I had a sick chainsaw which wouldn’t start and I contacted Luke who said he would have a look. I used the contact detail on his website and he called me back very quickly and we arranged a time when I would drop the saw off - really impressed with this! Long story short, he had the saw for a day, diagnosed the issue and fixed it very quickly at a very reasonable price. I delayed my review as today was the only chance I had to use the saw as I had a vast amount of logs to cut, anyway, the saw started as he said it would if I followed his instructions and I have to say the saw has not run so perfectly even when new and it’s not that old. This guy really knows what he’s doing and I wouldn’t hesitate to use his services again and would thoroughly recommend him to anyone who has garden machinery issues - give him a try, absolutely top drawer service from start to finish.

I had a Stihl strimmer that wouldn't start - gave it to Luke who worked out what it was and fixed the problem. Excellent service - will be my 'go to guy' going forwards.

Luke was brilliant. He saw the problem immediately and fixed it while I waited. He also sharpened the blade on my mower. I thought I would have to leave the mower behind for a day or so, but I didn't. Really impressed and would happily recommend Village Mowers.

Fantastic service by Luke at Village Mowers. I took my deceased petrol strimmer over on Tuesday and got a call on Wednesday to say it was all overhauled and ready to collect which is an amazing turnaround. The strimmer works better now than it did on the day I bought it and starts on the first pull. I cannot recommend Luke highly enough and cannot wait to take my chainsaw over for a bit of TLC. Excellent professional, prompt and reasonably priced service - our lawnmower was picked up from us and returned to us. It wasn’t working when it left but returned back fully functioning, fuel issues sorted and blades sharpened - cut the grass beautifully. Thank you Luke

‘Village Mowers’ - what a find! For some time I’ve been struggling to achieve a good, neat mow of the lawn with my Bosch electric mower. Whatever the setting, instead of cutting the grass, it seemed to chew it up and leave an uneven mess.
I saw Luke’s ‘Village Mowers’ Facebook post and messaged him. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and offered to have a look at the mower.
Within an hour of dropping it off, Luke had diagnosed the problem - a badly worn, very blunt rotary blade in need of sharpening, not replacing!
Luke gave me a price for the repair work - a very reasonable charge - plus a deadline for completing it. Luke was true to his word and the next morning the lawn mower was ready to pick up.
It’s now good as new and cutting the grass very neatly, evenly and much more easily. Many thanks to Luke. He did a great job and saved me the expense of buying a new machine or paying for parts. Great service all round by ‘Village Mowers’ - a big recommendation if your lawn mower needs some attention.
