Switched to WombatNET after a LONG time with the big telcos and the difference was noticeable pretty much straight away. Setup was seamless and the support has been (though not really needed) has been GENUINELY helpful, with actual conversations rather than the typical scripted replies.
They clearly know the area and the kinds of issues that come with rural parts of Wellington well, which made a big difference. I didn’t have to explain things over and over or convince someone that a problem was real. I didn’t have to BEG for a solution.
Response times have been quick, things get followed up properly, and you’re dealing with the same person rather than a call centre and waiting on hold. It’s been far, far less stressful than what I’m used to. I also saved a fair bit compared to my old 4g provider.
It’s also good knowing my money is staying local and supporting a business that’s clearly invested in doing things properly, and seems to treat it’s customers less like a number and kind of more like a neighbour. Thanks guys!

Just got Mr Wombat to install my internet. As well as that he reset my tv and security cameras. Can’t see any other provider going that far to keep the customer happy

10/10 service when our starlink failed and both me and my wife work from home rurally Wombat was at our house within 30mins of a phone call and had both businesses up and running. Couldn’t recommend this company anymore, amazing service :)

The service and the reception is great, no problems there, but the connection fee was alot higher than what we expected. The advertising on the web site is a bit deceptive and if I had known the real cost before hand I probably would not have signed up. Anyway we are connected now and no complaints about the reception.

I understand the install fee felt higher than expected - the $319 figure on our website refers to a simple indoor modem, while your property required an outdoor modem and cabling along with an seperate Wi-Fi Access Point to deliver strong coverage throughout your home. Our 4G+ and 5G services are also the most expensive to set up compared to our Wireless X or Fibre plans, which have lower upfront costs. Been with Wombat a few years now, after trying other internet suppliers who failed to give broadband speeds and were more expensive. Reliable service, good speeds capable for streaming online movies and unlimited data we now have fibre laid but I am not inclined to change as my Wombat is good enough and at present cheaper.
We were getting a connection to fiber organized through chorus and Alex went above and beyond to help us sort everything out. He made what was turning into a stressful experience much easier. On top of that, he was always available to answer any questions that we had.
Over all. Brilliant customer service. I would recommend wombat net to anyone that was looking for a good, reliable internet provider.

I contacted Alex looking for a reliable and fast broadband service that my previous ISP didn't seem to want to offer me. Alex visited and we discussed the best solution. Having agreed to go ahead Alex was back a few days later to complete the installation. No fuss, no bother, just good honest kiwi service. I am pleased to be supporting a local entrepreneur.

Alex designed just the solution for our complicated environment. His customer service has been above and beyond. Including helping me get all my devices working perfectly. Thanks WombatNET for allowing me to stream on a big screen at last, and all for the price of the big boys who provide far less service and very limited data.
