This experience could not have been any better! I always travel alone and pride myself on doing everything independently, so I had my doubts if I would enjoy a guided experience. I did! I absolutely loved it! Our guide Diogo knew everything about local history and nature - including birds, lizards and wolves. He took us to magical waterfalls, where we swam in the blue lagoons. In the ancient local village, he knows everybody by name - even the dogs and cows (Mimosa the cow had just had a calf ❤️). With Diogo, we gained access to places I could not have accessed alone. And learned things I had no idea existed. Oh, and the local food and wine were excellent! I can only recommend this experience. It is unique and very much worth the cost.

Did this guided tour in January, which is technically off-season in Portugal, however the views and experience were just as amazing! We were brought to a couple of waterfalls and amazing spots. We saw lots of wildlife and the local villages. The lunch provided was amazing and so much food to choose from. They did a great job of accommodating dietary restrictions and still had lots of food to choose from. Diogo was our guide and was an absolute beauty. He was extremely knowledgeable in the context of the plants, animals, insects and history of the many villages found within the park. He was super accommodating to the few of us who experienced motion sickness from the ride. You can tell he is very passionate about what he does and enjoys spending time with everyone involved. My partner and I would 100% book the tour again. It was an amazing experience!

We had an unforgettable experience on our Peneda-Gerês National Park tour today. Our guide, Alejandro, was absolutely outstanding. From the moment we hopped into the nostalgic 1999 Land Rover, we knew we were in for something special. Alejandro’s knowledge of the land, history, and culture was remarkable, and he shared everything with such passion that it made every stop even more meaningful. One of our favorite parts of the day was the village walking tour. Meeting the warm and welcoming locals, learning about their traditions, and enjoying an incredible Portuguese traditional lunch made the experience feel genuinely authentic. We were the only guests on the tour, which made it feel wonderfully personal. Alejandro tailored the entire day based on the changing weather and our own preferences, ensuring we had the best views and the best possible experience. I truly can’t hype Alejandro enough—this tour exceeded all our expectations. Highly recommended!

An amazing experience, discovering Gêres National Park. You will be doing things like kayaking, standup paddle, visiting and swimming in lagoons near beautiful waterfalls. All of this is shared on a tour with great people from all over the world, giving us the fantastic opportunity to talk to them and learn their stories too. Our guide Nuno was absolutely welcoming, friendly, and kind, chatting with everyone and providing a memorable experience.

I booked the Peneda-Gerês National Park Day Trip with Oporto Adventure Tours in September and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Our guide Alejandro was fantastic - knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the nature and history of the region. The transfer and overall organization were smooth and the communication beforehand was excellent. The tour took place in a small group of just eight people which made the experience much more personal and relaxed. The landscapes in the national park were stunning and we even had the chance to try delicious local food. The tour itself isn’t very physically demanding but it’s perfect for anyone who enjoys swimming. We had two opportunities to swim in natural pools and waterfalls - the water was ice-cold, but the experience was amazing! I joined the tour as a solo traveler and felt completely comfortable the entire time. I can highly recommend this trip to anyone including other single travelers. A truly memorable day in nature! Thank you! 🌞🐺

We started our vacation with an adventure tour, and it was amazing! Our tour guide Alejandro was knowledgeable and went above and beyond for the group and the experience. We bumped into another group a few times and Inez was so kind and helpful. Learning about the Wolf Village, sharing the local green wine, and swimming in beautiful, frigid pools could not be beat. Highly recommend!!!

WOW, what an amazing tour this was. If you are reading this -- it's a sign for you to book it! You won't regret it. My partner and I booked the kayak tour, which consisted of kayaking + a short hike to a stunning waterfall. Our tour guide, Diogo, was awesome! He's very personable and interacted with everyone. He also was very knowledgeable on the area and made sure everyone was having a good time. The viewpoint/miradouro at the end was absolutely breathtaking. Something we also appreciated was that we were able to be picked up in Braga, which we found wasn't too common for other tour companies we looked at. Overall this experience was so unique -- we have already told many of our friends to go on this tour if they can! Thank you Diogo and Oporto Adventure Tours for having us, we had a wonderful time!

Had an amazing tour into the national park to see waterfalls and the old village! Pedro was a great guide and made sure we had a chance to swim, as well as giving us lots of information about the area and plants. We had a great lunch at a local restaurant too - one of us is coeliac and Pedro made sure everything was safe. Would highly recommend!
