Top marks, thanks Will and Surveyline *****
Great experience with surveyor Will.Exc work. Hands down the best a communication both by email with Elliot and in person with their surveyor. Their surveyor Will was extremely thorough, took time checkjng every corner of the property, taking extensive notes. RICS Level 3 survey focused is the on key issues that needed investigating and investing on a 1600s property. The report was generated swiftly and again he was knowledgeable and courteous on a call to clarify the report. Recommended through and through, a breath of fresh air on a industry filled in with unskilled trades.
Excellent work. Hands down the best a communication both by email and in person. Their surveyor Will was extremely thorough in their RICS Level three survey generating a useful report that helped us focus on key issues while investing buying a victorian property. He was attentive, knowledgeable and efficient, can't really ask for more. The report was generated swiftly and again he was knowledgeable and courteous on a call to clarify the report. Recommended through and through, a breath of fresh air on a industry filled in with cowboys.
Me and my partner used Surveyline to undertake a Level 3 survey on a 1930s house we were looking to buy. The survey was booked for the next day and we received the report 8 business days later.
The survey itself contained a very large amount of detail, which was great. We also had a chat with the surveyor over the phone to explain some details, keep in mind though that they will not really say much more than what is on the survey already, like for example they would not clarify whether the issues found on the property are typical for a home like that.
Surveyline even sent us the original photos of the survey, so that we have a higher quality version of them.
All in all I would recommend them.
Terrible experience with SurveyLine. I paid £840 for a survey that was full of serious errors and completely unprofessional. The report referenced a loft conversion that didn’t exist and described a significant sloping floor throughout the property only for them to later claim this was a “typo.” That kind of mistake is unacceptable in a professional survey.
Even after I raised concerns, the report was reissued twice but still contained contradictions and inaccuracies. When I asked for clarification, I received nothing but ‘copy and paste’ responses that failed to address my questions. There was no accountability, no genuine explanation, and no concern for the stress and confusion they caused.
Because I couldn’t rely on the report, I lost confidence in the entire purchase and ultimately lost the house. The process has caused me enormous stress, anxiety, wasted time, and financial loss.
Avoid this company if you want a survey you can actually trust. Absolutely not the professional service they promise.
100 percent recommend
This is the most comprehensive and detailed level 3 building survey I have ever had. Elliot and James have been an absolute pleasure and kept me informed throughout the process. I followed up with a phone call to James who was happy to answer any questions. I will certainly use them again in the future.

I was recommended Surveyline on the home we're hoping to buy by my solicitor and I can understand exactly why - they were fantastic to deal with from start to finish!
Their report was well detailed with helpful explanations, reasoning, photographs, and recommendations. They also recommend other professionals in several areas where we may need assistance in the event we are able to complete on the house.
I would highly recommend them and would use them again in the future!
We used Surveyline to undertake a RICS Level 3 Building Survey on a house we're trying to buy. I had seen good reviews online and they have fully lived up to this good reputation.
They provided a competitive quote and also answered questions about the survey and what would be included promptly. They arranged the survey in good time via our agent and reported back the following week as promised. Their report is well detailed with helpful explanations, reasoning, photographs and recommendations. They were also able to recommend other professionals in a number of areas where needed.
Compared to other surveyor's I've experienced and the remarks/reports I've seen from them, Surveyline are superb. I would highly recommend them and would use them again.
Very helpful and great service on RICS Level 3 Building Survey

We requested a L3 home survey from Surveyline. The appointment was booked quickly and report provided about a week after. The report was really detailed (approx 70 pages). It highlighted issues we were unaware of and allowed us to Renegotiate the sale price. James from Surveyline even went back free of charge to take damp readings of an area we had a concern with as he was unable to do this on the initial visits due to sellers furniture in the way. We would recommend surveyline
Firm was recommended to me by Robinson Jackson who handled the sale of my local property, & I requested a full survey on a detached property in Ashford on 5th April. Due to a full diary, I had to wait approx 3 weeks for the survey to take place once instructed. The report took until 17th April to arrive by email, which was overly long (85 pages), repetitive, highlighted just about everything as red or amber, & contained many unlabelled photos. I had to contact James several times asking for clarification on points highlighted as urgent, ie stagnant water in drains, but the response always seemed to be that he wasn't an expert in drains, asbestos, etc and to engage a 'specialist'. I also asked for an index of the many unlabelled photos in the report, as it was hard to distinguish what related to the text (one wall, guttering or window looks like another), and received a Dropbox of 150+ photos, still unlabelled. A hard copy was originally requested, but it wasn't until 29th April that it was received, after chasing several times. I do think the survey was expensive, slow, overly long, repetitive, and gave the impression the proposed house was a moneypit, despite it being only 25 years old. I would not recommend using this firm.
