Pedimos amablemente que nos cambien la mesa, nos dieron una al lado de la puerta de entrada y de la puerta de emergencia. Abrían las dos y no se podía estar del frio. No nos cambiaron porque si bien había otras mesas ya estaban reservadas. Nos trataron bastante mal en un restaurante que es bastante caro, dijimos que nos íbamos y nos trajeron la comida entonces optamos por quedarnos cenar en irnos.Pedimos para compartir unas costillas que estaban hervidas y muy picantes. La ensalada la trajeron antes o sea que no hubo acompañamiento. Más tarde nos reconocieron las bebidas y el postre ya que realmente se sentía el frío y encima nos habían tratado mal.
No recomiendo el lugar, si el bar. El bar está atendido con gente muy buena onda y que tiene ganas de trabajar. Saben muy bien hacer su trabajo, por eso dejo las dos estrellas. Deberían anular esa mesa y no perder clientes para que la pasen mal.

⭐ 1/5 – Very Disappointing Experience for a Team Event
We booked this restaurant for a team event with a required minimum spend, which we planned to meet. During dinner we actually spent less than the minimum, so toward the end of our reserved time we asked the staff to whether or not we reach the required amount.
Instead of letting us know about our remaining spent. The staff abruptly told us not to worry about it—despite us clearly trying to meet the minimum spend they required. They let us know only after our allocated time ended and after pushing back we were allowed to place a few more orders.
We decided to get desserts to-go, and the portions were noticeably small. We also ordered dessert wine, and were told it had “finished,” even though the exact bottle we requested was visibly sitting in the wine cellar right next to our table. Only after pointing directly at it did they reluctantly bring it out.
Overall, the service felt unprofessional and uninterested in accommodating us, even though this was a pre-booked group event with guaranteed business for them. This is not the quality or hospitality one would expect from a restaurant that sets a minimum spend. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning or recommending it for future team gatherings.

You know how I judge a restaurant? one question only. Would I go back? After at least a dozen visits to Upland, i’ve never been let down. The food is phenomenal and i’ve thoroughly enjoyed every single meal i’ve had there.

Warm, modern space with really well-executed dishes. The pastas and pizzas are standouts, and the service is consistently professional and friendly.

First time here and WOW. The server, Joel was super attentive and nice, I think my water was refilled 9 times, new plates/silverware with each course, very impressed with the service. The food was outstanding, starting with the complimentary bread, so soft and amazing butter. Then the burrata, margarita pizza, cacio &peppe and rigatoni for our table, all so tasty and you can tell it’s made with fresh ingredients and homemade pasta! We didn’t leave a crumb behind. We got the olive oil cake too and they put a candle in it for my bday. To top it off, the atmosphere was intimate with lovely booths yet lively! Can’t wait to return!

*UPDATE*
Upland reached out and apologized for everything. They remedied the situation and invited me back to try again. I live in Canada but have a trip to NYC coming up again soon. I plan to come by and give them a try again. Will update again once I give them another try.
This restaurant was highly recommended to me and I was excited to try it. We arrived before opening and patiently waited until they opened. The hostess was Incredibly rude and snooty when I informed her that I didn’t have a reservation. She told me if we promised to be quick she could seat us. Which we were. When we were seated the original waiter gave us the dinner menus. After we received our drinks the new waitress realized the mistake and brought us the lunch menu. She was very flippant, wasn’t informative and barely came to the table. The actual food was a 5/10. The portions were tiny. The noodles weren’t even al dente and the sauce was barely flavourful. There’s much better places in NYC than upland.

We were so excited to try this restaurant after seeing its aesthetic interior on our Instagram feed. The food was just as good and the flavors of each dish were really well-balanced. We tried the pappardelle and the salmon. ALSO there's free bread. It was the fluffiest ever and we devoured the loaf. I was surprised that the miso caramel cheesecake had a thick drizzle of caramel but was somehow not too sweet, and the olive oil cake was also amazing.

Terrible food. This was one of those nyc restaurants with extremely salty food. The service and ambiance were great but hard to finish the food.

Amazing service here and food was quite good. I wouldn't recommend the Caesar salad (too fishy), but the paparadelle was exceptional - one of my fave dishes I had in NYC this trip

Busy active Resturant with mix of regular dinners and business lunch crowd. Buzzing but still comfortable level to talk. Food came out in a timely manner, staff was very accommodating and attentive. Group of 7 and we all truly enjoyed our lunch. Will be back!

Came here on a second date. Ambience was pretty cool. It was kind of loud though and difficult to hear each other. The food was okay. The waiters were maybe a little too attentive. They came back frequently to ask us if we were finished with our food. We felt very rushed. In fact, we probably dined for an hour or less. My date and I had to go somewhere else to finish our evening. Neither of us appreciated being rushed to leave especially since we'd made a reservation ahead of time. I won't be returning.
