Having recently decided to revamp my sofas I got in contact with Chris.
We have tried a couple of different companies, but liked Whitemans history .
Chris was very knowledgeable and explained everything he was going to do.
I can honestly say we were gobsmacked.
Worth every penny and would absolutely recommend .

Chris took my chaotic ideas for my old dining room chairs (“something modern but also classic but also comfy but also wow”) and turned them into pieces that feel like they belong in a design magazine.
The craftsmanship is outstanding; every line, curve, and finish looks like it was created by someone who is a furniture whisperer!!
The end result, rich velvet bespoke dinning chairs that will be enjoyed by friends and family at many a dinner around my table!

Upholsterers in Harlow are hard to find so we were delighted to discover a true craftsman nearby. We had 8 dining room chairs re-padded and covered and they look even better than when they were new. Amazing bespoke service - highly recommend. 8 quality dining chairs that had seen better days in a traditional tapestry design have been re-upholstered and brought back to life in beautiful modern fabric. These saggy chairs are now plump and comfy. Matching cushions for the living room to tie it all together. Delighted I found Chris at Whiteman Interiors. He collected & delivered my chairs and they look beautiful - thank you!
Chris is passionate about upholstery, a craft passed on to him by his Father and Grandfather. He is a perfectionist and his workmanship is excellent. As soon as I met with Chris, I felt he was trustworthy and fair. I felt comfortable and confident in his abilities from the very start. We were extremely satisfied with the service provided by Chris Whiteman of Whiteman Interiors. He reupholstered 2 sofas and an antique armchair. He provided a great variety of fabric samples, for us to choose from. He provided clear timelines regarding when the work would start and finish, and the workmanship was excellent. His communication was prompt and helpful via Whatsapp. He was always polite and helpful in all interactions with us. I can highly recommend him.
Can’t recommend Whiteman Interiors highly enough. Chris came to my home and discussed with me exactly what I wanted and what would be suitable for my limited space. I was very pleased with the sofa and chair they made, and the colour we choose matched perfectly with my other furnishings.
I highly recommend Whiteman Interiors. Chris and his team have worked miracles on a broken down, mouldy old sofa transforming it into a seat fit for a princess. The workmanship is excellent and it looks beautiful. They even added three scatter cushions for good measure. Chris was always friendly and professional and never over promised. He and Jamie did a great job getting the sofa upstairs to my little flat and kindly removing an unwanted chest. A huge thank you to you all.
Chris Whiteman services were extremely professional from the very beginning when I first contact the company to discuss the upholstery of my Parisian much loved chairs. Chris then came to visit me at home bringing various fabrics choices, I chose a couple from the books, Chris then ordered swatches to be sent to me which i received within a few days, i confirmed the fabric and Chris then assisted me choosing the braiding which he brought to my home to show me the exact colour match to the fabric I had chosen. My chairs were collected and delivered back within two weeks. The finish of upholstery is excellent (see photo attached) I am happy and grateful for the serviced I received.

From the moment we met Chris the service was exceptional. He's reupholstered 2 very tired sofas for us and we are delighted with them -they look like new. The workmanship is excellent. Also added some lovely scatter cushions. He kept us updated at every stage of the process and delivered ahead of schedule! Lovely, friendly guy - can't recommend highly enough.
Chris helped us choose the type of finish we ware after for a large window seat. The upholstery and cushions have been in for over six months and they are still in perfect shape. A really professional and friendly service, we have already referred Chris to some of our friends and will use him again in the future.
So happy with our two bespoke sofas, and coffee table/ottoman-what a difference they have made to our living room. Also covered our dining room chairs to match the sofas, they look better now than when we purchased them
