Highly recommended for anyone serious about their recovery I can highly recommend Villa Paradiso to anyone looking for a place to start their recovery journey from active addiction. Matt and his team have a wealth of experience and knowledge which I found to be invaluable. Their 12-step based program is very thorough and will ensure you develop all the tools needed to maintain sobriety after leaving the Hacienda. I really liked the small group set-up which allows for significant one-on-one time with the therapists and an ability to design a tailor-made program that caters to your specific situation and needs. Whilst the cost is not insignificant, for me it was worth every penny!

The best decision I ever made …… After realising I couldn’t cope with or change my behavioural patterns I decided to seek help. Call it fate or call it chance but my research in finding help led me to Villa Paradiso and Mr Matthew Idle, the very first meeting I had with Matt changed my life, because I knew right there and then that I had found the right place and the right therapist. 4 years later I am telling you that to this day entering Villa Paradiso and “surrendering” to Matt and the NA programme remains the best decision I have ever made!!! Not only because of my time in the Villa but also because of the aftercare provided I am now a sponsor helping other addicts and host a weekly international meeting for all existing and previous Villa Paradiso clients, words could never truly express my gratitude to Matt and the team at Villa Paradiso for enabling me to live a life beyond my wildest dreams so I simply “keep it simple” and ensure I give back to others what I was so whole heartedly given ……. And that is to share the fact that there is HOPE for each and everyone of suffering from the disease of addiction and other mental health issues!!

Beyond grateful When I started researching rehabs abroad, I’d had a horrendous few years and was desperate for help. Having been in treatment before, I was looking for something different and I found it in Hacienda Paradiso. From my initial phone call to being picked up at the airport I was in regular, reassuring contact with Matt, the lead therapist and when I arrived I quickly realised that I had made the right choice. The calm, homely atmosphere, comfortable private rooms and stunning surroundings put me at ease and every single member of staff, from the doctor to the cleaner, struck the perfect balance between friendliness and professionalism. Paolo, the chef, made me my first of many beautiful plates of food and any nerves I had quickly started to settle…I felt like I belonged and was going to be looked after. Having a maximum of 8 clients meant that group therapy sessions were intimate and highly effective, one-to-one therapy could be daily and highly personalised and I formed close bonds with patients and staff alike. The experience and expertise of the therapy team ensured that I did exactly the work I needed to do to give me the best possible chance of maintaining my recovery. I honestly cannot fault Hacienda Paradiso in any way. I have left feeling mentally and physically better than I have done for a very, very long time. It is, without a doubt, the best decision I ever made.

Top rehab After been to rehabs earlier which didnt worked my sister found villa paradiso. For me it was perfect because i also struggled with ADHD and anxiety which was an extra complication to my addiction. After making the first call there was a direct connection and understanding with Matt who answered the phone. I wanted to try one more time and went to villa paradiso, and glad i did. I finally got my life back. thanks to all the staff working there. Outside the therapy the food of Paolo and Martina was delicious, the location, the beautiful view helps you clear your mind and focus on yourself. The walks in the morning with Miguel was a nice start of the day. Top rehab but hopefully for me no reason to Come back.

RECOVERY For people looking for a REAL rehab with QUALITY therapists at the top of their game, this is the place for you . I would certainly not be alive today if was not for Matt and his team . I was a broken soul & totally powerless over my addiction before I got to the villa and very close to loosing it all . I was welcomed with open arms by Matt and his team and my journey of recovery started . I can’t thank the whole team enough for all the support , kindness , patience , guidance & love I got . The 12 step programme is a huge part of my life now and so are the friends I’ve made along this journey of recovery . I say this from the bottom of my heart , the VILLA CHANGED MY LIFE ! Julian xxxx

I went to multiple rehabs then I found this one! After going to 6 other rehabs and battling with my addiction I found Villa Paradiso. It allowed me to rediscover myself, gave me the tools to stay clean and reconnected me with my family. I was so lost and now I have a better understanding of myself. It wasn't easy, but it was worth it. Most rehabs if not all the private clinics I'd been in previously seemed more focused on money than the patients recovery. This place was the opposite and supported me every step of the way with staff who understood my problems having experienced them themselves. I would highly recommend.

Do not go here I would not even give this establishment 1 star. I stayed in this shocking facility in February 2023 and was treated in the most revolting and unprofessional manner imaginable. The staff were rude, swore at me, lied to me about their services and showed absolutely no respect. The facility discharged me with no follow up plan and no medication to take home. This is only the tip of this story's iceberg and I hope all who read this review understand that the staff lie, in some cases can barely communicate interpersonally or in English. The staff shouted abuse at me in Spanish and the entire impact of the stay there was a total waste of time, money, energy and health. It has negatively impacted my fibromyalgia which has not recovered from it's flare since leaving. Do not go there.

It really changed my life. Thanks for everything. After having an addiction problem for more then 20 years and tried various treatments I found Villa Paradiso on internet. I send them an e-mail and spoke to Matthew for the first time. It felt good from the beginning. I stayed there from the 4th untill the 18th of January 2023. When I came I was broken and emotional but after a short day the staff ( Matthew, Paulo, Letty, Sergio and others), clients and surroundings made me feel at ease. That was the start of a “beautiful” but tough 2 weeks where I learned a lot about myself and what I need to know and accept to stay clean. Today it’s the 9th of February 2023 and I am 40 days without any substance. It’s still tough sometimes but If I didn’t came I would have lost my family and self-respect forever. Bas The Netherlands
