Excellent explanations on the distillery tour. I think the best and clearest explanations of the process of distilling, the differnet stages, and of the way the botanicals are combined and used of all the tours I have undertaken, delivered with humour and with great engagement.

Enjoyable & informative evening hosted by the owner with a relaxed atmosphere in the distillery. I wanted to understand more about English Whisky in terms of its history and future which I got. We tasted several whisky & spirits made on the premises along with local cheeses. Plenty of Q&A throughout and a visit into the distillery itself to see how various things are made. I took away more from this evening than a tour at one of the big Scottish distilleries!

We spent a lovely evening whisky tasting with Laurence. He is super knowledgeable and obviously passionate about the distillery. Tried some lovely whisky’s accompanied by cheese nibbles. Would highly recommend visiting for an evening event or just a drink at the bar. Would love to return and try the gins and rums next time.

Great visit, friendly welcome.
Popped into the shop and was greeted by Laurence the owner of the business. We were made to feel very welcome and offered to sample whisky and spirits. His knowledge is superb and he was happy to tell us about current and future plans. The whisky is excellent and we look forward keenly to new releases. The future of English whisky looks bright.

@label.lady.1 shared your link on Instagram so I decided to take a look. Chose the apple brandy as a Christmas present for my husband as he's a Calvados fan. Can't comment on the taste yet but the service, packaging and speed of delivery are second to none so I have high hopes!

Lawrence and the Wharf Distillery team just completed a small batch apple brandy run for me (300L of cider to fill a small cask). They took great care with the the heads and tails cuts and created a fruity, light and sweet eau de vie which perfectly matched the spec I had asked for. Top-notch contract distilling service all round!

Lovely place to visit, great tours, special events, a wonderful shop and sitting area where you can also have a drink or two serving the owners distilled alcohol with bespoke flavours and lots of variety.

What a find! No sense of a corporate background. Just a good passionate and enthusiastic approach by owner Laurence and his small team. The tour describes in detail the background and development of the distillery and the art of distillation using small scale equipment including dear 7ltr Boadica. An artisan aim with 'small' runs catering for many and varied requirements for whisky, gin, rum and vodka both near and far. One not to miss.
Came in for a birthday gift, lots of choice, lady was very knowledgeable about the products.
