Before my contact with Western Skies I was consumed by doubt, guilt and anticipatory grief. Western Skies, while providing understanding and compassion to me ,also helped broaden my understanding to help me to see Willie's physical and emotional experience and needs. Letting go has become more than my grief . I now feel that through this process I have listened ,heard and responded to Willie's wishes to be released from suffering.
The journey was peaceful and painless for Willie. The Vet was patient gentle , supportive and informative. Western Skies care is comprehensive, professional and caring. I am so grateful to them.
I highly recommend Western Skies when you’re in a very unfortunate situation in which you have to say goodbye to your fur baby. They were so patient and kind and explained everything to us ahead of time when we had to say goodbye to our Gracie. They really helped us get through a very difficult time in the best way possible and ensured Gracie was comfortable and not stressed out. They are simply wonderful!
I am beyond grateful to Western Skies End of Life Veterinary Care for allowing me to grieve in my own home and keep my sweet Angel comfortable in her own backyard for her last day. Even though my heart is shattered, I am so thankful for the tremendous kindness, patience and tender loving care provided not only to my sweet Angel, but to our whole family. I have been at this painful place before, and I will be here again, but this was such a blessing. They took care of absolutely everything, making this painful process as easy as it can hope to be. Thank you so much for walking this difficult journey with me.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Western Skies. Having to say goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the hardest decisions anyone can make, and they treated my baby, my daughter and me with so much compassion, patience, and dignity throughout the entire process.
From my very first email, the care coordinators were kind, understanding, and never made me feel rushed or judged. They answered every question I had, explained everything in detail, and helped ease so many of my fears.
Dr. Kayla took the time to let the sedation work at his pace, never rushed anything, and made sure he was as comfortable and relaxed as possible before moving forward. Every step was explained, and I always felt like his comfort and safety were their highest priorities.
Even though this was one of the most heartbreaking days of my life, they gave my sweet boy a peaceful, gentle, and respectful goodbye surrounded by love in the place where he felt safest.
I will forever be grateful to everyone at Western Skies for the kindness they showed us.
I was holding on to my ailing baby for too long. I came across Wester Skies End of Life Veterinary Care. They described what I was going through trying to hold on to my cherished baby and letting me know it was okay to let go. My baby boy was 13 years and struggling the last year. Every part of him was disintegrating, and you could see his attempt to smile, even in his most painful moments. Emily reached out to me after submitting my application the night before. She let me know my boy was in her thoughts and that they could get a vet out to my home in just a few hours that same day. She went over the process and let me know it was however we wanted it to go, however long or little, and that it was to be the most stress free, pain free, and loving way possible. Dr. Kayla arrived right on time, she came to the backyard where my boy loved to lay and rest and watch the traffic afar drive by. She sat right next to him and she introduced herself to him. She could see how much pain he was in, and asked permission to begin when I was ready. She administered the sedation, which she assured was going to aid his pain and anxiety. I watched my baby drift into the coziest most relaxing state of mind he has been in a while. She then again asked permission to administer the final shot that would end my babies misery, when I was ready. It all lasted minutes, though it seemed like it could have been forever. How do we finally say goodbye to the most loyal, loving, and selfless dog we thought should live forever? Dr. Kayla was amazing throughout the entire process, offering her deepest sympathy to both me and my boy, as she caressed him the entire time, letting him know it was time and he is free. She respected how little or much interaction I wanted, offering many options to me. I could not have asked for a more respectful, kind, soothing, and respectable opportunity they gave me. She trimmed a lock of fur from the back of his ear, the place he loved when I would tickle or scratch. She took a print of his paw that he loved to shake from. They offered a beautiful urn after his aquamation. Everything about the choosing of end of life care can be grueling, but everybody at Wester Skies made it as natural as can be and I’m so thankful for Emily and Dr. Kayla for assisting in making my babies journey as relaxing as can be, as well as offering me as much support as possible. I would recommend them to anybody suffering making the choice of if it’s time. Thank you again ladies for all you have done for me and my baby boy. He is finally free of any pain and suffering, living his best after life.

Making the decision to say goodbye to our beloved dog, Hercules, was the hardest decision our family has ever made. From my very first conversation with Emily, the care coordinator, I knew we were in compassionate hands. Emily was incredibly kind, patient, thoughtful, and understanding. During a time when your mind is overwhelmed and you're functioning on autopilot, she gently walked us through every step of the process, answered every question, and made an unbearable situation feel just a little less overwhelming.
Amelia came to our home, allowing Hercules to remain in the place he loved most, surrounded by the people who loved him most. She has such a calm, peaceful presence that immediately put all of us at ease. She never rushed us. She never made us feel like we were on a schedule. She simply allowed us the time we needed to love on our boy, talk to him, cry, laugh, and just be together.
She even brought Hercules a variety of delicious treats, encouraging him to enjoy every bite. Watching him happily eat those special treats while being loved by his family is a memory I will treasure forever. It was such a thoughtful and compassionate gesture.
Throughout the entire visit, Amelia treated Hercules with incredible dignity, gentleness, and respect. She spoke softly to him, loved on him, and gave us the space to say goodbye in our own way. It never felt clinical. It felt deeply personal, compassionate, and full of grace.
After everything was over, I honestly thought their kindness had ended there. Then, we received a beautiful card letting us know that a tree had been planted through the Arbor Day Foundation in Hercules' memory. I cried when I opened it, but for the first time in days, I also smiled. It was such a beautiful reminder that his life mattered and that his memory would continue to grow somewhere in the world.
No one wants to need this service. But if the time comes for someone you love, I cannot imagine being cared for by better people. Amelia and Emily helped carry us through one of the darkest days of our lives with extraordinary compassion, professionalism, and kindness.
Thank you for helping our sweet Hercules leave this world peacefully, surrounded by love. We will never forget your kindness.

This is the greatest gift to give your pet! Our dog was so relaxed and happy, which brought us comfort in this all.. Dr Burton was incredible and took the extra time to ensure our kids weren’t feeling rushed.she even left grieving info specifically for children, including a cute coloring book. We could not recommend enough. This is our third time using Western skies.

I had the pleasure of working with Western Skies End-of-Life when it came time to help my big boy Sampson cross the Rainbow Bridge. Putting an animal down is one of the most difficult decisions to make, but this place made that decision just a bit easier. Offering email and text was so welcomed as I was unable to speak without crying. They walk you through the whole process and are so kind and caring. Being able to do it in out home was much less stressful and more comfortable to both Sam and I. Sam was handled with so much love as he was transitioning to the other side, Thank You Emily. It was all the little things that showed how much they care about helping the animal and family through this emotionally difficult transition. Thank you for sending Sam off with so much love and kindness.
Writing a review for a service no one ever wants to use is incredibly difficult but the folks at Western Skies deserve to be recognized. From the moment we called, we were treated with compassion. Dr. Emilea was gentle, kind and patient and thoroughly explained the entire process. She kept our sweet Annie girl’s comfort and dignity as priority, even in the way she cared for our girl after she crossed the rainbow bridge. I can not say enough amazing things about Dr Kayla and the entire team at Western Skies. From the first interaction, to the way Dr Kayla sat with us and walked us through one of the hardest days we’ve experienced to the follow up email checking on us and the Arbor Day tree donation card in honor of Ruby that we received in the mail. She accommodated us asking to let Ruby pass outside on a comfortable quilt on the lawn where she enjoyed spending most of her days with no questions. Dr Kayla made an incredibly hard and sad day an easier process with how delicate and kind she was to our beautiful girl, Ruby. She had so much respect for us and Ruby and showed our sweet girl so much love. We are forever grateful for everyone at Western Skies. Thank you for letting us give her a much easier crossing of the rainbow bridge.

I highly recommend Western Skies! They are a wonderful company. They have helped us put down several of our animals over the years and they are always prompt and amazing.
We had Kayla come to our home and she was so patient, compassionate, and great at her job. She made sure to go at our pace and talked us through everything.
Losing a pet is so hard but doing it in our home brought us peace of mind and is much easier on the animals. I really appreciate these guys.
