The history here is undeniable, but it can be quite exhausting. Be prepared for a lot of walking and standing in lines, especially for the Treasury. I highly recommend using the Museum Pass Türkiye to skip the ticket line, though you still have to go through security. Wear very comfortable shoes and bring water, as the cafe prices inside are quite high
Das Machtzentrum des Osmanischen Reiches ist sehr weitläufig. Die Prachtentfaltung fand auch viel mehr im Freien statt. Der Harem war bis 1923 in Betrieb. Mhh, was im 15. Jhdrt. wohl sehr bequem und luxuriös war, ist um 1900 wohl eher einfach. Allein, wenn ich mir die "Sitzmöbel" anschaue. Irgendwie hatte ich mir die Prachtentfaltung der Sultane spektakulärer vorgestellt. Aber man darf nicht vergessen, dass es ein schleichender Abstieg der Osmanischen Herrscher war. Der Eintritt mit Führung und ohne Wartezeit war nicht billig, aber es hat sich gelohnt. Wenn man historisch interessiert ist, sollte man den Palast unbedingt besuchen.
