I booked a group dive and a private dive with Top Shot Spearfing. Both were great! Jeremy is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to spearfishing/diving and great at teaching noobs like me. I learned a lot about diving and fish identification. I recommend booking two dives so you can improve your spearfishing game. What a great experience!

Had an incredible dive with guide Bamm at Topshop Spearfishing — absolutely top-notch experience from start to finish. The spot was stunning, right in the middle of the lava flows and teeming with fish. Gear was excellent and Bamm’s practical tips made a real difference in the water. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a serious, well-run spearfishing operation.

Perfect balance of learning and doing. My family (two teenagers) and I had a great time learning how to spearfish from two seasoned professionals, Jeremy and Bamm. The experience was perfectly balanced with on shore instruction covering speargun operations, safety, and practice with in the water hunting. We also learned proper diving and breathing techniques that elevated our decade-plus of snorkeling experience. We had a great time in the water and felt our knowledge continue to increase with the feedback our instructor gave us as we honed our skills. We highly recommend the experience with Top Shot Spearfishing if you’re a newbie or want to improve your skills.

Took me and my girlfriend here to try out some spear fishing. Neither one of us had any experience doing this before. Was a lot of fun! Would consider myself a strong swimmer but with the combo of the wet suit, fins ,and the salt water of the ocean even a weak swimmer would not struggle being in the water the 2 and a half hours. Thanks alot Bamm for the spear fishing and snorkeling tips I learned alot and would recommend this to anyone who is even remotely interested in trying this.

I had a Great experience. My husband chat gpt the best spearfishing guide and would highly recommend. We did a group spearfishing class! Did some basic and technical training in and out of the water. Top Shot is Top Notch! Bamm and Jeremy did a phenomenal job introducing my son and I to the new experience of both free diving and spear fishing. The time spent in the classroom was appropriate to our skill level and we were able to maximize our time in the water, scoring multiple target fish. The equipment was excellent, and the instruction spot on. Prior to our experience, we spent a lot of time snorkeling the Big Island, and their location was the clearest water we found on the entire island. (I would recommend spending time in the water beforehand to accelerate the learning curve.) The fish were abundant on our day and it was an exciting experience. Bamm even cleaned all of our fish and recommended a local restaurant that cooked them up within an hour after our half day. We highly recommend Top Shot! Thank you for the memories!

Great Lesson, Fairly Difficult Jeremy is a very knowledgeable guide and this is an excellent intro to teach you how to spear fish. Be prepared because it is fairly difficult, as such the lesson is a necessity.
