Just returned from a third trip with Women and Waves. I can’t recommend them enough and I’m already looking forward to joining another trip! The international trips are all beautifully curated – really high standards of surf coaching focused on progression, stunning locations and a supportive, fun and safe environment for all levels of learning with like-minded women. It also makes a real difference that there are always crew members with local knowledge (not just of the surf breaks, but also of the culture/language/non-surfing activities available). Genuinely so much fun and such a special experience.

Just back from Bali with Women +Waves… what to say?!?! Surfing has improved massively (from barely being able to trim to cruising on a single fin in 4ft waves…), meeting manta rays (bucket list tick), swimming in a real life tropical fish tank and spending time with the most amazing group of people. The team are excellent - great local knowledge, incredible coaching and they create the best environment you could wish for. Everyone on the trip was so supportive, fun and embracing. I left London 10 days ago a bit down on life and have returned tired and salty with a full heart 🥰… I might even be brave enough to call myself a surfer now… 🏄‍♀️🌊

Amazing surfing trip to Nusa Lembongan Another amazing surf trip to Nusa Lembongan, Bali. This was my second trip with W+W to Bali and I loved all about it. The people I met that are now friends, the amazing surfing in warm crystal clear water, the surf instructors and the whole W+W team. Nusa Lembongan is a fantastic little island with great food and lots to see and do. I will be back! 🏄🏽‍♀️🤙🏼❤️

Return trip just as good, if not better! The hosts do everything within their power to make your experience epic! My surfing has improved, and I have the tools to go and build on. Such a lovely group! And idyllic surroundings and conditions. Could not recommend it more for surfers wanting to improve!

I’ve been on surf trips before but the Bali Surf retreat was something else! Extremely well organized, the staff is fantastic and the surf progression we all had was amazing. No matter age or prior surf experience, this is the trip if you want to go from curious about surfing to loving surfing!🏄🏽‍♀️

Just spent two wonderful days on the Newquay Progressors weekend and cannot recommend enough! Rachel, Amy & Cat were warm, supportive and so helpful. Video analysis element was so insightful, learned a huge amount and will definitely be back!

Five stars isn’t enough, ten or twenty would barely make it. The trips are meticulously planned, and executed. With an emphasis on fun and learning. Speaking of learning, the instructors deserve five stars of their own. They are patient, knowledgeable, professional and so kind. Everyone from absolute beginners to more advanced, learned and thrives in a very encouraging safe environment. Hatty and Chelsea get another five stars each! (You might think I am handing out stars like a Pez Dispenser, but i truly mean it) Both were kind and encouraging and super knowledgeable and supportive. I would follow those two anywhere in the world knowing that I am in safe hands. If you have ever thought, “I wish I knew how to surf” , take the plunge and sign up for a surf camp. You won’t regret it.

Surfing in paradise Costa Rica was my third international trip with W+W and I can’t recommend them highly enough. The team is fantastic and are so focussed on making sure we all have a great experience, from the accomodation, coaching, video analysis and even recommending the best places to eat :) The local surf coaches are amazing too, we had one coach for two people and so really felt looked after. Every trip has been amazing groups of mostly solo travellers, all such cool women who are now my global surf girl gang!

This trip was worth every dime! One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The women I met on the trip were fabulous and it was amazing to be in such a supportive, loving atmosphere (and in a magical place!) The leaders Chelsea and Hatty made the trip seamless. They are truly wonderful, beautiful humans. I was nervous about how the surfing would go because I hadn’t surfed since before my son was born (2.5 years ago) but the coaching was top notch. I improved significantly and there’s no way I could’ve done that without this group. Will book again. 110% recommend.

I attended Women and Waves Costa Rica surf camp destination and it was spectacular! The landscape and nature in Costa Rica s to die for. The accommodation was exceptional. The Women and Waves team looked after us and supported us throughout, from surfing, to itinerary and communicating travel plans etc. I had the best time ever! I also got to meet like minded women from across the globe and make lasting friendships and connections. I can't recommend it highly enough. Aside from the experience I also achieved my surfing goals and learnt a lot that I can take away and build on. The knowledge and tips I have been given are invaluable and we had a very special surf/ trip leader Chelsea :). Thank you Women and Waves. I hope to see you all as soon as I can.

I’ve just got back from an amazing weekend in Newquay with Women + Waves! And I can’t recommend them enough all the instructors were friendly, approachable and full of awesome surf knowledge! By the end of the weekend I felt like part of the team and am amazed with how much my confidence grew! My groups instructor and photographer, Lily and Clare were so inspiring and down to earth and really kept the weekend chilled yet overall development and achievement of the group high! Already got my sister interested so will be booking again soon! Everything this company is about is awesome and completely worth getting involved in.

I had an amazing time at the Newquay Progressor Weekend! Cat and Kitty were incredible coaches — true cheerleaders who supported us both in the water and during the video analysis sessions. I really appreciated their professional and encouraging way of giving feedback. They corrected mistakes without ever making me feel intimidated or embarrassed about my kooky moments 😄 I also want to give a special shoutout to Kitty, who is just the loveliest person and also fluent in German. Whenever something was too complicated for me to explain in English, she kindly switched languages and made everything easy to understand. I traveled alone from Vienna and immediately felt safe and welcomed in our small group. One of the highlights was also the pizza evening, where Rachel joined us and shared so many interesting insights about Women & Waves and surfing in general. Next time, I’d love to stay longer — and maybe even join one of the international trips. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

I am just back from my first (and certainly not my last) Women and Waves Beginner Surf weekend and am still reeling from how joyful, inclusive and fun it was. The instructors (Kitty and Cat) were exceptional - so knowledgeable and supportive, and never without a smile and a whoop! I learned so much, from the practical sessions, but also the classroom feedback which really helped to hone by skills and knowledge. Whether you've never picked up a surfboard in your life or would like to hone your skills I can guarantee you'll leave this weekend knowing surfing is now an integral part of your life! Thanks to Rachel and all the team for creating such a safe space for women to thrive. I'll most certainly be back.

The Newquay weekend was a perfect level to boost my confidence and help me progress. The team were so friendly, Cat and Kitty were incredible coaches who helped us feel safe and confident, and helped show us where to improve. The weekend has made me love surfing even more and given me the tools I need to continue to improve. I'll definitely be back! Both in the UK and hopefully some of their trips further away- if they’re anything like the weekend I just had they’ll be absolutely incredible!

I've just come back from my second Women + Waves weekend in Newquay and it was even better than the first. The progress I made because of Kitty, Cat and Hattie's coaching back in September was super apparent in the water this weekend and I was able to make even more progress this time with Kitty and Elana. It was lovely to meet new faces this weekend but I also got to catch up with friends that I'd met at the November weekend and see how much we'd all improved! If you're thinking about booking a Women + Waves weekend or trip or anything at all - don’t hesitate and just do it! I'll definitely be booking another trip v soon!

What a great weekend learning to surf in Cornwall. Despite the outside temperature, the water was warm and you are provided with all the kit, booties, hood, gloves and winter wetsuit. Instructors are friendly, inclusive and meet you where you are at. Defiantly a great place for beginners to learn to surf.
