After suffering water damage in our already finished basement, we decided it was time to overhaul the basement. We estimated out the cost of work to be done then reached out to about ten or so different contractors in the area, including WISA. All of the estimates we received were in the range we determined ourselves, so we knew all of the estimates were competitive.
WISA was the only contractor that showed up with a team: not just one person, but a four person team, each with a distinct purpose for being there. Their estimate was one of the highest, but within our self determined range, and they included everything (a lot of the lower estimates included "plus materials" in their quotes). WISA had a showroom so we went to one location to pick out flooring, countertops, cabinets, etc, and it was all included in the estimate.
During the project we largely left the crew alone: everyone was polite and professional but they didn't need babysitting. Every time we checked on progress we were impressed with how much was accomplished in a short timespan. In fact, the project would've been completed ahead of schedule had we not talked to WISA and added several change orders throughout the project. Some were ideas of ours, some were ideas brought up by WISA, but the important thing is they never pressured us. If they saw something (like corrosion on our copper pipes), they brought it to our attention, gave us an idea of what the potential problem is, gave us an honest opinion of if it's worth addressing, and gave us an estimate for fixing if we chose to do so. Never once did we feel pressured to add a change order based on their observations.
A project this large is bound to have issues. How a company handles those issues makes the process a good or bad experience. WISA showed up with a team to provide our initial estimate, and we worked with a team throughout the design and build process, leaning on each team member's different expertise to address any issues that came up. We had a fantastic experience working with WISA.
Whenever we're ready to renovate again, WISA will be our first - and probably only - call.

WISA did a fantastic job renovating our basement bathroom. The quality of their work was top notch. They were very efficient, working 6 days a week for 3 weeks straight to ensure that the bathroom was ready for our family for the holidays. Their workers were all courteous and professional. They were easy to communicate with, immediately responding to emails and calls any time we had questions. On top of all that, their prices are unbeatable. We felt like we were getting great value for our money. Overall, they were a pleasure to work with.
We had WISA remodel our master bathroom and we could not be happier with the results! The work was done very efficiently and the amount of time it took to complete the project was exactly what they anticipated it would to finish everything. From start to finish, we were impressed with WISA's dedication to transforming our 1946 basement to a 2024 one!
Met with Daoud & Waris (father & son team) and they had positive ideas on how to renovate our dark basement into a bright living space. Plans drawn up by Faouzi showed 3D illustrations that got rid of the low-hanging air ducts--significantly increasing head room in the basement. The plans also added two closets and a pantry, which really increased storage space.
The WISA staff is very professional and even worked on Saturdays---and finished the project ahead of schedule.
Kelsey and Kate were the main office contacts and were very responsive to our emails during construction. The transformed basement is fantastic and exceeded our expectations!
We recently had WISA Solutions remodel two full bathrooms in our 60 year old house. This was our second home renovation project with WISA. They completely remodeled the entire lower level of our house last year which included a new full bathroom, a new living space, new flooring, and all new plumbing, electrical wiring and lighting. Ideal design-to-builder. With no ties to the area I was concerned to self identify and work with a truly turnkey builder of high quality and trust. Look no further, Daoud and his team at WISA are consummate professionals for your home improvement projects. I can't say enough nice things about my experience with having them within my home, and the results of our master bathroom and bedroom + new closet project.
His whole team of installers and staff, including Kate and Kelsey at the office as Designer and Project Lead, were on-top and on-time of everything throughout, also completing the project ahead of schedule. They perform everything with in-house staff, and their studio process to design and select finishes made our lives so easy, and got everything we could've wanted. As a client, I'm probably of the overbearing in-the-details type, but they were either ahead-of or attentive to everything throughout. All important, they work at a fair price and keep it simple and transparent on budget management. I bid this project to five contractors and selected WISA, although I knew from our first meeting I wanted to work with them. The only change orders seen were those I requested as add-ons in process.
Daoud, the owner, is involved and present everyday and available himself. The team of installers was consistent for the project duration, on-time, clean, and also just good guys that we built some rapport with. I just wish I had more resources to do all my wife and I's wish list projects at once to keep seeing these results.
From top to bottom, WISA employees are professional, caring, creative and oh so patient. In remodeling our basement to create a large library, bath and other amenities, WISA designed to perfection and employed master craftsmen, electricians, and plumbers in every phase of the project. We live in the Rosemont area of Alexandria in a tiny, old house. With a third baby on the way we quickly needed to get our basement finished for extra space. Wisa took our basement from something out of a horror movie and turned it into something straight from HGTV! All the staff were friendly, accommodating and prompt to respond to any questions. A little story about the workers that made me feel good about the character of the people they hire: one day during their break a baby squirrel wandered out of the ally towards them. The workers put the squirrel in the back of their truck and pet him, covered him with a little cloth and gave him water in a cap. I thought that was so sweet and endearing when they could have easily just ignored the animal. Made me feel at ease with who was in my house around my children. From start to finish working with WISA was a great experience! They finished ahead of schedule and did an amazing job! We are very happy customers and would definitely recommend them!

2. Excellent pricing and product selection: Waris and Daoud give excellent quotes on their work and make great suggestions on the best way to improve your project. They are honest and will let you know of any changes needed or if problems have been uncovered. Their suggestions for solutions are always helpful and reasonable. And the ability to go to their showroom to pick all your products is a huge benefit!
3. Quality workers: the guys all work for WISA. No subcontractors! Demo, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting and tiling is all done by WISA workers. And some of the crew are the same guys that worked on my home from 2013! They have a supervisor on site and the manager visits daily plus the owners come by frequently to check on the project. Everyone is friendly, respectful and professional. Communication is excellent!
4. CLEAN! They prepare your home, place plastic and wrap/move furniture to minimize dust and prevent damage. Plus they clean the worksite daily.
5. Dependable and trustworthy: I know this team and have trusted them without any reservations. Had a lockbox on the house and even went on vacation during projects without hesitation.
And the work is completed within the timeline!

All I can say is WOW! Working with WISA was nothing but stellar from start to finish. Budgeting was clear and succinct. Project was completed on schedule and perfectly. I had two small bathrooms totally renovated with one being from the original build in 1947. As wonderful and painless an experience as one could hope for during a home renovation project! You get what you pay for and what we paid for was not only quality product and workmanship, but also incredibly responsive customer support and excellent communication throughout the duration of the project. Any questions we had were answered quickly and with full transparency, any bumps that arose were discussed and resolved satisfactorily, and when we expected someone on-site the reliability was impeccable; I never had to unexpectedly rearrange my personal schedule because the crew wasn't there when expected.

I just finished my 6th project with WISA, a basement remodel. The fact that this was my 6th project with them should tell you all you need to know. This company treats you like a friend, not a customer. From the initial consultation, back and forth discussions on the design, material selection, and demo/construction, every person I worked with was a true professional. WISA uses no sub-contractors, so every employee is directed by the same management team. And every day during the work, someone from that management team, many times the owner himself, visits the worksite to make sure everything is going according to plan and that I am satisfied with the progress. WISA Solutions did a complete kitchen remodel for me in Alexandria, VA. Every phase of the project, from initial consultation through project completion, was the best experience I’ve ever had when undertaking such a major renovation. Everyone who did any of the work, and all had their specialty area, were WISA employees. No subcontractors at all. We recently completed a full kitchen renovation with the WISA team. We had an amazing experience from design to completion and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for high quality workmanship from a company that truly cares about their customers and the finished product. Their design team came up with ideas we hadn’t considered and the crew was polite, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves daily.
