If you have a custom stucco home I would avoid this company. I was excited to get a quote from this company. When they came out, they suggested they would need to put trim around my doors where currently I have no trim. My stucco wraps around door frame for a polished look. This is the front of the home. Window Source of Houston will not do that kind of work. They want to trim it which would degrade the look of a custom home. For the back of the home where I have two 120”x96” needing replacement, the gentleman initially said the stucco would not be a problem, that they remove the doors from the inside. Two days later I received a call they will pass on the job for reasons mentioned above. They do not have a stucco guy on staff and hence will not cut stucco back to do the install correctly. The owner did call and explain the reasons, however it’s frustrating how they advertise:
“Our replacement doors are custom-built ensuring a perfect fit and seamless integration with your home. With skilled craftsmanship and advanced technology, custom built solutions offers a perfect blend of aesthetics and durability.”
So I guess perfect blend of aesthetics is in the eye of the company and not the home owner. And even with skilled craftsmanship and advanced technology, they still can’t install a door because of stucco restraints unless you’re willing to go trim.
Update:
Within a hour of sending this review, the owner text me threatening legal action which makes me question if all the 5.0 reviews are legit or whether many people have taken down their reviews.
From the owner: “I will be filing with my attorney a defamation suit and will be sending a formal cease and desist letter”.

We understand your frustration and appreciate the opportunity to clarify our decision.
First, we would like to clarify that we work on stucco homes throughout the Houston area on a regular basis. The concern was not that your home has stucco, but rather the specific custom stucco application surrounding your door openings and the level of stucco modification and restoration required to achieve the exact appearance you wanted.
During our evaluation, we determined that replacing the doors while preserving that exact stucco finish would require specialized stucco removal and restoration work that falls outside our scope of expertise. Rather than risk compromising the appearance of your home or delivering a result that did not meet your expectations, we made the difficult decision to decline the project.
At Window Source of Houston, we believe it's better to be transparent about our limitations than to proceed with a project where we cannot confidently deliver the quality and finish our customers deserve. While our replacement doors are custom-built for each home, certain highly customized stucco applications require specialized exterior restoration work that we do not perform in-house.
We appreciate your feedback regarding the communication during the quoting process. While our initial assessment suggested a possible installation path, a more detailed review led us to conclude that we were not the best fit for your specific project. We understand this was disappointing.
That said, we are disappointed by the 1-star rating. We responded to your inquiry, visited the property, carefully evaluated the project, and me the owner personally called to explain our decision. We chose not to move forward specifically because we did not feel we could deliver the finished result you were seeking. While we respect your opinion, we do not believe a 1-star review accurately reflects the level of professionalism, honesty, and transparency demonstrated throughout the process.
We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to quote your project and wish you success in finding a contractor who specializes in the type of custom stucco restoration your home requires.

We also want to clarify that no legal threats were made. Our communication was a formal response addressing statements we believed to be inaccurate. Under Texas defamation laws, businesses have the right to address potentially misleading public statements, and our message was limited to that purpose only. It is also not typical for a company to face this level of dispute after declining a project, as we ultimately chose not to proceed with the work and therefore did not enter into a customer relationship.
