West Coast Awnings Reviews

Julia M 2026.10.10

We received estimates from West Coast Awning and another company. Hands down, the people we interacted with from West Coast at our home were the absolute best. Professional, courteous, listened to what we wanted to do and, when it was discovered the awning choice we wanted wasn't going to work with our windows, let us know BEFORE any work was done, and we were able to pivot to a mutually satisfactory design and install. Highly recommend. Jimmy (the salesman); Mike (the engineer) and Robert and Zach (the installers) along with their company will definitely get our repeat business.

We had a center post (3 vertical posts - one of which was directly in the center of our view of our backyard) that needed to go. Obscured our view and made arranging the furniture in the back a nightmare. Rick helped guide us on what needed to be done and roughly 9/1, said he would almost certainly be able to do it by the end of September. West Coast Awnings has always kept their word and sure enough, 9/30/2026, the post is removed and it is done. Thank you, Rick. I especially want to thank Robert and Zach, the 2 gentlemen who came out on time to do the work. They were quick and cleaned up afterward. VERY happy with West Coast Awnings and especially Rick and Zach! Thank you!

My wife and I are so pleased with how our retractable awning came out. Prior to installation, we could not sit out on our back patio it was so hot during the day. It feels like it's 20 degrees cooler underneath the awning. Damien and Ken took great care of us.

Hello, Kris. We are thrilled to hear that you are already enjoying the shade under your new retractable awning. It is true that a retractable awning can lower the temperature of an outdoor living space by 20 degrees. Especially in a place like Tampa where direct sunlight temps can easily reach over 100 degrees. Thank you for the kind review and we hope you enjoy your new awning for many years to come!

Sunesta Remote Control Blackout Shade Thank you West Coast Awning! We had a remote controlled blackout shade installed over our master bedroom Slider and windows. We decided to have slider & windows triple pane replaced with Hurricane Slider/Windows. I had to call on West Coast to come and remove the shade, and a few weeks later come back and reinstall. Damien & Ken did the removal, and Rick & Mike did the reinstall. What a great job by both teams. Thank you, Melissa for keeping us informed with the scheduling of our project. We really appreciate all that you all did. We have three different shades/awnings from West Coast, and highly recommend them...for product quality, design and service, and exceptional value. 5 Stars

We worked with Jimmy from West Coast Awnings and would highly recommend him and this company for awnings. He was friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with. The production was on time and the installation came out great. We went with a decorative black metal awning to coordinate with our black metal roof. Thank you again for a great experience!

From our salesman, Jimmy, who made 2 housecalls, to the engineer who came and scoped out the job, and finally the installation team, Damien and Ken, everyone was friendly, professional and efficient. Robert & Zach recently installed a retractable awning in our backyard. They did a great job. They got the job done in just a couple hours; they were super nice and accommodating; and they cleaned everything up before they left. We also got lots of good tips for efficient use and care of the awning. Great job, guys!

Very happy with the awning installation on our balcony. We thought it could not be done because a gutter was in the way, but Zach and Roberto made it happen. Thanks to Jimmy, too, who delivered earlier than expected. Great service.

Very pleased with our sail cloth structure that provides shade for our cars. Robert & Zach came out & put sturdy posts in & a few weeks later sail awning was put up by them. Not only is the sailcloth of strong quality but the posts are too. These two men worked hard to make sure all is right & they were so quick too. Very professional & pleasant. Highly recommend Zach & Robert to do this work as they take pride in doing the best!
