Very Satisfied with Ancient Greek Tours
This is the third year we have used Ancient Greece Tours, and we couldn’t be more pleased with our experience. From start to finish, their team has been professional, responsive, and incredibly easy to work with. Their communication is excellent, and they have always been helpful, flexible, and willing to accommodate the unique needs of our group. Our guide was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, funny and wonderful with our students. She brought the history and culture to life while helping us have fun along the way. Day trip to Delphi
Yannis our guide was so knowledgeable and pleasant. The van was very comfortable. We had a terrific time and could not have asked for more. We opted for a local guide in Delphi as well, which was a lovely addition to the tour. Yannis also ensure we had a fabulous local lunch on a cliff side restaurant with an unforgettable view. Would certainly use this company again.

George is the BEST!
George was truly AMAZING! From the pick up at our hotel early in the morning, to driving us through our stops at Thermopylae and Delphi, to dropping us off almost eight hours later, he was not only a wonderful conversationalist, but he was incredibly informative. On the drive he essentially provided a masterclass in the Persian War and the culture of Ancient Sparta, Athens, and Persia. For lunch he arranged us a table at To Patriko Mas, a delicious restaraunt overlooking the sea and gorgeous mountain sides. If you are a history buff or classicist, I cannot recommend this trip highly enough. I will say, if you are on the fence about it you don't necessarily need to make the extra Thermopylae leg unless you're a giant nerd (like I am).

The day started with a pick up at our hotel- so convenient. We were so excited to tour ancient Corinth and experience where apostle Paul stood. Our private driver and guide was Peter. He was extremely knowledgeable in Paul’s history, shared with us Greek history which prepared us for the tour. (While driving) So it made the drive go by so fast. Peter was very kind, generous and was also interested in our country. (USA) Paul gave us time to have lunch before we headed back to Athens. On the way to Corinth we stopped at the canal, bridge, and then Acient Corinth. It was very memorable and a pleasant experience

Yannis is incredibly knowledgeable about Greek history, but what truly sets him apart is how he brings it to life. Beyond the Acropolis and the major historical sites, Yannis showed us parts of Athens we never would have discovered on our own. He took us to an amazing coffee spot, brought us to the highest point in Athens for breathtaking panoramic views, and even took our son to a pharmacy when he needed one. It wasn’t just a tour—it felt like exploring the city with a knowledgeable local who genuinely cared that we had the best possible experience. Awesome Lefkas trip
If you’re traveling anywhere in Greece, stop looking and book with Ancient Greece Tours & Transfers. This was my second time using them. A few years ago, my sister and I did a Meteora tour with Tas, and this summer we booked him again for a transfer/tour from Athens to Lefkas with my son, my sister, and me. The fact that we specifically wanted Tas again should tell you everything you need to know. Tas is genuinely one of the best guides and drivers I’ve ever met. His knowledge of Greek history is incredible, but what makes him special is how naturally he shares it. It never feels like a lecture—it’s like spending the day with an extremely knowledgeable friend who loves his country and loves sharing it. Every stop became more meaningful because of the stories and context he provided. Beyond that, he’s simply a wonderful person. Warm, funny, patient, professional, and genuinely kind. He immediately puts everyone at ease, including kids. He also went out of his way to take photos of our family throughout the trip and sent them to us afterward, which was such a thoughtful touch. Those pictures are memories we’ll keep forever. The vehicle was comfortable, the driving was excellent, communication was easy, and the entire experience was seamless from beginning to end. It’s rare that I can say I’ll never even consider another company, but that’s exactly how I feel. As long as Tas and Ancient Greece Tours & Transfers are available, they’ll be our first call every time we return to Greece. Thank you, Tas, for another unforgettable day.
