Zak is an extremely personable and knowledgeable individual. He is a pleasant person to work with not only regarding mortgages, loans, and all that capitalist stuff. But also as an individual who cares about his clients. He goes above and beyond to make the people he works with comfortable. Fair warning, don't give him any personal details about yourself because he will sit and talk with you about it for hours and you will have a great time doing so. Also, if you are ever considering using Rocket Mortgage, just don't. I promise you it will be terrible, even if you think it won't, they will find a way to screw you. Zak saved my loan which was doomed to fail thanks to Rocket Mortgage, and was able to close my loan on a two week timeline, with a Fourth of July weekend in between. If you are unsure about working with Zak, or you are one of those people who like shopping around rates, I would recommend you stop looking further and appreciate Zak for his professionalism and the value he brings outside of simple numbers. You won't regret it.

Zak Rhodes is a FANTASTIC lender! He was available any time of day, even on weekends, and answered all of my questions; no matter how crazy or stupid they were being that I was a first time homebuyer with a lot of anxiety. He was easy to work with and ultra flexible. He made my priorities his and went above and beyond for me. He was very educated in the VA loan process and did everything possible to get me a great interest rate for today’s times. Highly recommend Zak. Update just over a year later: Zak keeps in touch and sends house warning types of goodies. He still answers questions for me when my loan left his company for another bank to control. I can’t say enough good things about working with Zak. As someone who is a first time home buyer & whose income was gravely affected by COVID, I was very anxious about the process. Not to mention, we are not educated enough to know how to purchase our own homes! I was denied a traditional bank loan by a large banking firm in June 2022 due to income loss from COVID, but was able to reapply in December and decided to go with Zak. Not only did he start working on my application & answer my questions OVER THE WEEEKEND, but he was attentive, helpful, honest, and a cheerleader throughout the whole process. He even came down to Charleston to look at homes. Zak went above and beyond and I could not have been more impressed, highly recommend working with him and will be sending him to all my friends!

Zak was awesome! Not only did he pick up every time I would call him at odd hours of the night to answer all of my questions for multiple days, he also drove over an hour to have lunch with us and explain in person. It was so nice and convenient that he even set up closing to be done at our new house. Zak made the entire refinance process so fast and easy. He was able to lock in a great rate for us and we closed within about a month.
