I just want to say I am truly blessed and grateful to the doctors who performed my surgery, especially Dr. Cohen. I am extremely happy happyyy happyyyy with my results. I have lost a significant amount of weight, which has helped tremendously especially since I have had spine surgeries, and the extra weight was definitely not helping at all. The process leading up to the surgery went by quickly. Recovery was a little difficult at first, but after the first month, things started to improve slowly. Over time, you develop healthy habits around how to eat and drink. It truly is a process, but it is absolutely worth it. I would also like to thank all the staff who helped me every step of the way and made sure everything was completed smoothly. I don’t know how much more thankful I could be, other than to say how truly blessed I feel. Cheers to a new lifestyle! I highly recommend the Torrance Bariatric institute office to anyone or to a loved one who is considering a positive lifestyle change. I am thrilled with the services I have received from Dr. Roohipour and his team. The first day I called looking for help after a botched gastric sleeve surgery, Dr. Roohipour, cleared time in his schedule to meet with the very next day. I met with Dr. Roohipour and PA Katie and I felt totally confident that they would be able to help me get back some quality of life. Their entire team is knowledgeable, compassionate and responsive. I am grateful that I found this team, slowly but surely my life is returning to normal.

From the moment I had my first consolation I felt I chose the right place. Staff is friendly. Dr Jillian Angelo was very sweet and detailed about the whole process. My only dislike was that communication was by text. Personally I would have rather had a phone. But all in all it was great place and I would highly recommend checking them out if your starting your bariatric journey.

The entire facility is spotless — everything is sparkling clean, organized, and welcoming, which made a huge difference in calming my nerves. Dr. Cohen is not only highly skilled but also incredibly compassionate. He takes the time to listen and explain every step of the process, making sure you feel informed and empowered. His team is just as amazing — Nurse Jenny Kim was an absolute angel. Her warmth, professionalism, and calming presence made me feel so well cared for. Leslie, the coordinator, is a true gem! She made the entire process run smoothly and always made herself available to answer questions or offer support. This team goes above and beyond in every way. If you’re considering bariatric surgery, I can’t recommend Torrance Bariatrics highly enough. They don’t just provide medical care — they walk the journey with you. PS they gave me the cutest care pack with everything needed for my stay. It had a toothbrush, mini toothpaste, scope, brush, eye mask, slippers , and headphones.

I am 2 months post op and I am so happy Dr. Roohipour and his team helped get me here. From consult to pre appointment to surgery and post op, they have been nothing short of fully dedicated to me. They made sure I fully understood all options and how the procedure would be handled. They allowed my wife to stay with me the day of surgery and overnight for recovery. My surgery was in July so it was pretty hot outside and the room did get warm at night. My only advice is bring your clothes and little fan and don’t be afraid to ask for ice packs. The nurses were super sweet and did everything they could to keep us comfy. Family, friends, and strangers online - I recommend this facility 10/10.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Dr. A. She is exceptionally kind, compassionate, and genuinely caring. I never felt rushed during any of my appointments, she always took the time to ensure I was comfortable and fully understood every aspect of my surgery and care plan. Dr. A even followed up with me daily after the procedure, which made a big difference in my recovery and peace of mind.
