in with their first workers’ comp case, the least he could’ve done was explain the process or show a bit of compassion. Instead, he was rude, impatient, and made me feel like I was wasting his time. I would absolutely not recommend Mr. Rosen to anyone. You’re better off representing yourself, at least that way you know someone’s actually fighting for you.

We never like to get a bad review, and it is disheartening to get one after a free consultation. As an attorney it is my obligation to explain to you what your rights are, and what you would be entitled to based on your injuries. It is more important that I tell you what NYS Workers' Compensation would cover as opposed to telling you what you want to hear. While you may not have liked my answers to your questions they were the correct answers under the law, and I would rather you left my office unhappy with what the system provides as opposed to being misinformed. You were asking me who would pay for certain bills that you would incur in your life that you that you were concerned you would have trouble meeting. Some of these were things that the NYS WC law does not provide for or cover. There is nothing our firm can do to change how the law is written. Based on our free consultation I realized that we would not be able to provide results that you were hoping for, which is why we passed on taking you on as a client.
