Our group scheduled two full day float trips on the Stillwater with Pierce and Jay in early August 2026. Caught fish on both topwater and submerged flies. Unforgettable experience and would definitely recommend their knowledge and expertise if looking for an outfitter in Southwest Montana.

We had two great days fishing with Jay! He is patient, fun and informative! Knew the river and his knowledge resulted in a boat load of fish one day! He took great care of us and I would definitely book with him again! I would highly recommend requesting Jay as your guide!

What an unforgettable New Year's Eve fishing trip!!! We fished all day, Pierce grilled some amazing burgers, and we caught some beautiful trout. We couldn't have asked for a better day. The weather was perfect, the scenery was unreal, wildlife encounters at every bend (deer/ducks/geese/swans), and a great guide. Hope i csn come back in the spring. Thank you Pierce!!!

Had a terrific float on the Boulder with Matt Stevens. Matt worked very hard dragging the raft over shallows and boulders; navigating through rapids, and especially positioning the raft just right for easy casting to lots of trout-filled runs. I lost count of the browns and rainbows landed. Overall - a wonderful day on a great river with a great guide. Can’t wait to do it again. Many thanks to Pierce and Matt.

Absolutely the best! This is my second year fishing with Pierce Oja. Just he and me in a Watermaster with fish dog Brook. Last year was an amazing three days and this year was no different, save the snow storm that canceled the 4th day. Caught even more and larger fish this year on the Madison, Boulder and Stillwater rivers. I don't feel compelled to ever select any other guide than Pierce. He is accommodating, courteous, funny as hell, and just a joy to fish with. And he will put a person onto fish...so many for me that my right arm and hand were about worn out after three days busting the big ones. Absolutely top notch!!! Glenn

Zac We had the greatest experience of our lifetime float fishing with Zac over a three day period. Zac is one of most impressive young men we have encountered in many years. He is not only very knowledgeable and professional, but he truly has a passion to teach and mentor his clients. He was especially calm and patient while assisting Cindy who was introduced to fly fishing on this trip. He was kind and gentle in his interaction with her and instilled an appreciation for the sport as well as for the conservation of the fish population. He was also eager to help me improve my fly fishing skills to a new level, and taught several new techniques that were most effective in setting the strike and boating the fish. Thanks Zac!!! We look forward to fishing with Zac in the future and recommend him to everyone who is searching for a “lifetime “ experience in one of the most beautiful spots on earth…Montana! First Trip to Montana Had an amazing 2 days with Pierce. I have coached football for 17 years and I know a great coach when I see one. He not only provieded us with a master class in nymphing, fly casting, and reading the water, but put us in the best possible situations to catch fish at all times. We came to the mecca of trout fishing to learn and to catch world class trout and both obejectives were accomplished thanks to Pierce. This was the first of many future visits to this great land for us.
