I chose Wollaton Driveways to install a resin aggregate driveway. Frank came across as very knowledgeable. We signed a contract, he started the prep work. When it came to the final stage (resin / aggregate) he told us he was using another company. Nothing had been mentioned to us at any stage prior to this that he would subcontract the work & if he had we would have declined to use him. We had concerns around the work as it was still very soft 4 days after laying the resin. Frank was insistent it was normal & he pushed hard to be paid in full & he wasn't going to leave us high and dry if there was a problem. 5 months later the drive started to fall apart. The whole thing will need taking up & reinstalling at great expense. Frank admitted it had not been laid properly & promised to fix it. He then started to avoid messages / calls. More concerningly he started to do things to swerve his contractual obligation (I won't go into those as my lawyer has advised against it). His 10 year warranty is a lie designed to mislead customers into trusting that he is reputable. I gave him 12months to sort this issue. I am now having to pursue him legally. Let this serve as a warning to others. We are £20k out of pocket. Frank has ghosted us. Yet he continues to take money off other unsuspecting customers & getting them to write him positive reviews. A tradesman said it was the worst drive installation he has ever seen. A National Grid cable was also disrupted which resulted in them wanting to pursue Frank as they believed he was at fault.
