We have just returned from a weekend Ty Ucha and what a lovely chilled relaxing weekend it was. The site was only reopened in the summer 2025 and has been done to an excellent standard. The pitches are all serviced pitches with fresh water, electric and aerial sockets on the poles and grey waste water drain on each pitch. The TV signal is not very reliable so worth setting yourself up with a TV lead long enough to reach the on site aerial at the pole.
Toilet facilities are excellent and spotlessly clean. The men's consisted of 3 sinks, 3 toilets, 2 urinals and 2 shower cubicles. I am presuming the ladies were very similar but without urinals. The road around the site is laid as tarmac with the good sized pitches being made of gravel.
The access to the site is a short distance from the A5 and not a problem at all. You have to put a pin code into the barrier for access and exit which helps with security on the site.
The positioning of the site gives great 360 degree views which are fantastic. There are plenty of walks around the site which you can start from the doorstep.
Walking into Llangollen takes about 20/25 minutes if you wanted to do a bit of mooching around or even go for food and drink and not worry about driving.
The site owners are lovely, friendly, helpful and very welcoming. We were told that they are also people who have toured for a long time so they have tried to make the site the sort of place they would like to be at with all the little extras.
Ty Ucha is a really lovely site and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone, I for one will definitely be returning in the future.
Mark and Carole.
We are forever grateful to have found ty-ucha.
Helen has gone above and beyond to make are stay so lovely. The campsite is perfect in every way, from the location to the facilities. Having spent a lot of time there we’ve found many of lovely walks, easy/hard and tried many of the lovely bars/restaurants in Llangollen town that’s only 15 minutes walk to. The site has a lovely warm welcome to it, with lovely views all around.
Already looking forward to being back next year. Thankyou so much. Rach&tom

Stayed here for a weekend in October. Fantastic site, the facilities are immaculate and the views are stunning. Pitches are larger than most other sites we have been to and the price is very reasonable. The walk into the town is approx 15-20 minutes along a short road then a housing estate. We will definitely be returning and would recommend.
What a great find this site was for our 5-night stay in Sept/Oct. We travelled up from Dorset not knowing the Llangollen area at all, but as soon as we arrived we knew we had booked a real gem of a campsite/area. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and told we could pitch on any free spot, being slightly out of season we had a choice, but every pitch has cracking views. All pitches are fully serviced, the toilet block is brand new and very clean and spacious, you can tell a lot of effort and care has gone into this site. We will certainly not hesitate to stay again at Ty Ucha if we are in the area again!.

We highly recommend this caravan park.
Being our first motorhome experience, we needed a little guidance - Helen could not have been more patient and helpful - excellent customer service and a really lovely person to deal with.
The facilities were impeccably presented, spotlessly clean and tidy.
A lovely start to our motorhome holiday, thank you.
Having found this little gem it would be rude to keep it to ourselves. Everything about this lovely campsite was perfect.
Helen was an amazing host and was fantastic and assisting us in the location of the nearest vets as one of our spaniels went poorly during our stay. Helen didn't rush us of the site due to the vet visit.
The campsite was perfectly quiet and well kept. The toilet block was fantastic.
Thank you Helen and Otto you were fab. Looking forward to visiting you next year hopefully.
What a find, a fantastic campsite with a warm welcome: spacious between campers/ caravans, green all the way around, great views. The facilities are brand new and luxurious: the shower cubicles have plenty of space and no need to keep pressing a button when showering. Walking distance from Llangollen and other beautiful places. Recommended highly, we hope to return

This is a lovely quiet campsite, amazing, clean amenities block.
Each pitch is huge and you can choose your own when you arrive.
Helen couldnt have been more helpful.
We are usually coast goers but this campsite provided a place to base ourselves for trips out. Visits to the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and especially a trip to the British Ironworks Shropshire sculpture Park are a must.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Ty Ucha Caravan Park, and Helen made the whole experience even more special. From the moment we arrived, she gave us the warmest welcome and went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. The site itself is beautifully kept, peaceful, and in a stunning location with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and just a short drive into Llangollen.
Helen’s friendliness, local knowledge, and genuine care for her guests really stood out – nothing was too much trouble. It’s clear she takes great pride in the park, and it shows in every detail. We left feeling completely relaxed and already planning our next visit.
Thank you, Helen, for making our stay so enjoyable – you’re a credit to Ty Ucha Caravan Park
Just spent the BH at Ty Ucha, its a gorgeous and very peaceful site, very well thought out in design and space.
Large pitches, fully serviced, and the facilities are 6wks old and immaculately looked after.
No main road noise like the other large site in Llangollen, just the tweeting of birds haha
Short and quiet walk into Llangollen.
Wonderful quiet site, lovely clean toilet block, and the most unreal views from any pitch!
We were greeted by the lovely Helen, who might I add does not stop!
We were able to pick any pitch that we wanted, the pitches are a nice decent size too!
We’re definitely going to be going back again, and would recommend this place to couples, families and dogggy owners!
