Our thanks to Tozer Heating & Air for excellent and attentive service. I can see why we were referred by two separate individuals when we started our journey to upgrade. Donald gave us our initial consultation with options and answers to all of our questions to make an informed decision about our heating and air conditioning project. Melissa orchestrated the dates and got us set up with future maintenance. The installers, Kenny, Tristen and Cooper, were extremely knowledgeable, hardworking, and left our home in a clean condition. The entire project was pleasant and stress free. The Tozer proprietors have a great team. They must certainly know that happy, competent, and helpful staff will always take good care of their customers. We will continue to work with Tozer for the maintenance of our existing and new systems. We will not hesitate to refer their services.

At the end of October, we realized our old furnace had to be replaced! It is not the kind of news we wanted to hear! Our home is 70 plus years old, so many things had to be considered.
Within hours of our initial contact with Melissa at Tozer Heating & Air ( Kingston), we had an appointment for a free quote the following day. Donald came to our home and discussed possible options for replacement of our furnace. We wanted to know our options for propane furnace replacement, and the possibility of adding a heat pump. We had many questions, and Donald had the answers. One of which was "would an upgrade to our electrical panel be required so we could have a heat pump"? Donald arranged for an electrician, RJ Kennedy to come and inspect our electrical requirements. Rob was very thorough, and we are working with him and Ontario Hydro to complete the required upgrade. Donald outlined our options, and we never felt pressure to purchase. We decided to secure Tozer's service, and our furnace was installed within a week.
Meanwhile the very efficient Tozer team of Brad and Alex completed our furnace installation. These two are an exceptional team, professional, efficient, and fun. Brad and Alex were working in a small utility/laundry room with multiple household equipment surrounding them. They removed the old furnace, replaced/added necessary pipes and venting, and installed the new furnace. Kudos to Brad braving the attic and Alex fearlessly crawling into the small crawl space to complete the thermostat installation. Brad and Alex’s workmanship is second to none, and they left our utility room immaculate. Alex, thank you for your patience while explaining how to pair the smart thermostat to our phones. We are looking forward to the upgraded electrical panel and installation of the heat pump in January.

The old furnace was making some awful sounds. A quick Google search convinced me to give Tozier a call. They came within 24 hours and identified the problem. Instead of simply convincing me, they explained and supported it with a visual. Long story short, a new furnace was needed.
Donald showed up within 45 minutes and took a look and explained what would be needed. There was no hesitation and I agreed with his proposal.
On Friday, Brad and Alex showed up at 7:30am and got to work on the new installation. Once finished, they took me downstairs to show and explain what was done. They took away the old furnace and made sure everything was clean. They worked fast and efficiently, and by 10am, the house was finally heating up again. And boy does that feel good!
In less the 48 hours, a technician came and diagnosed the problem, a specialist came to analyze and propose solutions, and the installers came to install the furnace. Absolute impeccable service. No pressure to buy. No pressure to upsell. Just the facts and the options. The decision was easy.
I would recommend them in a heartbeat. The professionalism and the speed with which everything took place was a first. Conversations were about the issue and the solutions, not about the money. And that was refreshing. On top of that, they are local! And in these times, we should encourage local businesses.
Oh, and I shouldn't forget Melissa who arranged and communicated regularly to keep me informed of the process and progress.

Brad and Alex did a great job of installing a tankless water heater for me. In a tight space, they manoeuvred the old hot water tank out, carefully cleared up any debris and water on the floor, and added the new heater. Everything looked great when they finished!
Brendan was great, so patient with me, answering all my concerns about heating and cooling, and giving full explanations. I really appreciate all his help!

We’re very happy with our new ductless heat pump from Tozer! We chose the Deluxe Kinghome by Gree, and it has exceeded expectations. Tozer installed it about 4 months ago, right in time for the first summer heatwave, and we’ve barely used our central air since. Honestly, I only wish we’d gone this route sooner instead of upgrading our central HVAC system before working with Tozer.
The entire team was a pleasure to deal with. Despite the retrofit challenges of our older home, the installation crew did an impeccable job — professional, efficient, and they left the space spotless when finished.
We are lucky to have such a reliable, family-owned local company here in Kingston.
