I looked at so many paella classes before booking and I’m so happy we went with this one. We organized this experience for a group of 26 people during our team offsite and it ended up being one of the highlights of the week.
I loved that the experience started with a visit to the market to buy the ingredients we were going to cook with. It made the whole experience feel much more authentic and connected to the food itself. We also got to make sangria and dessert, which made it feel like a full experience rather than just a cooking class.
The entire team at Gab Lab was hilarious, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable about paella and its history. The vibe was perfect from start to finish. I’ll admit I was initially worried because they’re very popular on tourist websites and I thought it might feel overly touristy, but it honestly didn’t at all. It felt warm, authentic, and genuinely special.
And somehow… it was seriously some of the best paella I’ve ever had. Still can’t believe we made that with our team.
Delicious and fun
What a great experience. Andres, our Chef was fun, and gave great instruction on how to prepare all the ingredients, keep everything clean while we went along. The final result was a delicious paella and sangria followed by a simple but delicious St James cake. We took the left overs back to our hotel and enjoyed them later that evening.
Came here as part of my friends’ wedding activity. We were a group of about 25 people; the space accommodated all of us very nicely and we were all also able to participate comfortably. From Sangria making to paella cooking, this was a wonderful way to get to know and properly taste Spanish cuisine. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
A must visit institution! The best paella making class ever. The whole team (Nestor, Hugo, Simon, Yaya, Gabriella, y Maria) were so accommodating, patient, and skilled in the art of paella making. These guys will take you from the start of seafood foraging to cleaning and getting the socarrat. I’d come back and do it again!
