Bike tour and countryside
We had the most lovely bike tour through the north of Amsterdam. Roos lead my family on a beautiful tour of the city. We saw the most amazing parts of the city and Roos was delightful! The following day we went out to the countryside with the energetic, fun loving and friendly Jackie! We had such fun touring the beautiful villages, tasting cheese and watched the making of wooden shoes, windmill tour, and strolled through the gardens enjoying the sights and fresh air. We had the best time! Thank you for the wonderful memories!!
Amsterdam Tour with the Best of Best Guides
We spent two days with Tom Travel Tours, one in Amsterdam (with Joyce) and one in the surrounding countryside (with Timm). Both tours and tour guides were wonderful, both guides were interesting and informative and had their tours well planned and focused on our requests. They both gave us a feel of the local culture while giving delightful and often funny insights into their personal lives. Over a full day of tours, there are often dead spots in the conversations but not with these two, they kept us moving and constantly interested in the next stop in the tour. Particularly, this happens in moving through museums. But not with Joyce, she knew what we wanted to see and she focused the tour accordingly. Both of our guides were truly constantly focused on showing us a good time in the great city of Amsterdam and surrounding countryside. I recommend these two guides highly, a memorable time!!
Walking and food tour of Amsterdam with Canal cruise
We had a wonderful time with our guide Jackie. First, Tom’s tours arranged for transportation from the airport to our hotel, which was on time and very easy. Jackie was prompt and greeted us right away at our hotel lobby. We went to the van Gogh and the RijksMuseum, she made the museum’s very efficient. which were lovely. Jackie had great knowledge of the art and give us a different perspective of what we were seeing. She gave us a very informative and fun tour of old Amsterdam. She tailored it to our needs with our 15 and 20-year-old child. She was very attentive to stop when we saw that we were interested in something and spent a little extra time with my wife at the hidden church. We thought this was a great way to get a good feel of Amsterdam after a long flight. We ended our tour with a food tasting of different Dutch cuisines. Later in the evening, Tom’s tour arranged a private boat cruise in the canals to get a different feel for the city. This was also a highlight as it was very relaxing, and we got to see a lot of the city that was starting to be awake at night. The next day, Jackie again met us at our hotel, and picked us up in a nice van for a countryside tour of windmills cheeses and clogs. We stopped by several small, very quaint towns that were not overcrowded with tourists. It gave us a great feel for the countryside villages of Netherlands. Again, Jackie did a great job of explaining everything and giving us a taste of their culture.
Tom provided us with an excellent half day tour of several small towns outside of the city. A highlight was visiting a windmill. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the countryside and fun to spend the day with him.

Family Tours
Our family booked the walking tour of Amsterdam and a full day countryside and windmills tour. We had a wonderful time. Jack explained the history of Amsterdam and was very engaging and fun! He took us all over and helped up with a great lunch spot! The next day Jackie picked us up for a full day in the country. We explored beautiful towns in the Netherlands we wouldn’t have been able to see. She was quick to pivot when we wanted to bike around a small town which was one of our favorite parts. She was intentional in engaging and connecting with our entire family and personalized the whole experience. She extended our tour and gave us a history lesson of the outskirts of Amsterdam as well. We had a great time with both guides! Thanks!!
A really great tour. Julia was lovely, full of stories and little facts about amsterdam, and super easy to follow. She also kept things quite fun for the group and answered all the questions with a smile. They also give out dutch waffles and chocolates during the tour which is a great touch. All the guests loved being out and about with Julia. 10/10 recommend!

Thank you Tom's Tours for making a trip to Amsterdam a memorable one. Timm served as our guide for a 3 hour walking tour through Amsterdam. Her enthusiasm and knowledge were very much appreciated. She covered architectural highlights, daily life in Amsterdam, significant buildings in the city, information on the canals and so much more. Jackie guided us through the VanGogh and Rijksmuseum with her expert knowledge. She provided us with history on the various artists and what their lives were like at the time. Stan took us to the Jewish Quarter where he presented a wealth of information on the area's history. I appreciated his ability to answer all of our questions. Afterwards, he took us on a food tour to sample Amsterdam's best poffertjes and bread with Hagelslag along with other offerings. We spent several days with Fred who took us though some of the smaller towns and some of his favorite places. He was so receptive to what we were interested in seeing. He timed our outing in Monnickendam so we could see and hear the 11am church bells, trumpet and small horse riders celebrating the hour. The Royal Flora Holland in Aalsmeer provided insight into the importance of the flower industry and a view of beautiful flowers.
I was impressed with all of the above guides. They demonstrate not only an interest in what they present but also in their "eager to learn more" visitors. Very highly recommended company.

Amazing guides to beautiful Amsterdam!
Tom’s Travel Tours should be your first step when planning a trip to Amsterdam and the surrounding area. They helped us plan our five day holiday and coordinated knowledgeable guides for the various sites. Jackie was our art guide for the museums, and she was full of facts and interesting stories with regard to Van Gogh and the art scene during his time. She had incredible knowledge with regard to all the artists we saw during our museum tours. Stan gave us an insightful tour of the Jewish Quarter and was extremely knowledgeable as well as very kind. And last, but certainly not least was Fred, who we had with us for three days. We toured the Allsmeer Flower Auction, Edan, Gouda, Leiden, and so much more. We listened to what we wanted to see and added his own ideas as well, including bike rides, small and off the beaten path cheese farms and small towns with charm and no tourists. The canal ride that was arranged with us was a wonderful way to start our trip off to Amsterdam on our first day, and that was set up by Tom himself. This was my second time using Tom’s Travel Tours for a visit to Amsterdam. They are an incredible company that has guides that listen to what you would like to do on your trip, who you are and how much activity you would like, and they provide other ideas for your trip as well. I would give them five stars and more.

We had a wonderful private day tour. Our driver/guide Fred was very knowledgeable and engaging. He tailored the tour to our interests and our capabilities. It was a wonderful experience. However more than one bottle of water would have been appreciated.
A relaxing, informative touring experience
We had a very enjoyable, very relaxing canal tour, with a delightful skipper. She was knowledgeable about the history of the area and pointed out interesting details that we would have missed on our own. The boat was small enough that we could ask lots of questions We highly recommend it.

Van Gogh & Ruks Museums with Romy!
Toms Tours, with guide Romy, was a great experience. Our first time in Amsterdam and Romy provided a guided tour of the Van Gogh Museum & the Ruks Museum. Fabolous tour group
Tom and his team were fantastic. My wife and I will never forget the walking tour of Amsterdam, our visit to the tulip garden and the photographs at the private tulip fields. The drivers and tour guides were top notch. We highly recommend Tom’s Travel Tours.
We were lucky to have Tom as our private guide during our tulip trip with my fiancée. He was engaging, knowledgeable, and full of energy. He took us to the most beautiful tulip fields away from the crowds, making the experience feel truly special. He even acted as our personal photographer, capturing wonderful moments for us.
