Extraordinary Once In a Lifetime Experience An awe-inspiring tour with the best of the best guide. Words seem insufficient to explain this adventure. It truly was the most incredible experience in all of my travels around the globe. Being completely honest, I was slightly skeptical this was going to go as promised until it actually happened as it seemed too extraordinary to be true. The price appears high, but after understanding the cost to maintain and functionally run The Great Pyramids of Giza, it is a fair and understandable fee. About Ramses: he expertly handles all of the complicated bureaucracy and logistics. Ramses is a PhD and is a pure wealth of information on all subjects of Egypt. He is full of passion, energy, knowledge and wisdom with a fantastic sense of humor. We genuinely had the Great Pyramid of Khufu to ourselves after hours. Ramses guided us into the ascending passageway, through the Grand Gallery to the King’s Chamber, down into the Queen’s Chamber, and further down the descending passageway to the subterranean chamber. We were enlightened with his studied knowledge throughout our fascinating journey. It was a priceless experience to be in a marvel and world-renowned structure of ancient architecture - alone. It is a real and exceptional opportunity. If you are able, do it!

A time travel with Ramses XII We spent about 7 hours with Ramses on our very first day in Giza, on which we had a custom tour tailored to our desire to see the Giza Plateau and the GEM on the same day. Ramses is a very knowledgeable Egyptologist and knows pretty much everything about all the dynasties and ancient Egypt. The full visit was packed with information and explanations that were a true pleasure. Ramses has very great communication skills as well as planning skills; thanks to his suggestions, we managed to enter the Khufu's Great Pyramid with virtually no tourists. There was a point where my girlfriend and I were the only two people at the sarcophagus chamber, and I learned that it was a quite rare experience in such a mainstream and important archaeological site. After the morning at the Giza Plateau, we headed to the Great Egyptian Museum, where Ramses made a great and detailed tour of the museum with lots of explanations and detailed stories. (The Tutankhamun wing was just amazing)... as Ramses put it, we felt like kids in a candy shop. Unfortunately, I had only one day available and I had to squeeze as much as possible, because it would have been amazing if I could have spent more time with Ramses and his very deep knowledge of the Egyptian culture. I absolutely recommend his guide, and if you have the chance to have more than one day with him, well, do it! It is just worthwhile. Thank you, Ramses, for the great time together. You truly are a living pharaoh.

Great tours with an exceptional guide! We had two tours with Rameses - Day 1 was a city tour of the Coptic & Islamic quarters. Day 2 was a tour of Giza and Saqqara. Both tours were excellent and demonstrated Rameses' expert knowledge. He tailored both tours for our Daughter (7) who struggled a little with the heat - lots of snacks and frequent breaks!Overall, I can't recommend Rameses enough! He's a star!Special shout-out to our driver, Yasser, who was always around the corner when we needed transport!

Giza Pyramids Tour Ramses XII was our tour guide for our family of 3 in October 2025. Ramses XII is an excellent guide . Firstly he was incredibly easy to deal with in planning and organising the tour . Responsive , clear communications , suggestions on ways to optimise our time together beforehand so we knew exactly what to expect on the day . Ramses XII met us at our hotel and was very informative on local infrastructure and landmarks on the way to Giza. For the tour itself he demonstrated outstanding knowledge of the culture and beliefs in the time that the Pyramids and associated buildings were built as well as the much more recent history of the pure archaeological investigations as well as the less wholesome exploitation of the Pyramids and their treasures by parties both local and international . Ramses XII took us to parts of Giza that I think other guides would not take you to help explain the purpose and construction of the pyramids in a larger context as well the beliefs and cultures in the different dynasties. Personally Ramses XII is a great guy to spend time with. To be a guide you have to have subject knowledge and an understanding of what the tourist is interested in and what they want out from the day. Ramses XI is exceptional at both and I can see why he is highly rated on Tripadviser . We finished the tour with a meal at a restaurant that Ramses XII recommended . Maybe a small point but he also did a great job at guiding us through the menu and making sure we all had a good time there too. We plan to come back to Luxor and Aswan in the future and will certainly work with Ramses XII again. Like many professions , probably more so with Tour Guides , there is a wide range of capabilities . If you book time with Ramses XII you can be sure of coming away with a much higher understanding of the the original and more recent history of the Pyramids as well as having a great time

An amazing bucket list day We really hit the jackpot when we booked Ramesses for a private tour of the Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum. The experience was brilliant from start to finish. Ramesses kept in touch by What's App so he understood our needs (including regular bathroom breaks). The pick up from Alexandria port was seamless as Ramesses kept in touch sending maps and pictures of where to meet. His knowledge and passion for Egyptian history was evident and his English was very fluent. We had an amazing day which was half the price of the ships tour but twice as enjoyable! We originally looked at a private tour because my husband could not cope with travelling for 3 hours, from Alexandria, on a bus without sufficient legroom. Our vehicle was an 11 seater Toyota Hi-Ace for 6 people including the guide and driver so plenty of room. Would highly recommend Ramesses for anyone wanting a private tour in Egypt.

Best of Cairo on a shore excursion Ramses provided a great tour on many levels. First, he customized our tour to meet the needs we had regarding the arrival time of our ship in Alexandria. As we traveled towards Cairo, he asked us what were the most important things we wanted to do in Cairo and the Giza Plateau and worked out a perfect itinerary for us. Secondly, he leveraged his Egyptology background to provide invites and knowledge about everything on our tour - he knew the Giza Plateau and the GEM like the back of his hand and guided us to the things in which we were most interested. Additionally, fending off unwanted solicitations from various market vendors, but also served to assist with negotiations so we got a fair deal on the things we wanted. Finally, he set up a dinner at a local Mandy restaurant that let us experience authentic Egyptian food. Can’t more highly recommend Ramses’ tour - he is the best!

A Remarkable Tour - learned a lot, stepped back in time and had fun. From the outset of the tour Ramses set the tone - early start to avoid the crowds and heat - open conversation about what we would like to see and gave us a list of options. Ramses has boundless energy and passion for Egypt and its history. These were two really full days with lots of site visits, detailed descriptions of what we were seeing and also the context that each tomb, pyramid, and artefact was set in. The tour of both museums left me wanting to know more, Ramses knew where every artefact of real interest was located. On a number of occasions other visitors standing next to us listed intently to his descriptions. We also had a visit to "down town Cairo" - its was great to get a real feel for the city. Ramses is a professional guide and expert - with high standards of care and making the experience memorable, unique and fun. Ramses is an absolutely fantastic guide and we would urge anyone visiting Cairo to book their tours with Ramses. He has such a depth of knowledge on both Ancient Egypt and modern day Cairo meaning that you learn a huge amount. His passion for Egypt and Egyptian history shines through. He was able to take us off the beaten track and allow us to see fascinating parts of the pyramids that you simply won’t find in guide books (and certainly won’t be taken to on big group tours!), making it truly a once in a lifetime experience that we will never forget. Ramses listened to the areas we were most interested in discovering and created an itinerary that suited our interests whilst still helping us discover new things we would’ve never gone to seen on our own.He is also a lovely person meaning that we had so much fun uncovering it all with him.
