Dr Kumaran is an excellent bariatric surgeon! Prior to my surgery he explained as well as showed pictures of the varies Gastric procedures that I could select. Then after selecting the Gastric sleeve procedure he assured me walk me through what to expect to which I felt comfortable with proceeding with this operation. Everyone that I have encountered or communicated with at Arch bariatrics has been wonderful. They were very responsive when I had questions with insurance related things for approval. Dr Chinnappan is very informative and kind. He has great bedside manner. I am only 1 month out, but so far I am very happy with my results.

Not enough can be said for the genuine care, concern, and interest Dr. Chinnappan has for all of his patients. From the first interaction, he wants to understand every detail and every step you have taken to ensure he provides the best plan of action for each patient, as everyone is obviously different. He thoroughly explains each step of the process from preparation to the day of your procedure to the recovery. Neither he nor his incredible staff, failed to answer any question. No matter how small or how many times they may have said it before, your comfort is always at the forefront. Katie was more than helpful with anything administrative. She made everything easier than any office staff has in the past. If you’re considering discussing this as an option for yourself, please be sure to consider Dr. Chinnappan. You will not regret it!

Dr. Chinnappan did a terrific job with everything he has done for me, including his staff.
I got the gastric sleeve on 5/7/25 and today’s date is 6/10/25 and I’m down 55 pounds. If you just follow the directions this procedure will work.
The surgery itself actually wasn’t very painful at all, with only day and a half in hospital. Once you get past the liquid diet it’s pretty easy to maintain. I probably wouldn’t have pursued this surgery if Dr Chinnappan office didn’t keep following up with me and keeping me on track with all the steps prior to surgery. I seen an ad on Facebook for them and inquired and the rest is history. I’m very excited to become healthy. In one months time I’m already off all type 2 diabetes medication including insulin, and working on getting off blood pressure medication also. The trade off for stopping medications is having to take vitamins forever, but way cheaper and better for you in the long run. No regrets from me and definitely would recommend Dr. Chinnappan for this life changing surgery. Thank you Doctor

I've lost just over 200 pounds in 23 months and I'm still losing. I was super obese when I had my surgery and had scarring from a previous gallbladder surgery both of which made surgery more complicated. Dr. Chinnapan did an excellent job clearing up the scaring and performing the surgery. There were and are no complications. The gastric sleeve changed and saved my life.
