A Day with Kamill by Ulysses Istanbul
We booked a private tour , small group of 4 people , Blue Mosque , Hagia Sophia , Topkapi Palace , Cistern Basilica , Suleymaniye Mosque . Kamill has been a valuable guide , an excellent cicero , a connoisseur of customs and traditions , empathetic and professional . We spent the whole day with him and I must say it was the right choice. Recommended absolutely.

Not only Bazaar!!
Six friends travelling to Istanbul 5 days. In a city of 16 mil inhabitants it was unthinkable to do everything yourself!! You would have seen the main attractions risking losing precious time in the queues and waiting at the entrances. We also wanted to visit “other” , a bit outside the standard circuits.We contacted Ulysses Istanbul and planned with Yildirim an immediate feeling on how to manage our trip.We had his punctual and complete assistance in excellent Italian during two days of private visit. He also introduced us to neighborhoods where it was evident that we were almost the only tourists present. We enjoyed an exquisite reception from local merchants and restaurateurs and became aware of many small curiosities that an absurd city like Istanbul can offer. We have discovered how coexistence between peoples and religions and customs can be possible. We certainly would not have succeeded alone.Yildirim was just fantastic.Experience definitely positive and advisable.
A city that kidnaps and enchants you

They ghosted us
I contacted them 1 month before departure. They let us wait until monday before the departure because they don't know if they had enough people.
I asked again yesterday if there was any news and no answers (but they have read my message on whatsapp!). So, today I'm starting my trip to Istanbul, but I'm not getting the tour with them even if they write me back. I cannot be so unsure of my desired guided tour until the departure day!!!

Yildirim , a very knowledgeable and experienced guide , accompanied us ( 8 friends) for two full days to discover the wonderful Istanbul , both in the European and Asian parts . With his precious help we also visited less touristic but beautiful realities that should be absolutely known. He is very helpful and, with his explanations and stories, you can immerse yourself in history and everyday life. We would never have been able to see and know so much about Istanbul in such a short time without him. I highly recommend it.

We visited the most symbolic places of Sultanahmet with Marco, a guide whose culture has kidnapped and transported us to other times. Discovering the heart of Istanbul
I did the classic tour (the one of Sultanhamet) with Mirco who turned out to be a nice but above all prepared guide, of an immense culture and of maximum availability and kindness, one of the best that I happened to find in my travels. I can only highly recommend this tour operator to anyone who wants to discover the true essence of Istanbul.

He organized everything down to the last detail from the assistance and Welcoming at the airport to the check-in at the hotel. The group spent 5 days with the guide Yildirim, they were all delighted. Istanbul with Destinations
The tour of the most important attractions of the sultanaalhmet district together with Mete, our ironic, prepared Turkish guide and a sarcastic thread. A group of nice people combined for the occasion, even my girls were interested in the visit despite the long walk. Yildrim, with whom I was in contact has made himself available for all our requests. I highly recommend this tour operator
Unfortunately it didn't go as planned
I must admit that I had a lot of faith in Ulysses Istanbul and Yildirim who was our contact person for the organization of the tour. Unfortunately, however, our group was entrusted with Ety, absolutely a good person and very polite, but from the point of view of the quality of the excursion was little present because it took us to the predetermined areas, a very brief explanation before entering the places, including the Basilica of the Cistern that needed to be explained inside in detail, but once entered left us alone giving us only the appointment for the new meeting. But I must specify that surely there was someone in the group who destabilized Ety with arrogance, ineducation and conceit and this will have penalized everyone, including us, but unfortunately the disappointment remains for a tour of Istanbul that did not meet the value for money unlike many who preceded us choosing the excursion with Ulysses.
A perfect guide
We were 17 friends and acquaintances traveling to Istanbul for the first time. Thanks to Marco, we were able to deepen and have a broad view of his history, culture and life. In three days we saw very different parts of one, immense city. Do not visit Istanbul without a guide, for us Marco was a great added value to the trip and we will never stop thanking him for his knowledge, his culture and his patience.
Muharrem is the perfect guide to Istanbul
We spent a whole day with Muharrem. She was a superlative guide, she explained with great care all the monuments and palaces we visited and answered every question with great knowledge and competence. With great care he took charge of the group without haste. Not only that, when we asked him to want to visit other places that were not included in our agreement, he stayed with us to guide us beyond the scheduled time. Italian tourists, Ask for Mhuarrem
We have relied on Mr. Muharrem, experienced tour guide and known (from the greetings he received in passing through the streets of the sultanhamet) by local merchants positively.Punctual and accurate, he confirmed the appointment through whatsapp and well advised us a parking space for our rental car just a few minutes from the Topkapi (which, by the way, for an entire daily stop cost less than 8 euros).As soon as we met he shared with us the program and took us to see the most important monuments in the area.In order the Sultanhamet Mosque (blue); the Hagia Sophia; the topkapi palace and the Basilicata cistern of Hagia Sophia.As well as very competent and precise. He also proved to be a proud example of a Turk, careful to explain to us that every custom and tradition has a precise reason behind it and inextricably linked to the ethics of their people.It also allowed us to buy skip-the-line tickets so we could access without wasting a minute behind the stops to buy entrance tickets.Recommended!!
A disappointment
Unfortunately we were not at all satisfied.Our guide Muharrem immediately proved to be very hasty, already at 10 it seemed he could not wait to get to the end of the tour.The explanations were superficial, little richer than we could have found in a common paper tour guide or an audio guide. The answers to our questions were vague, not complete, it seemed he did not know or did not want to add anything more to his usual speech that he repeats every day and as soon as something more was asked, he ran away irritated, literally ran away from the group, almost annoyed to have to add something or repeat things that we had not understood, maybe even just because we did not understand his Italian. Even when we tried to explain to him that they did not want to eat at the place he indicated, because some of us have food intolerances, he turned around rudely and ran away.As for the tour, we had expressly asked for time to stay at Topkapi Palace and were told that we would be there about 3 hours. Our guide was with us only 45 minutes in the harem and then left us inside alone to turn around empty for an hour, without any other explanation, telling us that we could have asked him something at the exit... we immediately tried as soon as we left, but nothing... he runs away! We paid 50 euros for the palace, but we were not given the opportunity to fully enjoy its beauty... we might as well take the audio guide!We were not conveyed passion or curiosity in what we were told, as we usually have with any other tour guide in the world.This tour may be good for "rush" cruise tourists, certainly not for a family that invests passion and curiosity in travel.Doing your job without passion is not a good way to live.
