Elena, our guide, led us through the best experience of our trip! Was a real gem of a town, the nature tour was beautiful and remote, the swims were refreshing and pristine. A delightful departure from the bustling busyness during the majority of our trip.
I went on a hike up in the mountains and it was the best experience ever!! The views were amazing, the food was delicious and our guide Guilherme was so great. He was fun, patient and taught us a lot about everything we saw. Big shout out to him for making the experience one of a kind!!
I joined the Gerês National Park tour yesterday, and it was one of the highlights of my holiday!
Guilherme is exactly the kind of tour guide you hope to get. He is funny, friendly, patient and always thinking ahead. He drove very safely and calmly and was considerate not only of our group but also of other people on the road. Throughout the day he created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, and there was always something to laugh about.
As one of the older participants (63 years), I especially appreciated how attentive he was. Whenever someone needed a hand getting up or down a difficult section of the trail, he noticed immediately and offered help. He also provided hiking poles when needed and even carried extra bottles of water in case someone's own supply was not enough.
I do not speak English, but that was never a problem. Guilherme always found a way to make sure I understood what was happening and felt included. He took care of every person in the group and made sure nobody was left behind.
The lunch included in the tour was excellent and delicious. Combined with the beautiful scenery of National Park, it made for a truly wonderful day.
His kindness, professionalism, experience and positive attitude made the whole trip enjoyable and stress-free. He is truly a tour guide as you could only wish for. I can recommend this tour 100%, and I would happily join another tour with him in the future.
We joined the Gerês National Park tour with lunch on 01/06/2026 and had an absolutely amazing day.
The communication before and during the tour was excellent. Guilherme was very open, friendly and approachable from the beginning. What impressed me most was how well he managed our very mixed group. We were all different in age, nationality and fitness level, but he made sure that everyone felt comfortable, included and well looked after. During conversations throughout the day, it was clear that everyone in the group was having a great time and was very happy with the experience.
Guilherme shared many interesting facts about Portugal, the history of the region and the national park. You can really tell that he has a lot of knowledge and enjoys sharing it. We visited some truly beautiful spots that I would never have found on my own.
It is important to know that some parts of the trails are not easy. In a few places you have to climb over rocks and roots, but every viewpoint and swimming spot was absolutely worth the effort. Just bring enough sun protection and you will be fine.
The included lunch was excellent and a very nice part of the experience.
I joined the tour in the van instead of the jeep and never felt like I missed out on anything.
Overall, it was a wonderful day full of fun, breathtaking views and great memories. If I had stayed longer in Portugal, I would have happily booked another tour with Guilherme. If you are thinking about booking this tour, I can highly recommend it, especially with Guilherme as your guide!

We had a great time. One of the best experiences I have had, and was a great way to end off our experience in Portugal. Give Mikas a raise she was so lovely. It felt like being with a friend, I would recommend this to anyone, and they should go with her because she was so kind and had good music taste! You can even go if you are unfit (like me) I managed fine. Just one last time Mikas was so awesome.
We really enjoyed our hiking and swim tour today! Pedro was a fantastic guide and, even better, a great human. He was full of great knowledge of local fauna and flora as well as Portugese history and culture. Lunch was great, plenty of time to swim in pristine watering holes and a great balance of hikes to get the blood pumping. I would recommend the tour for everybody who would like to see the beauty of the portugiese nature. Diogo was the perfekt guide for the tour. You could feel the joy he had when he told us all about the animals and nature.
Such a cool experience! Awesome hiking, adorable little village stops, our guide Biana, went above and beyond and really took the time to teach us about many of the native plants and trees and culture! You could tell she had such a passion for the people and community and environment! Don’t be afraid to swim at the water falls (it’s only cold for a minute) Would book again!!
We had a fantastic day with Guilherme! He was very thoughtful as a guide and host. Both stops were just gorgeous natural areas and lunch was very good, accommodating our dietary restrictions! Highly recommend.
Ik had nog nooit eerder solo aan een tour deelgenomen (en was op mijn eerste solo reis) en heb ontzettend genoten van de tour in Peneda-Gerês. Guide Adriano heeft mij en de groep (wij waren met z’n 8’en) meegenomen naar mooie stukjes van het schitterende nationale park, heeft ons veel kunnen vertellen en meenemen in zijn kennis en had zorg voor de groep tijdens het hiken, het soms klauteren over soms wat rotsige stukken en het zwemmen. Er was een lunch verzorgd en dit vond ik ook een lekkere en leuke ervaring. Het was prachtig!
This day trip is worth every penny. Adriano was a fantastic guide, very entertaining, knowledgeable, and friendly. The national park was beautiful and the waterfall hikes were a huge hit with our family. We loved visiting the local village for espresso, lunch, and all of the history. Highly recommend.
Had an absolutely amazing day on our waterfall lagoon tour with Diogo. He made our trip and our holiday. He was super knowledgeable, so friendly and polite and so much fun. From the chat and music in the car to the jumps into the cold water, he was a delight. He helped us through the hike and chatted all day. Dinner was amazing, catering for GF guest too. We laughed all day. Thank you Diogo. You're a star. Would fully recommend
Die Tour in den Peneda Geres National Park mit Diogo war wunderschön, abenteuerlich und abwechslungsreich. Vom Schwimmen am Wasserfall, Wandern in purer Natur, einem sehr leckeren, traditionell portugiesischem Mittagessen und einem Spaziergang in einem alten Bergdorf, in dem Diogo alle Einwohner (egal ob alt oder jung) zu kennen schien, war alles dabei.
Ich habe mich während der Tour sicher und wertgeschätzt gefühlt.
