Great, child friendly performance
The show was great. You get a glass of port and my son got a juice. The musicians were very talented and able to communicate in multiple languages, which was cool. The performance was about an hour, which is perfect if you are bringing kids along. We did the 5pm show and the timing and length was perfect. Would definitely recommend!
I really enjoyed the show and pleasantly surprised that Port Wine and water were included in the price of the ticket. I went to a Fado dinner show 3 years ago in Lisbon. It was too long for me. The one hour Cais do Fado show is just enough to provide the cultural experience I was looking for.
Intimate atmosphere. A small room, with musicians and singer just a couple of metres away. Excellent musicianship and the singer clearly demnstrated the intensity and passion associated with Fado. This is not Flamenco - all clapping and stamping., it is one person´s sharing of intense feelings and passion. For the non-Portuguese speakers, like us, perhaps a litle summary of each song would lend a little more understanding of the singer´s passion, although she did explain quite a lot about Fado in general. Our concert was slightly marred by a few noisy people behnd us, who, quite rightly, drew an few admonishing shushes from the guitarist. A captivating experience, that included a complimentary glass of ruby port.
Cette expérience ne se raconte pas, elle se vit. Profonde, intimiste, vivante, vibrante. Vraie et touchante ! Bravo !
