For anyone interested in exploring the majesty of this area, we highly recommend this magical place. The proximity to both nature and entertainment is perfect! We were able to visit several state parks as well as enjoy amazing dining less than 5 minutes from the property. The property itself feels very private (we watched deer from our large pane window with our coffee each morning), is impeccably maintained and new. We visited after the first snowfall, making the sauna even more inviting! Ben was very responsive and accommodating, even allowing us early access at no additional charge. I will be recommending to anyone I know visiting the area!!
We had an amazing two-night stay! The cabin was brand new, spotless, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. Each cabin has its own private gas fireplace inside and an outdoor gas fire pit, both perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The large picture windows look out over the beautiful wooded property, making the space feel peaceful and connected to nature. The private sauna was such a treat, too. If you want a real wood fire, there’s a shared fire pit in the pavilion, we used it the first night and had it all to ourselves. It was great to sit by the fire and stargaze under the clear North Shore sky. The location couldn’t be better, right next to Lake Superior and the scenic route, with easy access to great restaurants and all the popular North Shore attractions. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

We had such an amazing time at the Wildernest Cabins. It was a beautiful place with great amenities. We loved the fireplace and sauna so much after a long day of exploring. Got to get out and try a couple of new places thanks to the recommendations Ben gave us. All in all it was such a treat to come enjoy leaf season here.
This was a short stay for us, two nights. We didn’t use many of the amenities that was provided due to a short stay. The location, comfort, and available amenities were incredible. It was quiet, very clean, great shower, private, near so many wonderful sites to take pictures, and premium hiking locations were everywhere. The simplicity of the lodging and great instructions helped make our stay stress free and relaxing. The lighting and heat options made it feel home like. We enjoyed meeting another couple at the communal fire pit which was amazing!
This will be a destination we will be looking to return to in the future.

This was a fantastic find. I believe it is virtually brand new. I have used Air BnB many times and have had good luck, this was perhaps the best and most accurate stay I have ever had. I truly wish I had more time to be at this location. It was unique and perfectly located for us to go hiking on some of the most beautiful trails. Returning from our hike and rejuvenating in the private sauna punctuated a perfect day. The amenities, from the bed, fireplace, private gas fire pit, new appliances, to the large community wood burning fire pit, was incredible. Everything you need to enjoy such a scenic place. Hope to return and stay even longer.

We have spent many trips to Duluth North Shore over the years and the Wildernest cabins have been our favorite stay. Beautiful design and private cabins with view of the woods through the picture window, private sauna, and well appointed kitchenette. Great communication from the host and the location provides easy access that all the north shore has to offer.
