West Vets is pure magic, and today reminded me why we’ll never go anywhere else.
Our 8-month-old Mini Schnauzer-mix Mochi needed to be seen urgently for an injured rear dewclaw. I called and they said, “Bring her down right away,” and had us in the door within minutes.
From the moment we walked in, the front desk wrapped us in warmth, the techs showered Mochi with love and the veterinarian was calm, thorough, and incredibly kind. They glued her little paw, started pain meds and antibiotics, and sent us home with clear instructions and genuine care.
Every single person at West Vets makes both dog and human feel like the most important beings on earth. Mochi is never nervous here – she’s excited to visit because she feels so loved. The compassion, speed, and heart this team shows every time we walk through the door is unmatched.
Thank you for dropping everything to take care of our girl and for treating us like family. West Vets isn’t just the best clinic around – you’re the gold standard.

Hands down the best clinic we've experienced in over 25 years. Dr. Lee is amazing with our boy, Gerry. The entire staff is so welcoming and calming for this anxious mama! On our last visit we even commented on how chill Gerry is when we take him in. If we could give 10 stars we would!

They saw my cat Chowder urgently as he had eaten a grape. They were quick and efficient with the appointment, and made sure he was still doing well days later

Thank you for letting my dying animal down. I've got a prescription that needs to be filled for antibiotics, proscribed by a different vet. I've phoned every pharmacy and clinic, of which I was told it could be shipped within a week or I could only buy a case.
You guys confirmed to me you have it in stock. You refuse to sell it to me because it's "against the law to sell injectable medications, it needs to be administered by a nurse". That is an outright lie. I administered injections to my diabetic cat for years. Moreover have I been offered this exact medication in preportioned syringes by every other vet in Lethbridge, and a handful of pharmacies... in point of fact they required me to buy 100 of them. Worst of all I was trained by a vet with the exact same medication, right before I was sent home with it.
A $30 medication would save his life. Because I went to the nearest vet first instead of you first I'm sat here watching my animal die.
How dare you insinuate I was rude on the phone. I called to ask if you could help, you said no so I continued my search elsewhere. The following day I called I was in tears because my pet was so weak I'd thought he'd passed away. I begged you for help. I didn't raise my voice. I didn't curse. I only asked for help. The only "rude" thing I did was hang up on you guys after getting a "sorry you'll have to set an appointment".

We recently had to say goodbye to our 14 year old labrador Dawson. Although we were not regular clients they got us in quickly and gave us time to say goodbye in the most compassionate way possible. I can't thank you enough for making an incredibly hard decision a little less painful.

We recently had our pups spayed and neutered at WestVets Animal Hospital, and the entire experience was absolutely outstanding. Dr. Geers, Dr. Greep, and their assistant Brooklyn were fantastic, professional, compassionate, and truly skilled. Our female Frenchie’s incision was so small and healed incredibly fast, which speaks volumes about the quality of their care.
Anytime we’ve had to bring one of our babies in for something, the team has always been so helpful, honest, and thorough in resolving the issue. It’s such a relief knowing that we can trust their guidance completely, they truly care about both the pets and their people.
From start to finish, the entire staff makes us feel confident that our babies are in the best hands. Jenny, the manager, and Kelly, the medical receptionist, are genuinely wonderful. Their warmth, affection, and care shine through in every interaction. They always take the time to make sure we feel comfortable, informed, and reassured, it’s clear how much they love what they do and how deeply they care for every animal that comes through their doors.. Vanessa, the technician, is incredibly detailed, kind, and consistently goes above and beyond.
We have five pups, and this is the only place we would ever trust to care for them. Thank you so much to the entire WestVets team, we appreciate you all more than words can say, and so do our babies ♥️

Dr. Greep was so unbelievably amazing with my dog, she has bad eyesight and he was so patient with her. We have never had such an amazing experience with a vet before, it means the world to us.

Have been bringing my cats here since they opened, and they give nothing but great service! They love each animal that comes in. Even let my cat wander around the main area after my appointment! (And got some adorable photos 😊)

Dr. Greep, the vet techs and the staff at the desk were so kind and compassionate as we said goodbye to our boy. They set us up in a quiet space and gave us as much time as we needed to grieve before and after he was euthanized. The drawer with the “forbidden” treats was a nice touch.
