An amazing experience, discovering Gêres National Park. You will be doing things like kayaking, standup paddle, visiting and swimming in lagoons near beautiful waterfalls. All of this is shared on a tour with great people from all over the world, giving us the fantastic opportunity to talk to them and learn their stories too. Our guide Nuno was absolutely welcoming, friendly, and kind, chatting with everyone and providing a memorable experience.
I booked the Peneda-Gerês National Park Day Trip with Oporto Adventure Tours in September and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Our guide Alejandro was fantastic - knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the nature and history of the region. The transfer and overall organization were smooth and the communication beforehand was excellent.
The tour took place in a small group of just eight people which made the experience much more personal and relaxed. The landscapes in the national park were stunning and we even had the chance to try delicious local food.
The tour itself isn’t very physically demanding but it’s perfect for anyone who enjoys swimming. We had two opportunities to swim in natural pools and waterfalls - the water was ice-cold, but the experience was amazing!
I joined the tour as a solo traveler and felt completely comfortable the entire time. I can highly recommend this trip to anyone including other single travelers. A truly memorable day in nature! Thank you! 🌞🐺
We started our vacation with an adventure tour, and it was amazing! Our tour guide Alejandro was knowledgeable and went above and beyond for the group and the experience. We bumped into another group a few times and Inez was so kind and helpful. Learning about the Wolf Village, sharing the local green wine, and swimming in beautiful, frigid pools could not be beat. Highly recommend!!!
WOW, what an amazing tour this was. If you are reading this -- it's a sign for you to book it! You won't regret it. My partner and I booked the kayak tour, which consisted of kayaking + a short hike to a stunning waterfall.
Our tour guide, Diogo, was awesome! He's very personable and interacted with everyone. He also was very knowledgeable on the area and made sure everyone was having a good time.
The viewpoint/miradouro at the end was absolutely breathtaking.
Something we also appreciated was that we were able to be picked up in Braga, which we found wasn't too common for other tour companies we looked at.
Overall this experience was so unique -- we have already told many of our friends to go on this tour if they can! Thank you Diogo and Oporto Adventure Tours for having us, we had a wonderful time!
Had an amazing tour into the national park to see waterfalls and the old village! Pedro was a great guide and made sure we had a chance to swim, as well as giving us lots of information about the area and plants. We had a great lunch at a local restaurant too - one of us is coeliac and Pedro made sure everything was safe. Would highly recommend!
Our tour with Diogo was an absolutely fantastic 5-star experience! From the moment he reached out the night before with clear details and even checked on our son's booster seat needs, we knew we were in great hands. I had a kayaking tour, it was perfect! They were incredibly helpful with everything. Our tour guide, Diogo, was truly an amazing person. He kept the atmosphere social throughout the day. We laughed and had a great time. We ate delicious food and drank green wine. The kayaking tour and waterfall tour were incredibly beautiful.
I booked this tour for my birthday and had the best day ever! The national park was absolutely stunning, and the whole experience felt special from start to finish. The tour was very well organised, and I loved learning about how the company supports the local village community and helps with tree planting in the park such a meaningful initiative.
Our guide Diogo was a legend ! so deeply connected to nature and the region. His passion for what he does and for the land and the community truly shines through, making the experience priceless. I also really enjoyed sharing the day with two other wonderful travellers. And Diogo’s taste in music was brilliant it added even more fun to the journey!

We had an amazing experience on the Kayak in Peneda-Geres National Park. Our guide, Gui, was engaging, friendly, and knowledgeable in sharing history and information about the park. We could not have asked for better weather that day too! Kayaking on the lake was beautiful and peaceful. We hiked to a hidden waterfall, had a delicious lunch, and then got to see even more gorgeous views. We also had the special experience of coming across some of the wild horses that are in the park. It was really an overall special day. While many people take day trips to the Douro Valley for wine tours, we chose this instead to do something different and get to experience nature. We're so glad we did! We can't recommend Oporto Adventure Tours enough.
