We used Vet At Home for the first time this past week and I can’t say enough good things! Dr. De Sanctis and her tech, Bella, were absolutely wonderful with my two cats. My sweet boys are 12 and 11 years old and vet trips are hard for them. One is super nervous and pees in his carrier without fail, and the other struggles with non-recognition aggression when they come home from a traditional vet visit. That has sometimes meant separating them for up to a week, which is extremely stressful for both the cats and for me.
Scheduling the home visit was very easy, and the entire experience was so much calmer than a typical vet trip. I reached out on their website and received a reply within a day offering me an appointment the following week. Dr. De Sanctis took great care of my boys. She was patient and gentle, and explained everything clearly. Bella was also fantastic and helped make the visit smooth and low-stress.
The biggest difference for me was that my cats didn’t need to be separated afterward due to aggression, since they could stay comfortably in their home for the appointment. We still had a couple hisses but that resolved within hours and they were best buds again by the end of the day. That alone made the experience worth it. Everyone was much happier with the outcome, and it eliminated so much anxiety for all of us.
We will absolutely continue using this service and highly recommend Vet At Home to anyone looking for compassionate, low-stress veterinary care for their pets.

Absolutely wonderful with my shy rescue senior dog!! Did a full exam and all tests and shots! A real lifesaver for our dog who fears the car!

I am so happy we were able to see Melody in the comfort of her home and make vet visits much less stressful for her by not having to travel in a car. We look forward to seeing her again next year. She is absolutely adorable!
I recently transferred care over to Vet at Home for my two female cats and have had a GREAT experience. Dr. De Sanctis is so personable, friendly, and professional. She answers all of my questions and provides a thorough explanation that’s easy to understand. Her medical advice is also so personable to our cats. One of our cats has asthma and she really took the time to brainstorm treatment options. Overall cannot recommend Dr. De Sanctis and her team enough!!

I reached out to Vet At Home because my dog was turned away from my previous vet for her anxiety and aggression issues during appointments even when medicated. I thought being at home could help her be more calm. They got her history in advance and had great communication. They showed up promptly on time, with all their supplies, and were able to give my dog all her needed tests and vaccines. All medications were called through my local pharmacy. They were knowledge, respectful, and handled my difficult dog well. You do pay an extra fee for the at-home visit but that is to be expected and I think it was well worth it. Definitely recommend.
I've done animal rescue for 30 years, and I know getting a GREAT vet is essential when you move. Not easy, but essential. I'm really pleased with Dr. De Sanctis and her nurse Cindy. They're incredibly skilled and knowledgble, extremely kind and gentle, and are providing amazing care to my elderly cats. I highly recommend Vet At Home in Pittsburgh. 💖
Performed a successful tumor removal of possibly cancerous lump but then it went downhill. I asked for a quote before agreeing to the surgery and the vet slipped in $1000 of additional charges after it was completed. Vet was not available for aftercare of the surgery causing stitches to be permanently imbedded and unnecessary irritation. Did not communicate that they did not have availability or suggest going to another vet, instead prolonged the follow up visit and only communicated once every 3 days. I have had wonderful experiences with house call vets, this practice will care for your pet at a significant cost with a delay reducing the quality of the outcome.
We’ve been using various home visit vets for our cats over their lives, and Dr. De Sanctis and the Vet at Home staff have been by far our favorite. Everyone is so pleasant to deal with, and as our cats are senior pets now, it has been such a relief to have a vet who has been so invested in their care. We would highly recommend Vet at Home for anyone whose cats or dogs prefer the comfort and convenience of home vet visits!
Vet At Home is a life saver. The Doctor and her team are the best. They are gentle and caring when dealing with our cat. They have taken the anxiety out of vet appointments, and I am comfortable knowing our cat is getting top notch care.

We are so pleased with our experience with Vet At Home. Dr. De Sanctis is wonderful! Our senior cat gets very stressed when we must travel to the vet, so it made for a much more comfortable and relaxing checkup experience that she could see him in the comfort of our home.

Dr. DeSanctis and her team are truly amazing. I’ve had pets my entire life, and in my 53 years, I’ve never met a vet as gentle, caring, and kind as she is. Over the years, she’s cared for six of my cats and even helped us say goodbye to two of them at home with such compassion and grace. She and her team are always so patient, taking the time to make sure both the animals and their humans feel comfortable and informed. My only complaint is that we can’t bring her and her wonderful team with us to Mexico City. We’ll miss you all so much!

Dr. DeSanctis is fantastic. It's such a relief when she comes to the house to check up on my cats rather than having to bring them to the vet-- which is very stressful for them and for me. Dr. DeSanctis is very knowledgeable, and she has a great bedside manner with both cats and people. Considering that she checks all three cats at the same time, her professional fees are very reasonable.
I highly recommend Vet At Home, P.C., especially if you have pets who don't travel well, and who hate going to the vet.

This was the most comprehensive vet visit I have ever experienced. Merely stating that I am impressed does not fully capture my sentiment.
Dr. De Sanctis arrived fully prepared with a list of questions based on the information I had sent plus their previous vet records. The examination was very thorough. Dr. De Sanctis and Bella, the vet tech, were an amazing team. Everything was explained to me clearly so that I fully understand what was happening and potential path forwards depending on test results.
I have never felt more confident having M&M in the care of someone. I am so grateful to have found Vet at Home and I strongly recommend them.
