WOW!!!! Matt was such an amazing companion for our trip to Iceland. He is so knowledgeable and engaging! He was accommodating and incredibly patient with our large travel group and went the extra mile taking candid pictures, making a surprise stop to see the horses, cracking jokes, and chasing the northern lights for hours. Matt was awesome! We had two full days of back to back beautiful scenery and photo worthy pit stops - from waterfalls and volcanos to hot strings and northern lights. Matt was super friendly, informative and accommodating on our travels, working late into the night our first day to make sure we got a chance to see the northern lights (which we did, and it was absolutely breathtaking). Could not recommend his services more. Not only is he an all around good dude but he works tirelessly to ensure participants get the best possible touring experience of Iceland. 5 stars!

I can’t recommend Matt more. My son and I traveled to Iceland in 2024 with a group from a school in the U.S. and found him to be courteous and knowledgeable about the areas we visited. He was even flexible for food suggestions and working around weather challenges and taking us to less visited areas to enjoy without other tourists. I would definitely hire him again. We couldn't have been happier with Matt. My husband contacted him late one evening, our last night in Iceland, when it looked like there might be a good chance of seeing northern lights. We had already missed the deadline for larger tour companies and no car rental places in the city were open. Matt was super responsive to an email inquiry and we ultimately connected by phone on WhatsApp to talk about logistics and price. He worked with us to bring the price within our range, since it was such a last minute booking and there was only 3 of us to split the cost. He picked us up at the door of our hotel and used his apps and knowledge to basically take us to the only clear, non-foggy spot in the area. The van was super comfortable and he provided blankets if we needed them. Matt was professional, knowledgeable, and gave us the opportunity to see the lights one last time! He even took a bunch of pictures for us and sent them to me after the trip. Highly recommend him for anyone looking for a more personalized, private tour during their trip to Iceland.

There should be 6stars because Matt and our trip was a week long 6star experience. From the sites Matt took us to and the information that continued to pour forth from this man's brain it was a totally fantastic experience. Matt's knowledge includes everything from Geology, history, local culture and everything in between. Being a wheelchair user I felt like a member of my own family was along on the trip constantly watching out for me at every stop. The icing on the cake was the one night Matt said we were good to go for hunting the Northern Lights and just take a look at our pictures. Matt showed us how to make our own pictures. His expertise and experience knowing how to find them and where to give us the best chance of seeing them really paid off. Our trip was so good we can't wait to go back to Iceland and see more of the country with Matt. After spending a week with Matt he is now a part of our family and he and his family always have a place to stay with us in Tennessee. We also taught him where "Go Vols" comes from as we heard that several times on our trip. You absolutely won't go wrong using Matt!!!!

Matt is the ultimate travel guide. First of all, he has an encyclopedic knowledge in his head that includes everything from geology, historical facts, stories, and culture to local beliefs and everything in between. If there is something he doesn’t know, you will have it by the next stop on your tour. I am in a wheelchair and I felt like my own family was watching out for me, which is what Matt became after our weeklong tour. He made sure we saw everything we wanted to. He also has some hidden gems of his own. The cherry on top was seeing the Northern Lights. You’ve heard of the horse whisperer, well, Matt is the Northern Lights whisperer. He doesn’t give you unrealistic expectations, but he works extra hard to try to make it happen for you. He knows all the places to give you the best chance to see them.
