Martin and his team were great for our home when building a new deck. They ensured the permitting process was easy on us, they explained everything they did from the beginning to the end of the project and they cleaned up after themselves.
They were quite easy to work with and very communicative. Martin took all opportunities to give advice on how to get the most out of our new deck. During the process we had to have the hot tub disconnected, and some bad siding replaced. Martin ensured all of that was available to us without myself having to reach out to more people/businesses. He made things very simple for us. Heck, he even painted part of the new siding after it was replaced without being asked to. He and his team made us feel like our project mattered not just to us, but to them as well.
Pricing was reasonable and he delivered what was asked. We did end up going over the quote ONLY because we had to have some siding replaced which he left completely up to us. If we did not have to contend with previous damage from the last owners, we would have been right at or below the quote.
I would gladly recommend Vision Built for their communicative nature and professionalism to anyone looking to have work done.

We contracted with Vision Built Construction for a garage addition to a 35 plus year old house with eclectic construction. Plus the remodel of the existing garage into a family fun room/shop. We had already had the plans drawn and certified by a registered architect, which Vision Built used to develop their cost estimate. Right out the gate it was clear the original plans were way off neither the elevations or the dimensions were correct. The unforeseen Challenges didn’t end there. They continued, from flawed existing foundation through existing building framing. The entire project was sprinkled with unforeseeable existing structure problems that could have brought the project to a halt if not for Martin's great pool of specialty contractors they drew on to solve them all. Sam, our Vision Built Project Manager is a highly skilled builder himself who not only quickly identified looming problems, he designed solutions and directed the changes to implement each. Their relationship with outstanding subcontractors in all elements of construction has been key to the success of our project. Botton line, Vision Bult has taken great care to insure our project is high quality construction and what we want.

Vision Built helped us realize our dream for our home.
Included services were a full floor remodel, a full kitchen remodel including all new cabinetry, countertops and appliances, a bathroom remodel with conversion from a bath to a walk in shower and removal of an old heating system. Areas to improve on are largely related to communicating clear timelines for work completion. From start to finish it was early August 2021 until early Feb 2022.
Updates: after time in the home after their work is done, the finish work on a lot of the trim leaves much to be desired.
Additionally, unnecessary spaces were left above at least one cabinet.

Outstanding work!
Vision Built Construction completed a project to add a golf cart garage to our existing garage. This included architectural and engineering drawings by Miller/Metge to satisfy the HOA requirements along with Kootenai County. Martin Sakwi and his team at Vision Built Construction came in on time, at the estimated price. Quality and workman ship of all the trades involved was top notch.
We could not have asked for more.

This is the second remodeling project Vision Built has done on my home. Obviously, I was happy with their services the first time, but the second time they went above and beyond expectations. They clearly communicated both the cost and timeline of the project and were able, by and large, to stick to their projections for both. They even sent out a carpet installation crew on Sunday so our timeline didn't get pushed back. The entire team was very pleasant, knowledgeable and professional across the board though I communicated mostly with Todd. He did the majority of the work and he always let me know what phase of the project he would be working on, what to expect and what time to expect either he or his crew. They were usually punctual and if Todd or his crew got held up for some reason, he made sure to let me know things were going to be running behind schedule and what time I could expect him. I really appreciated the great customer service and their work product was fantastic. I'm very happy with the end result!

We had a very good experience with Vision Built. Our remodel started just at the beginning of rising material costs, supply issues and hyper-extended wait times for permits. So the duration from start to finish was longer than both of us hoped for. But Martin and Vision Built stayed on task, pushed, pulled, scheduled and re-scheduled our remodel all the way through despite numerous slow-downs out of their control. They employ or contract out to top-of-the line craftsmen. They stay on task and communicate well. Everything was completed to our great satisfaction. We now have a beautiful kitchen, bath and living area. Thanks VB!

Steer clear. Its obvious that the bid process is meant to come in low on cost and quick on schedule in order to win new business.
After the bid it was clear they didn't understand the statement of work. Two line items they would not perform since it would cost them too much (even though it was clearly identified on the SOW, not something uncovered). I also caught them in a lie where they claimed an excessive lead time wouldn't allow them to finish my flooring, then it changed to "product no longer offered". Well come to find out it was pricing once again.
Communication was terrible as I would get a call to schedule a particular step of work, when the work was already happening! Also if you call to find out status on your late project, they will get upset at you for bugging them, poor customer service.
They had no idea an insulation inspection was needed, and i had to remind them, shouldn't a GC know that?
The folks they were subbing work out to even mentioned that they had seen this on other Vision Built projects they visited. You are better off doing the work yourself.
