Given false information Things have gone from bad to worse with Wolf River electric. I started the process with them in August. They insisted I needed to get financing for them to access my garage. They told me there was absolutely no financial risk of the project didn't go through. After months of inconsistent/conflicting answers, they told me that they had major concerns about my garage. (Other solar companies have recommended a new roof but that my garage is structurally sound.) So I asked WR to cancel the project. Now I'm being told that I'm on the hook for closing costs of almost $1200. Sure, I'll take responsibility that I didn't see that I'm the contract but WR told me several times there was no financial risk of cancelling. Trying to work with customer service to resolve this situation has also been a nightmare. They are not taking responsibility for any of this. Will update if any sort of resolution is offered.

We had great experience with Wolf River Electric for our solar installation. The salesperson and project manager were very responsive on time as the project was moving forward so now our solar project is up and running. The only drawback with my solar system is that I don't see the consumption of power from solar system and electric company on Enphase App. I can see how much my solar systems is generating the power but I cannot see how much I am consuming from it and how much I am selling back to electric company. During initial phase of the project when I was interacting with a sales person, he send me some pictures and documents of the solar system saying that this is how my solar system would look like and warranties about the components, but after they finished the project I was wondering that why I am not able to see the consumption report on App so I called them and they said that I need to install consumption CTs devise in order to get the report for extra charges on it. I thought that it should be the part of the solar project than why pay extra to get the consumption report. So please ask them what would be included in your solar project so that you don't have to pay extra charges later on.

Started my "solar process" in the summer of 2025. Got my system installed in November of 2025 and had it turned on in about a month. Have been impressed with everything Wolf River has done, since I was not an expert on it and now, I feel super relieved I did this. Tax rebate in hand too! Love the lack of electricity bill now. I would HIGHLY recommend Wolf River. From their original call to the hook up and the follow up, they have been professional and excellent to deal with! Work with them, you won't regret it!

Had a phone consultation around August of 2025. The panels were installed and I was up and running by end of December. Process was easy. I’m guessing they were busier than usual towards the end of the year as the tax credits were expiring otherwise I’m sure the project would’ve been completed sooner. 3 months and change with solar panels and everything works great.

Overall the experience was good. We got our solar panels installed, they work, and we look forward to saving money in the long run. As sometimes happens with working with contractors and subcontractors we did have some communication issues. I know it was the end of the year, winter, and all the holidays added to the stress but I feel like they could have been more communicative as a company.

Just had my solar service with Wolf River Electric and turned on last month. Their customer service is terrific. I had a proposal a year or so ago, but had to have my roof replaced first. They followed up with me, sent a new, improved proposal and we are signed up! The solar will be sufficient to supply my entire house, including the EV charger in the garage! They even handled the financing and the lender gave me an incredible rate. The monthly cost is just about what I am currently paying of electric service, locked in forever. Very excited to "go solar." April 7, 2026 Update. It has been a year since my solar was installed by Wolf River Electric and it has been terrific. The entire summer and fall I barely had an electric bill and, most months, I was over producing. The one downside is that the slope of my roof is not that steep, so I had snow cover the panels for part of the winter until I could get up there and clear them off. That was a "lesson learned" and I know I have to be more attentive to snow build up. It has been a terrific investment.

I mean where do I start…? This company has been nothing but good to me and put me onto something that truly is life-changing. Yes I’m talking about solar. I now have the ability to be in control of my electricity and never go back to leaning on the power companies shoulder ever again. I have always considered myself to be a bit of a Lone Wolf. I think it comes from my family being within the trades and a certain level of self reliance. That being said when I joined the wolf pack I found myself surrounded by experts who took my own lone wolf tendencies and elevated them to help make my project a complete success. Pros: Wolf rivers install was amazing, I ran into no code related issues or problems with the various reviews required for the project. All the permitting and paperwork was handled expertly and we finished the project in a timely manner. The Majority of the staff I worked with knew their stuff, and was constantly working for the completion of the project. The delivery crew in particular knocked it out of the park, being friendly, and working with us when we were dealing with a few other ongoing issues at the time. Additionally I want to call out the installers, as they were progressing were happy to update me each time I asked where the next steps were. Cons: I had a long delay in my project due to considerations from a third party, it would have been nice to have more regular contact during the delays to ensure the project was still progressing. During the date of the initial install half of the install crew did not make it to my job, and that delayed the completion of the work by some additional weeks. Conclusion: I would work with Wolf River again in the future, the project was completed successfully and I am a satisfied customer, issues and problems arise during all projects but a little more transparency when they occur would be welcome in the future. I for one am happy that I am no longer running alone as a Lone Wolf and have joined the Wolf Pack with Wolf River.

As a follow-up to our earlier review for Wolf River Electric, our installation was completed in December (the timeline was delayed during the review process with Xcel), and our panels are now online. Working with our project manager, Mark, was a very positive experience. He was communicative, professional, and kept us informed throughout the process. The installation crew was respectful of both our property and our time, which we truly appreciated. Overall, we are extremely pleased with the communication and responsiveness of the Wolf River Electric team. We would confidently recommend them to others considering solar installation.
