An excellent intro to the Fado style
This was a nice experience to listen for the first time to Fado Music. The inherent characteristics of this style are: while the guitars sound rather happy and positive, the songs are sad and and set in "minor". Both the instrumentalists and the two singers were of excellent quality.
We attended a Fado concert here. We had pre-booked as we had missed the experience last visit, and indeed, the intimate venue was full. After a friendly welcome and a slide show relating to fado, the whole hour or so (including a short break for a complimentary glass of port wine) was sublime. Two very skilled vocalists, sometimes solo, sometimes together, demonstrated a range of Fado material, accompanied by excellent musicians, one on the extraordinary Portugese 12 stringed guitar, the other on guitar (viola de fado). It was a real treat.

Excelente espectáculo. La calidad vocal d la fadista excepcional y los músicos de diez. El lugar, una sala de un edificio antiguo precioso que da un ambiente muy especial. Solo el fado puede hablar de tu a tú al flamenco y esa música solo podía nacer de nuestros hermanos portugueses. Espectáculo muy recomendable. Enhorabuena

Un’esperienza da non perdere! Vale la pena visitare l‘esposizione di chitarre e assistere a un concerto la sera. I musicisti e i cantanti sono davvero bravi.

Cantanti bravi, ma troppo turistico. Spazio cantato troppo poco. Su un’ora di spettacolo sono poco più di trenta minuti di spettacolo.
La pausa è troppo lunga, esattamente 15 minuti, quando alla reception ci avevano detto 10.
Da portoghese ho già sentito fado più originali, in locali tipici portoghesi.
