Loved the guide, Loved the Food, Loved the history!!! Joseph was a kind, thoughtful guide. He provided a mini historical tour between food stops. The food was a good crosscut of the neighborhoods we traversed. He checked in with us several times during the tour to be sure we were enjoying the food and our tour, and to answer any questions we had. I highly recommend Joseph to be your guide at Walk With Us…..and I would advise you to go on an empty stomach!!

Incredible Food and Insider's Insight I would highly recommend this tour. Alex was an incredible tour guide. He not only provided information on the food and the history behind the food we were eating, but he also gave us insider's knowledge on the former East Berlin community where we were walking. His stories brought the area to life and helped us understand a part of Berlin and life in Berlin which was not part of other tours.

We had the best time learning from Alex around Friedrichshain, great food, great culture, and a lovely host! We found it to be a good balance of walking and eating and learning and the group wasn't too big where we might stand out as tourists. Seriously, we'll be going back to some of the food stops, so tasty!

Highlight of our trip to Berlin! We had a wonderful, if very chilly, tour with Alex exploring the Prentzlauer Berg area and eating our weight in delicious food. What I appreciated most is that the places he took us to were ones I would have walked right past without thinking, never expecting the food inside to be so delicious. Alex was able to give us hospitality, historical context, some laughs, and great insight into modern life in Berlin. I'm still daydreaming about that chicken shawarma on our first stop!

My husband and I had an amazing time on the Berlin Food & Cultural Tour: German & Berliner Classics with Walk with Us Tours! Our guide, Alex, was fantastic — super knowledgeable about both the food and the history of Friedrichshain, and you could tell he’s put a lot of thought into curating the perfect stops along the route. Every bite was delicious — from the perfectly crispy schnitzel to the flavorful doner kebab and the iconic currywurst, we loved sampling so many local favorites. The German Flammkuchen was a standout, and the apple cinnamon dumplings at the end were the perfect sweet finish. We also really enjoyed exploring Friedrichshain itself — it’s such a cool, artsy neighborhood, and Alex’s stories made us appreciate it even more. Highly recommend this tour if you want to eat well, learn a lot, and have a genuinely fun time experiencing Berlin’s food and culture!

Excellent We did this tour last night with Chris. He was a wonderful host who guided us around a beer tasting tour of quirky East Berlin. His knowledge of beer was unbelievably interesting and his knowledge of Berlin modern history made for great conversation. Great Craft Beer tour in Munich We met at the BrewsLi brewery to start our craft beer tour with our guide, Josh. He provided detailed explanations regarding beer brewing and fun anecdotes. We enjoyed different beers from 4 different locations. There was a small snack of bread and cheese spread provided as well. There was approximately 1.5 miles of walking during the tour which gave us additional time to ask questions and gather clarifications. Lots of fun-strongly recommend for beer lovers.
