Appointment arranged for my convenience. A bit expensive but “Mr Luke”, who attended, methodically worked through to accurately diagnose the fault and rectify a tilt and turn window so well worth sorting to ensure working properly and secure. .

Luke came to replace 2 hinges on my double glazed back door and fit and extra hinge on Saturday18th April, he arrived at 10.30 am and was finished by 11.45am.
He was very quick clean and professional and very polite, and now it’s literally like having a brand new door which closes and locks properly and has no more gaps at the top where we used to be able to see daylight.

Easy communication with the office via WhatsApp, upfront fixed price quote based on video I’d sent of the problem door being jammed shut and its misted up unit. The teams arrived in the expected time slots, opened the door, replaced the mechanism, changed the window unit, cleaned up abd took the waste away. Window Fixers were easy to work with. From getting a quote to having 2 french door units and a side window unit (all blown and misted up) installed was a matter of days. Rehan who did the quote and Ravi who did the installation were pleasant and polite throughout. They were also very knowledgeable about all the aspects of replacing double glazing units. Fantastic from start to finish. Have had a broken uPVC tilt & turn window in my flat (3rd floor no external access) for about 4 years and repeated enquiries to other local firms have drawn a blank (many not responding at all). Got in contact with Window Fixers 2 days ago, the technician Luke (very friendly and very knowledgeable) came round this morning and all was sorted within 2 hours, for what I thought was a very reasonable price. I want to say a big thank you to Rihaan at Window Fixers, who was incredibly helpful in arranging an experienced tradesman, Luke, to fix my door. My home emergency cover with Admiral had previously sent out a tradesman through Sedgwick, but unfortunately he wasn’t experienced to adjust the door properly. He removed the frame keep and left my door unsecured, which was really worrying.
Luke, on the other hand, was brilliant. His experience showed straightaway he restored the frame keep, carried out the correct adjustments, and made sure my door was fully secure before leaving. The difference in workmanship was like night and day.
Sedgwick really should consider using more skilled tradespeople like Luke who actually know how to do the job properly instead of leaving customers with unfinished or unsafe work.
