Das Angeln ist teuer, was ich durch die seltenen und großen Fischarten noch okay finde. Wir hatten jedoch leider eine wirklich toxische Atmosphäre am Wasser. Der Angelguide von einem Freund von mir war extrem unfreundlich. Er hat keine Fragen zu den Fischen beantwortet. Wenn man kleine Fehler gemacht hat (wir sind Anfänger und haben das auch kommuniziert) hat er uns angeschrieen oder auf die Finger geschlagen!

Hi Jonathan, thank you for your feedback. We are very concerned to hear about your experience, as providing a welcoming and safe environment—especially for beginners—is our top priority. What you’ve described is highly abnormal for our team. We are dealing daily for anglers of all abilities.

Our guides are deeply passionate about the welfare of these rare fish and often use hands-on instruction to ensure that they and the fishing tackle are handled correctly. However, it sounds like there was a significant communication breakdown and a misunderstanding of those intentions. We never want a guest to feel mistreated, and if there was a problem, then please you should have contacted one of the management team before you left.

We would like to look into this further and speak with the guides involved. Could you please contact us at marketing@topcats.com so we can discuss this directly and make things right and fully understand the issue for the future?

We went fishing here today. The service was fantastic. The fishing was totally amazing. Very relaxing and friendly service. Food was delicious, seafood pad thai and cheese burger were delicious. Would highly recommend this place 🫶🏼

Excellent - highly recommend We visited TopCats as a family of 4 Fished two fulls days with the assistance of Doy Simon & Larry run a professional fishing team in a beautiful setting in Thailand. We fished from 8-8 each day , set up areas clean & comfortable. Loads of fish out all day long , ranging from small to 100lb> arapaima. Equipment well maintained, everything provided for the day - nothing too much hassle. Food options are fab - English breakfast , burger and chips or Thai curry - lots of options to the peg , including beer We really couldn’t of asked for a better experience - thanks TopCats team Katy & family

Trip of a lifetime I fished at Top Cats on the 9/2/2026 for the first time and what an experience it was.On arrival we was greeted by larry who was very helpful and was soon fishing by 8am ,at 8.10 i was playing my first siamese carp of about 35lb what a start.I would also like to thank tadpole my excellent guide her angling skills are second to none.Before the end of the day i had 6 siamese carp biggest 80lb and a mekong catfish of 70lb which led me a merry dance around the lake what a fight.Sarah larry's better half was a pleasure to talk to thankyou for your time Sarah it was a pleasure talking to you, myself and Tracey would like to thankyou for listening.And finally Simon and Larry you run a fantastic venue, and i will not hesitate to recommend your venue to fellow anglers.Will definitely be returning at some point for a longer stay.Kind regards Kev & Tracey x uk

Absolutely amazing place to go and fish! Paid for a days fishing and landed 10 fish 👌🏼 biggest was 85lb and ticked off all but one of my bucket list fish! Doi my fishing guide was the best I could have ever asked for and really knows this place like the back of his hand. All the staff were great and very attentive and made this once in a lifetime trip unforgettable! Can’t wait to go again and catch one of the huge arapaima they have here!

My partner booked a day trip very last minute with TopCats and it was his favourite experience of our travelling journey so far. A big thank you to Doy our guide who was incredible at ensuring Toby caught lots of fish. The two owners were also so lovely and welcoming and went out of their way to say hello and chat to us throughout the day. A top class experience, we will most definitely be back.

Hello, and thank you for your feedback. I am the owner of TopCats, and I am sorry that I did not have the opportunity to meet you during your visit.

We apologize if our interaction felt abrupt; however, we must prioritize the privacy and safety of our fishing guests. During the high season, space is limited and the fishing area can be hazardous due to the use of heavy fishing tackle and some deep water areas.

As this is a private property, we do not allow walk-ins to access the fishing area without an escort, particularly when guests enter without an introduction. These boundaries are strictly enforced to ensure our customers enjoy the secure, quiet environment they have paid for. Our staff noted that requests to keep the area private were made twice, and it appears that private property signs were also overlooked.

We are more than happy to provide tours of the facilities, but we ask that you please make an appointment in advance or, at the very least, introduce yourself to our staff upon arrival.

First time fishing at Top Cats, Simon went above and beyond to fit us in, great owners. The guides are fantastic, really know their stuff. They have a bar and food with fabulous service. All round the best facilities I have fished at. Well looked after fish and many species. I was lucky enough to catch my personal best carp! Cant wait to come back and stay! Thank you for an enriching experience and memories that will last me a life time. I have many anglers who are blown away by the catches we had wish I could rate you higher! Look forward to coming again!

Got in last minute and it was the afternoon session on the bank I will never forget. The booking was easy, warm hospitality on arrival and straight to the rods with Doy who was my guide for the 5hr session. He worked tirelessly to ensure I got some action and we shared good conversations together too. 2 Amazon Redtails, 1 Alligator Gar, 1 Asian Redtail and I got to feel the immense power of one of the lakes Arapaima until the hook pulled free. Incredible experience! Recommend highly and will be booking well in advance before my next trip to the island.

Loads of fish sore arms!! What a place!! All the staff were brilliant, but the fishing guides are amazing. Me and my son aren’t experienced but ended the with our largest fish being a 70lb Mekong catfish ( which is considered on the smallish side for this place). Would 100% recommend

Wir haben halben Tag gefischt aber ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Die Anlage ist sehr sauber Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Fischen es ist anspruchsvolle wenn man ein Fisch gefangen hat dann ist es ein Traum Fisch. Ich selber habe einen Arapaima und zwei große black carp gefangen. Mein Kollege hat 3 sehr große black carp gefangen. Danke an das Team wenn ich wieder on der nähe bin werde ich definitiv nochmal mein glück probieren.

What a day ! Simon made us feel welcome I took my 2 teenage sons and caught over 15 fish between us in 1 days fishing ,,the peg guys are great and big mention to Larry who assisted in some of our catch’s 🎣
