I've wanted to catch an Arapaima and an Amazon Red Tailed Catfish since I was a kid. In one day (on my 55th Birthday) I managed to achieve both at Topcats. Absolutely superb day a nothing I can fault. Facilities fantastic, guides were all very knowledgeable and helpful, fishing was unbelievable and the food and drink selection very good. Thanks to Simonand the teamfor making my dreams come true !
you cannot get any better than this place. be prepared to battle to land some of the biggest freshwater fish in the world 🌎 and only usually seen on television. each swim has its own guide/helper that stays with you all the time you are there. he rebaits for you and advises you. if you have a bucket list of fish you would like to catch then topcats fishery has them. even the owner Simon takes time out to welcoming you and chatting with you. this is one he'll of a good experience and the adrenaline when you hook a fish is next level. it was that good we went back a few days later 💪💪💪💪😁😁😁😁

Simon and the team do a great job looking after you. The fishing is out of this world! I dont think ive caught less than 10 fish a day each time ive been, and had up to 6 different species in a single day.
Highlights for me being Arapaima and Mekong well into triple figures, huge and powerful carp, and the chance of catching something weird and wonderful.
For the fish of a lifetime... Top Cats is the place to be.

We went to Topcats for a full days fishing. Simon the owner was very welcoming and showed us around. The fishing lake is lovely and the fishing guides so knowlegeable and helpful. Tom was our guide for the day, he was brilliant and funny, made our day. The fishing was fantastic my husband caught 10 fish, siamese carp, Mekong, alligator gar and asian catfish. The whole day was relaxed and fun. Simon came around several times and chatted with us. The food and drinks were very good. We have been to other fishing in Thailand but this is the best one highly recommend.

wow! my wife & I just celebrated part of our honeymoon trip at TopCats Fishing Resort and it was such an amazing & memorable time. (we stayed 4 days, 3 nights).
Simon is such a great Owner, he greeted us each morning (even when he had a stomach bug) & we were fortunate to be there on his birthday, in which he shared some cake with us.
everything was top notch! from HUGE delicious portions of food, to a comfy bed/room, super friendly staff who were so hospitable & of course the giant fish!
in 3 days of fishing, we landed a total of 25 fish (7 different species) & probably lost about a dozen. we can not thank our guide enough… Doy is the best of the best. he worked hard for us 3 days in a row & put us on fish non-stop. my only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! i don’t know how he did it, but he knew i wanted to catch a pacu the whole trip & it just so happened we ended the trip on the last day with a double header (one of which was a Pacu)!

Top cats is one of the best experiences on the island. Friendly and expert local guides and top quality food makes for a great days fishing. I did 12 hours and caught 11 fish. 10 all over 40 lbs. If you want to catch exotic fish. Come here

Another fantastic fishing trip to Topcats with many spectacular fish caught, arapaima up to 300lb,
Asian carp to 75 lb , Asian red tails,
Amazon red tails, pacu, tambaqui and nice specimen gourami.
I must say all the fish are in amazing condition being well looked after by the guides who do an incredible job to help you catch your dream fish.
The owner Simon is a lovely host running a great fishery making you very welcome and also arranging taxis if you need picking from your hotel or dropping back.
Topcats is very well maintained with many improvements that have been carried out since we was last here which is great to see that investment is being put back in to the business.
A credit to the owner.
The accommodation is very comfortable and clean, we stayed in no 5 bungalow which had new tiling to the bathroom, new large television also new linen.
I must mention the kitchen staff who a do great job with the catering and the food we have had is as good as anything we have had on the island if not better.
We are definitely returning in new year and very much looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Visited Top Cats Fishing Resort for a third time In 12 months. Each time I caught bigger fish and new species.
The fishing guides are experts and fun to be around. The staff are all very polite and attentive.
This place is every anglers dream, if you’re ever in Koh Samui it’s worth a visit! You won’t be disappointed.

From the very first email I sent Simon was super helpful and so friendly. We spent the morning at Top Cats as a family and were well looked after. My husband & son returned a further 2 times they loved it so much! The guides were great and they caught so many beautiful carp, cat fish & more! Two very happy fisherman! Highly recommend to all.

What a wonderful place, with a wonderful owner & staff. We visited for one day as a family, my dad & brother ended up going back a further two times. Great variety of fish and barely sat down between catches. Highly recommend for any keen fishers!

We try to afford the same excellent service to our day ticket anglers as to our staying customers. The use of all facilities is available ,such as the swimming pool and the full bar and restaurant facilities. Dont hesitate to contact us next time you are Samui please .🙏
Premetto che ho pescato dei pesci, ed anche di taglia grande. Sostanzialmente molto deluso, perché il clima era molto teso, guardia pesca più che guida, non parlano bene inglese ed è difficile capirsi. E sono molto scortesi e nervosi. Attrezzatura molto border line, tra l altro non ti fanno fare niente a te e ti danno tutto pronto. E non fatto bene, gli hair rig erano fatti male. Sembra come se ti fanno un favore a farti pescare.
Non ti coinvolgono.
Pesci molto belli ma l ambiente è mal gestito, quello che penso personalmente.
Per tornare all attrezzatura, il ferma boiles era un pezzetto di legno. Cioè per 200 euro al giorno mi aspetto uno standard. Se siete europei scordate i nostri laghi e modi di pescare.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent fishing experience with us. I am glad to hear that despite the issues you encountered, you had a successful day of fishing and managed to land some great fish.
As the manager of TopCats, I was not at the resort that day as I was returning from a short break in England. In fact, I must have just missed you as you left early, and potentially could have caught some even better fish in the last two hours of the session.
I am extremely disappointed to learn that the overall experience was not what it should have been. This is certainly not our normal standard, and you would have seen three 5-star reviews from other European customers from the very same week that you were here. We take your comments very seriously, and I have met with all relevant staff, as some of the communication aspects may need some improvements, especially since it appears you preferred to do everything regarding the fishing for yourself.
I do know that we had to caution you for fishing in a way that endangered both the fish and your own safety. One of our primary rules is that our guests must listen to the guides for their own well-being and the welfare of our fish. We also pride ourselves on the quality of our tackle, and using a natural boilie stop made from a palm tree frond rather than plastic is surely a more sustainable way to fish and, in our experience, more likely to attract fish due to its natural properties.

Ich habe Topcats bei meinem Koh Samui Urlaub zufällig im Internet entdeckt. Die Internetseite hält absolut, was sie verspricht. Bei meinem ersten Besuch am Vormittag wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen und von unserem Guide zum Angelplatz begleitet. Wir konnten in dieser Session 3 Siam-Karpfen zwischen 45 und 70 Pfund überlisten. Zeitgleich wurden überall am See wunderschöne Fische gefangen. Die Vorstellung, einmal einen Arapaima zu erwischen, lies mich noch ein zweites mal, eine Woche später, kommen. Diesmal allerdings nachmittags/abends, da dies die bessere Zeit für die nachtaktiven Jäger ist. Innerhalb kurzer Zeit konnten wir wieder 2 schöne Siam-Karpfen überlisten. Dann das nächste Highlight, ein überaus kampfstarker Mekong-Wels. Nachdem ich eigentlich schon glücklich mit dem Tag war, biss kurz vor Ende doch noch ein absoluter Traumfisch. Ein wunderschöner Arapaima. Kann mich nur bei Paul, Simon und den Guides für dieses unvergessliche Erlebnis bedanken.
