Had a great experience with Walsh moving for a Long Beach to Bay Area move. They came to the house to create an estimate, gave me a few options for the move day. Set expectations on price and answered a handful of questions quickly. The neighborhood has narrow streets, they even brought an extra truck in case the big truck could not fit (it did). The move team was very detailed oriented, wrapped furniture carefully, were careful not to skip anything or include anything that should have been left. Delivery in the Bay Area was also on schedule and went smoothly.
We recently hired Walsh Moving and Storage for a two-part move. We were downsizing therefore half of our stuff needed to be moved out of state to our son's house and the other half needed to go to our new local home. From first contacting the office staff, to meeting the movers on moving day, everything with both moves went smoothly. The communication with the office was excellent. The movers for both moves were on time, friendly, and hard working. The price was very reasonable. I would recommend them and will use them again for our future moves.

I had a very good experience with Walsh Moving. Scheduling the work was easy. They showed up on time and were very helpful and cooperative. Gino and Roy were careful with our items and got the job done efficiently. I've used them before and will use them again, so I can recommend them without hesitation.

I requested packing and moving services for Oct 19, 2025. The events that happened on that day were not professional and I deeply regret requesting the services of Walsh Moving & Storage. The two men that arrived and explained to me some of the process and proceed to move some of my already packed boxes. They opened my already packed boxes to put more things. A mover, Dwayne, said he needed to use my bathroom. When I came back into the bathroom I noticed that chocolate rappers and chocolate were on the bathroom floor that were not there before. I immediately knew he ate the chocolate I had out on my kitchen island. When I returned to my kitchen I noticed my iPad was missing and he was trying get my laptop and cellphone. When I asked about the items he said my move was a pack and go move so he would be grabbing items. I was horrified that my iPad was packed and I still cannot find it. I moved the items to my bedroom and he proceed to come into my bedroom to pack it before he was finished packing living room and kitchen. He then yelled at me to gather the things I didn't want him to touch in bedroom while he went about getting items in my kitchen. During this move I had packing tape with metal cutters at the end that he removed and proceed to rip the tape with his teeth. He kept the metal cutters. Due to this I had to leave and buy more tape when I came to my apart to discover the second mover had stopped helping and was just standing at the moving truck on his phone. When I entered my apartment I discovered Dwayne had eaten some of my food in my pantry because I saw it on my kitchen floor. I did keep some of the food items he touched for fingerprints. And the items that were in my kitchen cabinets were on the floor. I had thought he would pack them but never attempted to. And my drinks were missing. I did not give the movers permission to eat my food and the living furniture had not been touched. When I stepped out onto my patio, I knew Dwayne was still in my apartment but had stopped packing up my bedroom. Later, I discovered he put my new soda in the freezer and was probably trying to take it while I was on the phone outside. I stepped outside to ask someone to come assist me because the second man did not step into my apartment and Dwayne had yelled at me a second time. Dwayne kept all of the metal cutters from the tape and later I discovered I would be charged for the tape and packing supplies they used even though I provided all supplies needed. While in my bedroom Dwayne opened my already packed suitcase, I discovered this because my underwear was on the floor. After some time my things were moved to the truck but my bedroom and kitchen items were not all packed and moved to the truck, just left on the floor. I did not feel safe and locked my door before giving him my last soda. I was afraid to be alone with him but the second mover was not around much. I believe Dwayne was high from his behavior in my apartment and later discovered some things are still missing that I had before. When they were moving things to my storage unit he proceeds to yell me again about holding the door open for the second mover while he went to my unit alone to unpack boxes and put items in my unit. A male friend and it was only then that the movers listened to my directions, because they saw he was a security officer. When the movers arrived to my unit they took things out of the boxes they provided and said I could not keep the boxes without being charged. It was explained to me that I am being charged for using Walsh Moving & Storage boxes and tape for this move. I regretfully had to pay $950 for movers I am sure stole both food and items from me and did not listen to my directions. I did not feel safe during this move and had only one mover doing most of the most of the work. I was charged for using Walsh Moving & Storage boxes and tape even though I provided my own supplies and simply needed my items packed and moved.
I've been moving quite a bit in the last 40 years, including out of state and Walsh Moving is by far the best movers I have dealt with. They were amazing at both ends of the move. Everything arrived in n the same condition it left Long Beach CA in! The movers were prompt, careful and totally professional. As a single woman, I get nervous about letting strangers in the house, but I didn't think twice about the Walsh movers.

I can't say enough about the excellent service from Walsh Moving & Storage. My 1st of several calls to Adan were all handled with professionalism and he put me at easy about my moving my heavy items. The movers (Manny & Charlie) arrived on time, were extremely professional, went straight to work assessing the job, and took extra care to wrap my 2 NEW MARBEL top double sink bathroom vanities. Initially I was very worried because the new vanities were 300+ lbs each and had to be carried them up a stairwell. Manny & Charlie handled the vanity transport like superheroes! They didn't damage anything. Not one wall! I've moved several times over the past few years and Walsh Moving & Storage is the best hands down! I recommend them highly!

Fantastic last minute move, came on time and under budget/estimate. They got me moved on a Saturday (Sundays are pricier) when I called earlier in the week! Quote was quick, movers were efficient. I wish the office had been a little clearer that they'll help you uninstall a washer dryer but not install it!

I am glad to hear your local move was under estimate and that you were pleased. I am sorry they did not re-install the washer and dryer. We normally do. Perhaps they were concerned with the hoses or the water valve and did not want the responsibility. I will look into this and correct it if it was possible to do this for you. Normally, the men go the extra mile to make sure a customer is satisfied.

They provide verbal and written quotes.
Now the Good Stuff:
They remain CALM regardless of how frazzled you might be or get.
They are exceedingly polite both over the phone and the in-person movers.
They know what they are doing.
THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.
My Personal Recommendations:
I was no where near ready to move. Walsh was scheduled. I thought I could make it work. I got sick late Thursday night; too late to reschedule. (I ended up being sick for three days.)
Walsh arrived as scheduled Friday morning. I couldn't move let alone move. I had to cancel and reschedule for the following Monday. I was charged a fair cancellation fee. They arrived Monday as promised. They didn't make fun of me still not being ready. A lot was moved that day. (Great price overall even with the cancellation fee.) Thanks.
These guys were awesome. Efficient, fast, neat, clean, and friendly. They even took time to help sturdy up an old antique desk i had....it had been wobbly for YEARS AND NOW IT IS STEADY. I can't thank these guys enough.

Walsh recently moved us from Manhattan, KS to Santa Clarita, CA. This was our first time using them. They were easy to work with over the phone setting up the service( Adan- was great) the price was right, and the movers were efficient, careful with our stuff, and really pleasant. They really go the extra mile. The movers showed up an hour early on move day. They worked with us on a delivery day and time due to my husband’s work schedule being crazy. Thomas the long distance manager was great as well. He called and verified everything every step of the way- and up until moving day. We did the packing, but they wrapped all our big items. In researching moving companies, we found that others were more expensive. Some reviewers for those companies said that when the moving van arrived at their new home, the movers demanded additional money beyond the half owed to release their belongings. Also, we had a terrible experience last year with movers and Walsh put our faith back in movers. Walsh told us how much they would charge, my husband paid upfront and that was it. There was no additional charge for anything. And they delivered on time no waiting no run arounds. We greatly appreciate Walsh and would recommend them to anyone. And will definitely use them in the future.

Thanks for the great review Jessica. We do not require payment on long distance moves until delivery. We would never hold someone's goods and demand more money for no reason at all. I am wishing your husband well at his new job with USC.
