This is my first omakase and food were good… and fortunately only 2 of us in the dining room which make us felt like dining in a private room. Will visit again soon. Thanks for the amazing food!

My first visit to Migakishow Issen was truly unforgettable. The 7-course Wagyu omakase lunch, crafted with premium, fresh ingredients flown in directly from Japan, offered a remarkable exploration of Japanese cuisine. The Hida Shichiri beef are produce from the cattle that are raised in Japan Gifu Prefecture know for its serene hot springs and untouch natural beauty with free stress and immence care of the cattles resulting in its rich fat and linggering umami flavour creates an unforgetable taste to savour. Each dish presented struck a perfect balance of textures, from the melt-in-your-mouth Hida Shichiri Wagyu to the unique seasonal ingredients, like the Junsai plant with its jelly-like exterior, which sparked my curiosity and deepened my appreciation for unfamiliar flavors. The meticulous attention to detail in every course revealed the true artistry and sophistication of Japanese culinary traditions. This experience introduced me to a level of taste and quality I’d never encountered before, leaving me eagerly anticipating my next visit.

Omakase on a Sunday night is a different kind of treat. I brought my two friends to Issen. The experience started at the doorway, where our server was waiting. When the noren was parted we walked walked through a short tunnel opening up to seats at the counter.
The restaurant had contacted us a few days earlier about dietary restrictions and to ask if any in our party were not comfortable with eating raw beef. Our courses had been prepared accordingly for my friends who were not used to raw dishes- they seared the beef or gave a different dish.
Since part of the joy of omakase is the discovery of new ingredients and flavours and the joy of how each creation is presented, I will not deprive anyone of this surprise by describing each dish. I will just echo the opinion that the beef katsu sando is to die for. The portions of 4 of the courses were larger than those at other omakase restaurants I have tried. There is no need to be apprehensive about the raw beef courses because they were delicious and did not taste "raw".
What I can say is the ambiance is pleasing and the artistry of the chef elevated the dining experience. Chef Fukuichiro Koga was happy to answer my questions about the unique vegetables he used. The servers were also knowledgeable. The restaurant was quiet and for us it was a meal of catching up and discovery.
If I were to be asked what else I would ask for in an already stellar experience, it is for there to be more choices of tea, for example a leaf tea such as a hojicha. This would go well with the smokiness of the beef or perhaps a lighter option such as sencha instead of the standard powdered green tea which I got.
There was a follow-up WhatsApp message as well as offers for future lunch sets- much appreciated!

If you are up to the game to pay for premium A5 wagyu beef and be prepared to break your bank, this is the place to go. A muslim friendly wagyu omakase (chef choice, chef select, chef serve) style from Gifu prefecture that breeds the Hida Sirichi cows. The meat is superb and unforgettable. Chef Fukuechi from Japan personaly showed his skills and serve from the counter. Outlet manager is highly trained and knows his stuffs on all the dish served. Ambiance is quiet and nice decor. Will be back for more when menu change with the season! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had the pleasure of experiencing the Regular Course Package as a birthday treat, and it was absolutely unforgettable. The menu was a masterful blend of land and sea—highlighting not just the tender, melt-in-your-mouth wagyu beef, but also an exquisite array of seafood. It was my first time trying sea urchin and firefly squid—both incredibly rare to find in Malaysia—and I was genuinely blown away.
The cherry on top? A surprise birthday dessert and cake arranged by the chef and team—beautifully presented and incredibly thoughtful.
I left with a full heart, a happy palate, and memories I’ll be savoring for a long time.

I absolutely adore this hidden gem in TTDI. Though very unassuming, you'll be greeted with a warm atmosphere and great service. Chef Nagayama is a silent, but friendly master at work and he cooked the wagyu beef to perfection.
I really love how it's also halal for my muslim homies to enjoy. I personally enjoyed the Charcoal grilled steak from the omakase and wagyu hamburg from their lunch set menu. If you're short on time, the lunch menu is really good with rice and soup and a generous serving of meats and veges on the side!

I don’t usually write restaurant reviews, but this one deserves every bit of praise. We went for the 7-dish course at Issen Omakase, and let me tell you—it was so damn good. From the moment we stepped in, everything was top-notch.
Every dish was an experience, perfectly balanced in flavor, texture, and presentation. The freshness of the ingredients? Insane. The attention to detail? Immaculate. Highly recommended. Food and beverage is so good. Especially the curry wagyu rice. Not that spicy but the taste are sooooo damm good. Wont forget and wont regret. 10 out of 10. Must try!!!
